Great location and setup for parents, kids and dogs (our bigger dog could jump the fence - but the upstairs deck off the kitchen was a perfect place to leave her unattended outside for a short while). Description and photos were accurate. Property was very clean and cozy - huge DVD selection with lots of kid-friendly choices. We'll be back!

My friends and I were all very impressed with this rental. Our six adults and two dogs all fit comfortably with room to spare. We chose this rental because it allowed pets and it was great for the dogs. The house is mostly wood floors which is easier for doggie cleanup. The downstairs bedroom has a sliding glass door and motion sensor light so we were able to let the dogs right out into the backyard from the bedroom in the early morning. The yard is large and fenced (although tall or ambitious dogs could probably get over it). The house was conveniently located on the grocery store side of town. The bunkbeds were an excellent way to save space and sleep more people.The owner was very responsive via e-mail to my initial questions before we decided to rent and afterwards. The house also had lots of helpful labels which informed us about household things we might otherwise have had questions about. It was nice to be able to pay with a credit card. The large collection of DVD's and wifi were an added bonus. We hope to rent again next winter and to stay longer this time! Be sure to check out the hot springs. Lots of fun!

My wife and I were very impressed with Paradise in the Pines. Jim has thought of everything to make your vacation to this part of the world complete. The kitchen had more than enough for our cooking needs. Bed Very comfortable..and the shower felt great after a day out exploring. There was plenty of local information and a great selection of movies and music to enjoy. We brought some WII games, and the system was ready for use. The home provides a great place to relax and enjoy all that Pagosa Springs and SW Colorado has to offer. Thanks for helping us make some amazing memories during our visit. We would highly recommend this home and would love to come for another visit in the future.

Property was exactly as advertised, owner was very responsive and considerate during the booking process, very comfortable furniture. Best value of all the properties I researched in the area. Got my full security deposit back. I was very pleased with this choice.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area! Incredible value. The furnishings and decor are far nicer than found in most vacation rentals. Very well equipped kitchen. Everything was impeccably clean and well maintained. We missed having cable TV but knew that coming in and enjoyed watching a few movies instead. The floorplan is comfortable for a couple or a larger family, and the yard is great for dogs or just enjoying the view. Quick and easy credit card payment and deposit refund. We will definitely be back.

A Great Three Weeks

This home is just ideal. The description and photos look just like the property-Beautiful! The home is in the core area and close to shopping, restaurants and a great mountain golf course that is open to the public. There is a large fenced back yard that was perfect for our two small dogs. As a bonus we saw deer every day and on one occassion spotted a black bear ambling just outside the back fence. This was our first time to see one in the wild. The property was very clean and the owner was always available to answer any questions. We stayed almost three weeks, and would definently recommend this property to a friend, relative, or to anyone wanting a quite get away in this beautiful part of Colorado.

What an amazing place! We enjoyed afternoon naps in the hammock, sunsets on the front porch and star watching in the Adirondack chairs. We were stunned when nine deer welcomed us on our first evening. The decorations are elegant and your attention to detail from films to teapots made us feel welcome. We can't wait to stay here again. Our family had a wonderful time at this home. It was exactly as described. The boys snowboarded and we explore the shops in town. Great movie selection at the house. Also enjoyed the kitchen, very well equipped. The house is in a subdivision that has a hill so in the winter would recommend four wheel drive and/or chains. Or patience and wait on the snow plow. Overall a wondreful place to relax.

This was our first visit to Pagosa Springs and we just loved it. Plenty of restaurants and things to do. We enjoyed Victoria's and Nello's. Your house is in a great location with beautiful views of the sunsets and we enjoyed using the front and back porches. It has the best equipped kitchen we have ever had in a rental and the beds were most comfortable. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. Some instructions on the use of the new appliances would have been helpful.

The children loved the wildlife right outside the back door... the hummingbirds and the DEER were the most exciting. What an AMAZING house!!! The house was perfect. Not only was it centrally located and had everything we needed, it was beautiful. Tastefully decorated and the furnishings were truly like our home away from home. A lot of care has gone into making this a “Great Escape” vacation rental. The bed was extremely comfortable and the jetted tub was exactly what one needed after 3 days of skiing. As far as the house not having cable…who needs to watch t.v. when there are so many things to do in Pagosa! My husband and I had a wonderful time skiing, snowmobiling and hiking up to Treasure falls. We look forward to coming back as returning guests!

Wow!! What a great place to spend two weeks in October. We had a wonderful time at Pagosa in the Pines. Everything at this relaxing home was exactly as described. From the welcoming gift of wine and Choke Cherry jelly to the comfy, cozy fireplace and bedrooms, this home did not disappoint. My husband was able to work from the home in the downstairs office where a desk, large screen monitor and WIFI access are available. The home is conveniently located close to many amentities such as City Market (grocery store), Eddies (yummy tapas and a great happy hour), Pagosa Brewing Company, and many other restaurants. The neighborhood is safe and perfect for walking your dogs with breathtaking views of the mountain peaks. Downtown as well as the San Juan National Forest are only 10 minutes away. Some of our favorite times at the house were cooking pasta in the evenings, and then watching movies in front of the fire. The movie selection is fabulous...no need to rent. In summary, if you are ready for a comfy, cozy retreat that is close to many amenities, this is the place for you!!

My son and I visited this home with another family -- there was a total of 7 of us. We love this house. It is very tastefully decorated with just the right personal touches and it is immaculate. It is close to the hot springs but still snuggled away in the mountains so you really feel like you're getting treated to a luxurious mountain retreat. We were never bored during our stay. We went boating, fishing, to the hot springs, the nearby rec center with pool, shopping. But the best part was just sitting on the ample outdoor resting areas to watch the kids play or watch the sunset over the mountains. The pictures do not do justice to how magical this home is. I feel blessed to have been able to stay here and would definitely stay again.

It goes without saying that Pagosa Springs is a terrific spot for all levels of hiking and mountain climbing (and other outdoor activities.) The cleanliness, amenities, spaciousness and central location of "Pagosa in the Pines" was the icing on the cake during this year's annual adventure to Colorado.

This was our second time to Pagosa Springs and the first time to this home. We had a wonderful time once again in PS and the kids are already asking to go back again next year. The home is spacious, comfortable, clean and comes with all the amenities needed.It is very conveniently located and although it is in a "neighborhood" there is enough space around you to feel like you're in the middle of the woods. The assortment of CDs, DVDs, and games kept us all up into night! There are lots of outdoor activities to do in Pagosa Springs!

We had a memorable time in the days we spent here. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen, living, and bedroom areas are just the right balance of openness and privacy. The town of Pagosa Springs, and surrounding areas, are filled with entertainment and athletic opportunities for everyone. The Pagosa hot springs are an enjoyable and healthy way to spend an afternoon, evening - or the whole day - in any season. But there were times when we wanted to snuggle down in the comfort of this home. The large repertoire of free DVD entertainment on the large HDTV pleased all members of the family.

HI I JUST STAYED IN THIS WONDERFUL HOME FOR THE WEEK AFTER JULY 4, 2009 AND I FOUND IT TO BE SUPERB. IT WAS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MY FAMILY OF FOUR AND MY SISTER AND HER 2 KIDS. IT WAS IN A PERFECT LOCATION WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF MOUNTAINS, LAKES, AND THE GOLF COURSE IN THE BEAUTIFUL FAIRFIELD AREA. LOTS OF SPACE FOR KIDS TO PLAY INSIDE, A LITTLE BIT DANGEROUS OUTSIDE BUT OK WITH GOOD SUPERVISION. EVERYTHING INSIDE WAS 5 STAR ONLY DRAWBACK WAS NO TV BUT WHO NEEDS THAT ANYWAYS WHEN YOU ARE IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE, AND WHEN WE WANTED THERE WAS PLENTY OF MOVIES AND PLACES TO RENT MOVIES TO WATCH. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AS STATE OF THE ART ACCOMODATIONS. THANKS FOR A WONDEFUL PLACE TO STAY AND HOPE TO RETURN SOMEDAY.
