A well designed summer cottage on the shores of Lake Michigan
Three bedroom cottage, large newly constructed two story barn, and large shed. The cottage is just on top of the dunes among beech, oak and pine trees. Walk off of the front deck over the small dune and onto the shores of beautiful Cathead Bay. A walk to the south brings you to Leelanau State Park, with great dunes for hiking and perfect sand beaches. A short walk to the north is a nature preserve and the Grand Traverse Lighthouse.
The deck has beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Fox Islands. The sount end of the deck has a wood-burning hot tub. The properties along the lake are surrounded by forest, state parks and conservancy land---perfect for quiet days reading, long hikes, bike riding and star gazing. Sunrises and sunsets are wonderfully colorful.
Sleeps 8 comfortably: 3 bedrooms (two bedrooms have a queen bed, one room has 2 sets of bunk beds---all with high quality mattresses). The couch in the main room is also hide-a-bed. New laundry and kitchen appliances.
A large, newly constructed barn is includes a ping-pong table and dart board on the second floor. Inside the barn you will also find at least two bikes and a bike trailer. The shed currently houses a kayak, a sailboard, the grill, a badminton set, and life jackets in every size.

Weekly rental from Saturday to Saturday. Check in is 3 p.m. on the first Saturday, and check out is 10 a.m. on the last Saturday.

The Unique Benefits of this House
"The best part of this cottage is the feeling of being secluded. We've spent whole days here and only seen one or two other people. A perfect day begins with a cup of coffee at the kitchen table, watching the birds in the bay with a backdrop of the sunrise washing over the spit of land that creates the bay. Maybe kayaking around to Cathead Point, taking the catamaran out, a hike to the top of the dunes or along the beach. A good finish to the day is to stoke the hot tub to relax before grilling dinner."
