We had such a wonderful stay here and wish we didn't have to leave. Everything was perfect, the area was great and close to everything. Thank you both for being so helpful and opening up your home to us. We will definitely be back. This place made our trip perfect -- so cozy, warm, inviting and decorated perfectly.

I just recently visited NYC for the second time and had no doubt in my mind we would rent Kermit's unit again. Once again the unit was absolutely beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. We decided to bring our 3 1/2 month old daughter Gaia and we pleasantly surprised by the portable crib that was left for us to use during our stay. I was so grateful, one less thing to lug around! Hope to visit NYC again in June and stay on Stockholm St for the 3rd time. Please consider this unit when planning to visit NYC, it is very reasonable considering how much a so-so hotel with taxes and fees will cost you per night. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect! That's how I'll describe my stay. The studio was cute and cozy. The bed was comfortable, the shower was awesome and the studio contained everything I needed! The hosts were courteous, accessible and so very helpful. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a clean and convenient place to stay.

The apartment is very comfortable, clean and stylish. Just fifteen minutes from Manhattan and shops, supermarkets etc. nearby, the studio itself is quiet and relaxing. We felt very much at home. The owners a very friendly and helpful. We had a great time here and will recomend this apartment to family, friends and anyone visiting NY.

We recently spent five nights in this cute efficiency apartment on the edge of Brooklyn and Queens. We were in New York for the wedding of our son and needed a place to stay in the days leading up to that. The apartment is small but very nicely decorated and very clean. The little kitchen area worked well for us as we were able to keep some things in the fridge and eat there if we didn't feel like going out. The microwave is handy when you have leftovers. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of closet space. The bathroom was large and the shower worked well. The weather was very hot during our stay but the apartment was kept cool by the window AC. We used the subway several times and it was an easy walk from the apartment. We were also able to drive around the area to do things (Louis Armstrong's home), our son's neighborhood in Brooklyn and Roberta's for pizza (very good). The neighborhood is quiet and we felt comfortable staying there. I even walked to the local laundromat one day. We took our laptop and had no problem plugging into the wireless connection in the apartment. I woud recommend this property for a single person or couple. You can access Manhattan via the subway or if you have a car there was available free parking on the streets near the apartment. Best of all the rate makes a trip to New York reasonable

An stylish and comfortable apartment, perfect for two even with little children, with a subway stop five minutes away; from Dekalb stop we were in Manhattan in twenty minutes. You have a good supermarket very close, and a great place to have breakfast a little further: Barceys. The area is quiet and safe; we were back late night often. A place to repeat.

I stayed at the studio for a week. The space was well maintained, everything was so clean. The bed was so comfy, sheets nice, bathroom and kitchen modern. I was travelling for business, and I had my own devices; but the wireless internet access was a life-saver, too! Felt very safe The studio has everything that one needs and it's located close to a number of amenities as well as to the subway station (10 min walk). Thus I had a very pleasant stay even though I was unfamiliar with the area. Plus, the owners couldn't have been more helpful and went out of their way to make my stay a positive experience. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone who is visiting NYC!

Thank you so much, Kermit and Azadeh, for making our trip to New York the best! My friend and I, both in our 20s and on a budget, were so pleasantly surprised with this place- the pictures are great and it was even better in person! The studio was warm, cozy, and beautiful, and the owners only made it better with their kindness and suggestions about where to go and what to do. The studio was immaculate, the location good (only 5 blocks from the subway station) and the accomodities were more than perfect. The iPod player was really helpful for us, since we like to play music, but we were barely there (since we were exploring the city) so we didn't even take advantage of the dvd player, which was a nice touch as well. I am so lucky that we found this place- don't know what we would have done if we didn't! I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a classy, comfortable stay in the city, especially if you are traveling on a budget and can't afford Manhattan but want to be close enough to a subway station. Thank you again! If I get to come to New York in the future your studio will be the first place I have in mind to stay! :)

I encountered several discrepancies between what stated in the description of the studio and what I actually found: Air conditioning: non existent Internet access: I had to share a portable Mac with the owner TV: poor vision quality due to bad aerial signal Bathroom: far from being luxurious. No windows, not a single piece of furniture, no aerator Pots and pans: intended for a large group of people. Not suitable for quick use by the maximum of two persons the apartment can accommodate Languages spoken: the owner was supposed to speak 6 of them and not only English (now the thing has been rectified) The most disappointing aspect is that the studio (with two tiny windows) is placed in what used to be the cellar of the house. That MUST be clearly stated on the website.
Owner response:We've had a lovely experience with our guests to date. It's been our pleasure to meet consistently kind and thoughtful visitors from all over the world, and we've been grateful that everyone has been appreciative of having a clean and charming apartment in our safe, convenient, and diverse neighborhood. That said, we'd like to address the points brought up in the review to assuage any concerns and would like to assure you that we care deeply about our business and your comfort and well-being. We hope the rest of our reviews will attest to that! AC: Our AC is a window unit put in seasonally starting in June, unless there's an early heat wave. These guests were here during a very cool early May. Internet Access: We provide a completely private Apple computer for guests with high-speed access. We also provide wireless access for guests who prefer to use their own computer. TV: We provide basic cable service, about 12 channels, and the picture quality is perfect. We also provide DVD movies for our guests enjoyment, including a wonderful 10-DVD documentary about the history of NYC. Bathroom: All of our guests have been delighted with our bathroom, which is a brand new renovation with a large shower, Toto toilet, and classic pedestal sink. The bathroom is vented to the outside and there is a shelf that comfortably holds toiletries. When this particular guest requested that his wife needed a make-up table and chair in the bathroom, we accommodated them by bringing a beautiful antique side table and chair from our own home. Pots/Pans: The kitchen is equipped with all types and sizes. Languages Spoken: We speak English and Persian fluently, and have basic communication skills in French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Windows: The studio is a lovely garden-level apartment with windows facing a beautiful brick-lined historic block built in 1908. The garden itself is not part of the rental, though in summer months we'll often share some of our home-grown produce with guests, including tomatoes, eggplants, and yellow peppers.

Hi to all, My wife and I stayed at this lovely studio and it was beautiful. The owners were pleasant and heplful with any requests. The studio was spotless and well maintained throughtout. I highly recommend this location to anyone wishing to visit New York. It was located within walking distance to the subway transit but located in a quiet setting. The studio is nice and pleasant, well equipped and has a nice personal touch to it (which so many 'commercial' apartments lack). The bed is excellent (very important) and we would like to have the bathroom in our own house. The studio reflects the owners who redesigned it: charming, welcome and with eye for detail. The residential area in which it is located makes you realise there is more to New York than Manhattan. Dear Kermit and Azadeh, thank you for your warm welcome. It was a pleasure to stay in the studio and it felt like 'our house' in New York.

Our stay in Stockholm Street was wonderful. Close to the subway & bus and a 24 hour Dunkin' Donuts, it's a clean and comfortable space in a safe environment with friendly and easygoing tenants. This was our first trip to New York, and staying in the guest house made it very easy to view the city. We got great tips on what to see in Brooklyn, especially the flea market & Williamsburg, and if you're traveling from the Netherlands, bring some stroopwafels with you (cause we got Azadeh & Kermit hooked on them). We'll be staying here when we come back to New York, and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful, warm, and welcoming studio on Stockholm Street. Stay here and you'll enjoy not only the fantastic amenities of Manhattan, but you'll also be well situated to take advantage of all of the great things on offer in Brooklyn. Just a few blocks away from the famous NYC L subway train, you'll literally be minutes away from the arts and music scene of Williamsburg, the vibrant nightlife of Union Square and Greenwich Village, as well as all of the many other offerings of one of the greatest cities in the world! Enjoy your stay at this quiet and aesthetically pleasing studio with great hosts who are ready to welcome you their great city!

Adorable place and family! We stayed here for a little less than a week and it was perfect! The family was very sweet and helpful. They had a map with suggestions of places to check out and anything else we may have needed to know. The location was really nice, close to the subway and the street seemed very safe. When we came home late it wasn't scary or an issue at all. The room was very clean and maintained, they kept us very comfortable! If I ever need a place to stay in NY this will be on the top of my list! Loved it!

We can strongly recommend this nice and comfortable apartment!! It's exactly as advertised: newly renovated, clean, comfortable!! Not far from downtown - but far enough to find rest in a nice and quiet neighborhood. We felt very welcome by the friendly landlords and well supported in any question that could arise. When we had found the place and booked it, we felt lucky. Now, after we've been there, we can tell, that we've been very lucky beeing able to stay in that lovely home!!! Ilona and Nidi from Germany

Great studio in brooklyn close to L train My girlfriend and I stayed here for 5 days the week after Thanksgiving and loved this charming studio. I recommend it to anyone wanting to go sightseeing in Manhattan without having to pay for an expensive hotel. Upon arriving they had a bottle of wine, some chocolates and a map of the local area on the table. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The owners live in the same building and made sure we had plenty of blankets and heat during the winter nights. They also gave us some pointers on local coffee shops and points of interest. It's a 5 minute walk to the L train and a 15 minute ride into Manhattan without having to change trains. The neighborhood is safe, but with anywhere in the city you need to be cautious after 3am.

I was so blessed to stumble on this gem! It's a gorgeous and cozy studio and Kermit and Azadeh are a wonderful couple. I was so glad to get to rent from a family rather than give my money to a large hotel chain. I also loved being outside the city to get some decompressing time. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and having access to a computer with internet was great! I would highly recommend using this Studio if you plan on visiting New York City. I never felt unsafe.
