Dennis, We had such a wonderful week at your cottage. The weather was just perfect! The nightly campfire and use of the lake was the kids favorite. It was a relaxing getaway for the whole family. We will all bring a little piece of Silver Lake home with us!

We had such a wonderful time this week- your cottage was perfect! Between just relaxing by and in the water and checking out all that Traverse City and the Leelanau peninsula has to offer, we had a perfect week! It's going to be tough to go back to real life! Thanks again-

We had a wonderful week! The kids enjoyed the kayaks, paddleboat and canoe. We had a few nice campfires and the weather was great all week. We visited some local beaches, lakes and the sleeping bear dunes. Very relaxing and enjoyable week for all.

Dennis- Thanks for a great getaway. My wife, three boys and I had a blast!! The weather was perfect. We enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddleboat. We also rented a boat from one of the suggested marinas. The cottage was perfect!!

We had a lovely time at your cottage. The water was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The six children we had here confessed this as their "best vacation ever." The situation was suitable to our numbers and provided us with plenty of fun without having to look around for it. Thank you for a great time.

Dennis- Thank you for renting your cottage to us- I confess we didn't take advantage of the beach and water activities. We were going away too much. Our family with small children couldn't come-they would have enjoyed themselves. We love the wildlife, the birds and loons and sunrises. Hope we can return some day. Sleeping was a pleasure with such cleaar cool air and on a great mattress.

8/19/06 Thank you Dennis and family for sharing your cottage. Our group ranged in age from 4 to 80 and we all have a great time. We experienced wonderful weather and were able to spend ample time both on the beach and in town. Thank you also for the use of the two boats and swim raft. We took advantage of them all. We also took great pictures of our vacation including the swans, duck and loons. Should you ever want wonderful pictures of the cottage give us a call.

8/04-06 Dennis, What a great place for a family with little kids. The boys swam and swam and played in the sand and took long canoe rides with their dad. We enjoyed all the wildlife we saw, too- beaver, blue heron, muskrat, wild turkey,etc. Hope to be back!

7/29/06 We had a great week at your cottage and lucked out with the weather. Silver Lake is a wonderful lake to do all water sports as well as fish. Your neighbor across the street stopped over and gave us some wonderful strawberry and peach jam.

7/15/06 Thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage. We all enjoyed our relaxing week of sitting in the sand, playing in the sand and laughing around the campfire. All five kids, under five years of age, thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

7/8/06 Had a fabulous time doing almost nothing! made many fires and saw many beautiful sunsets. Our one year old loved sitting in the sand and our three year old loved sparklers and fishing. We love forward to coming again someday. Thank you.

7/01/06 We had a great time and seemed to dodge most of the forecasted rain. Fishing off the dock and canoe trips around the island were part of our daily routine. We even enjoyed several overheard appearances by the Blue Angels as they prepared for the Cherry Festival Air Show. The cottage was comfortable with great views of the lake. Thanks.

8/13/05 A wonderful week, simply too short. Loved the clear water, beach and dock. Cottage is charming. Very child-friendly too. Amical was a great restaurant recommendation as was Poppycock's. We hope to return next year. We've had a great vacation here.

We had a great time as always in this beautiful part of the world. The cottage was so wonderful, as was the beautiful lake. The teenagers had a great time waterskiing and tubing. Two girlfriends got up for the first time. If teenagers have a good time- you know it is good! Thanks.

Dear Dennis- We had a great week! My brothers and I loved the beach and the canoe. The paddleboat was fun too! We went to the Sleeping Bear Dunes with my grandparents. That was fun. My dad's favorite part of the trip was sitting on the dock looking at the lake. My mom's favorite part of the trip was watching us catch all the fish. Oh yeah catching fish was fun too. My brother caught five. My other brother caught three and I caught five too. We had so much fun. And we had so much to do. Thanks a lot.

Dear Dennis and Shelly- Thank you so much for sharing your "little slice of heaven". You have such a beautiful cottage on a gorgeous lake. We watched the sunrise and sunsets complete with incredible moonlit nights. We'll take home a lot of memories and a lot of "first times". The first time Michael and Sarah caught a fish. The first time Sarah went tubing by herself. A week of tubing, skiing, fishing canoeing, paddleboating, campfires and smores, the blue angels, and late night euchre are just what the doctor ordered. We'll tell all our friends about our little slice of heaven. Thank you for everything. Words alone can't describe what a great time we had. We hope to see you again next year.

Dear Dennis and Shelly- Thank you for making this place so warm and inviting, but most of all for your ordering the most fantastic weather possible! Our children couldn't believe we found such an inviting yet comfortable home to enjoy by the lake. The sunrise and sunsets with campfire an all was the biggest hit. The babies loved the fishing and the paddleboat go worn out! We love this place and will be back.
