This is a 5 Bedroom Home with a 180 degree view of the Atlantic Ocean to the South.
The house is spacious and elegant with five bedrooms. Each has a double/queen bed. The two bedrooms downstairs each have full private bathrooms. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms-two with views of the ocean. There is a sitting area and full bathroom as well.
On the main (first) floor there is a balcony/porch that wraps around the front and sides of the house. From this balcony, you have a greater than 180 degree view of the ocean, with the Ilheus das Cabras to your left and Monte Brasil to your right. There is also a patio outside the kitchen, with tables and chairs for entertaining.
Just a short walk down the road will bring you to natural swimming pools. Since the island is volcanic, there are very few sandy beaches. Instead there are designated areas where people can swim in mini rock pools. The swimming area at the bottom of the street is a local swimming spot, but there are many others that are worth a visit.
The house is optimally situated in Serretinha, right outside the main city of Angra. It's only a 5-10 minute drive to the port and the downtown areas. Angra do Heroismo has been designated by UNESCO as an historical town. Almost every other part of the island can be accessed in under 30 minutes. Praia da Vitoria is a 25 minute drive.

I was born and raised on the island of Terceira. I moved to the United States when I was 15 years old. I am an attorney and live in New Jersey. I also have three children.
I have seen many beautiful places in the world, but I always find the Azores to be the most enchanting. For that reason, I decided to build a house in my place of birth. You will find my home to be your "home" . It is charming and comfortable. As my friends who stay there often say "Your home has good karma".

The Unique Benefits of this House
My house has a very traditional Portuguese feel, but also combines more modern elements in terms of decor and functionality. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools you need to create a great meal. All the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.
My house is also perfectly situated--it's on a steep hillside with amazing views. But it's also close enough to Angra. Also, having the "beach" (natural rock pool) at the bottom of the street is also nice if you want a quick swim.

We returned to the island after 38 years. A family trip of 7 for our father's 75 birthday. Nothing less than AMAZING..The Island has changed a bit, but our childhood home near the Airforce base at Lodjes was still there...what great memories... Anamaria, you are just wonderful! Everything was perfect, we were met at the airport, helped with our luggage, and when we arrived at your home everyone was just speachless! We could not have stayed anywhere better...spacious...everyone had plenty of personal space...and lots of room to sit and mengle together. The view of the ocean and "Sheep Island" is like looking at a post card...Thanks for making everything so perfect and easy...Our father said it was the "best trip of his life"..Serving in the U.S. Airforce for 22 years, he has been to and seen a lot of places, so his comment means alot. My brothers and sister are already talking about a future trip to Terceira with our children so they can enjoy the same wonderful experiences. We could not have picked a better time to visit as the Sanjoaninas festival was going on. What a way to get emersed into the Azorean culture...bull fights...parades...food...and people. Thankyou...Thankyou...Anamaria for the trip of a lifetime...your simply the best and we are looking forward to our next visit. Bill, Van, Tammy, Scott, Kim, Cindy, Korey....

My husband and two kids just returned from Terceira where we stayed in this beautifull home. The location was perfect. Close to the sea which we all loved and close enough to the nearby towns. I hadn't been to Terceira in 30 years so it was wonderfull to see my small island but also to stay in such a comfortable and enviting place. If you choose to rent this house you will not be disappointed the pictures don't do enough justice. Thank you so much to Anamaria and her cousin who helped us during our stay!

We rented the property for 10 days in July 2010 with family and had the most wonderful time. The house is everything and more. I would recommend it to anyone. The people are helpfull, the fish at the little restaurant we ate almost daily was wonderful, the weather was absolutely gorgeous and the view, well spectacular. As far as renting a car, take a taxi it's cheaper and you can drive into Angra for 8 Euros one way. Wonderful city by the way, we will miss it. Thank You again Anamaria

We went for two weeks in April 2010 and had a perfect visit, despite the rain. I asked everyone (all six of us) what they liked best about your house: D says location - between Monte Brasil and the islands to the east L says the wrap-around patios. M says the beautiful, comfortable bedrooms. J says the many, many windows. R says the new villa being built - looks great and sits on the land beautifully. I say all of the above plus the big table we've spent so much time being a family around. Thank you so much for this lovely refuge and perfect family vacation spot.

This home is absolutely fabulous! We stayed for 13 days in August of 2009 and we couldn't have picked a more relaxing and beautiful place to spend our Terceira vacation. The home is spacious, well-laid- out, close to Angra, and ideal for entertaining guests. We will try to stay there every time we return to the island. What a view!!!

My family of five adults, a teenager, and a baby stayed at this rental property for about a week in May 2009. It was a wonderful experience. It's the best vacation experience I have had and I have had my share of good ones. I would love to visit again. The house itself is very nice, the owner, Anamaria, is extremely accomodating and the view is stunning. The island of Terceira is unlike any place I have ever been. It is peaceful, beautiful, and has a pleasant climate. There are many things to see and do. You can catch a flight from Boston on SATA Airlines for under $500. I would give a very high recommendation of this property to my friends. If you go, you will not be disappointed. Fica Bem!
