We stayed at Bella Vista the last week of June and enjoyed our stay. We echo the comments by previous visitors re: the adventurous road to get to/from the location and the fabulous view and deck to enjoy the lovely scenery. The cabin is clean and cozy with charming decor, and it was very nice to have a modern kitchen (and gas grill outside) to be able to do any manner of cooking. The mosquitos were out in full force when we were there (the owners supplied a can of OFF insect repellent), and you may want to "arm" yourself with any other insect repellent products to be able to fully enjoy the outdoor space, if you also visit during "mosquito season." The only thing lacking is any storage for clothing (that we could see), so just be prepared to live out of your suitcase or use the futon as a clothes rack if you'd like to fully unpack while there. We appreciated having a quiet retreat at the end of long days exploring the park among the crowds, and found the owners to be helpful and responsive to work with. We would recommend Bella Vista overall.

We had a blast the house was clean the area was beautiful no matter what direction you looked I could not believe the scenery we spotted a moose right behind the house it was a trip of a life time. We were there at the end of may and we got 10 inches of snow. We had 2 boys age 12 they are still talking about the trip. We plan on going back and we know where we will be staying. Thank you Pam and John

The cabin has been a great place to stay. Very quiet and a comfortable bed at the end of long days of hiking and exploring. I almost had a stroke the first day when our luxury sedan hit a pothole. We rented a 4x4 the next day and our problem was solved. David If you are a flatlander like us, don't let the road deter you. This is a beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean little cabin. It is exceptionally well equipped with a beautiful view of the valley and is quiet and peaceful. We did not see a bear near the cabin (which frankly is OK by me) but we did see a mule deer with her two mostly grown fawns. And when we left really early one morning to get to the Tetons to catch early light on the aspens, we saw something I have never seen outside of a book--a pair of pine martins busy at whatever it is that two little weasels do at 4:45 pm. This little cabin is so conveniently located for both Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton. Our wildlife viewing experiences have been a pure delight--bison and elk, wolves, at least on grizzly, to black bears and 7 moose. And otters in the Madison River, bighorn sheep at the Roosevelt gate area, Rocky Mt goats high up on Barenette Peak, some strange looking little ferret creature in the Tetons and a bald coyote who posed for pictures in Hayden Valley. Thank you Pam for sharing this wonderful little retreat. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a secluded get away and an oh so welcome change from generic mold stays. Carol, Arizona

What a great trip. The weather was spectacular all week almost hitting record highs. The scenery in the parks was beautiful and the animals were so cooperative while we took hundreds of pictures and videos. The cabin is so cute and "homey" It was wonderful to sit on the deck with a glass of wine at the end of the day or look at the beautiful scenery both in front and behind the cabin. The best meals we had all week were here! Thanks, Pam, for helping us get up the road the first night after missing our turn and going way further up than we needed. I definitely recommend the lower road. South Carolina

Thank you for sharing your cabin. Your cabin is very quiet, clean and cozy. We had a wonderful time here at the cabin and in Yellowstone. We hope to be back soon. Three nights was just not enough time to see everything.

Pam and John, This is charming cabin in the trees. Very cozy, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The cabin is a tribute to you and your caretakers. had good fishing on the Madison and superb fly fishing on Hebgen-large brown and rainbow trout were caught there. We saw wild life outside-marmot and white tailed deer and two fawns. Of course we visited Yellowstone which is always a delight. West Yellowstone is lovely to visit and Bob Jacklins fly shop is a must for any fly fisher, a wealth of information and Bob is a great guy prepared to share his area knowledge and fishing experience. We also enjoyed barbecues on the patio after a day of fishing and exploring. We also enjoyed star-gazing on the deck. Thanks to you both for a wonderful stay. UK
