Elevated among sprawling oak trees, the wrap-around porches link together two separate bedrooms completely isolated from the main house. Every room shares a magnificent view of either the Intra-coastal Waterway or the expansive salt marsh of "Gray Bay." The center of activity is the dock house where there is a bar with ceiling fans, an outdoor shower, an open sun deck and two large floating docks located across the Intra-coastal Waterway from the Wild Dunes Harbor Golf Course. Whether you are into fishing, golfing, boating or just need to escape from reality and relax in a hammock on an island for a week or two, this vacation rental is the answer.

The description given of the house does not do it justice. It's an absolutely beautiful house and location on the water. It's very easy to get to the IOP marina, as well as the beach and to the harbor. We had a fabulous time the entire weekend. We arrived on a Thursday so that we could take full advantage of the house for the weekend, and really enjoyed it. It was very clean when we arrived, and there was plenty of room for all of our 14 family members. The guest house is a great place to stay, and is a quiet getaway from the main house. We had to contact the owner in regards to questions about the water, and they were very prompt in response and offering us suggestions. We would definitely recommend spending a day on the dock crabbing and fishing! It's a few minutes to the Morgan Creek Grill and the marina, and a 20 minute ride to Dewee's Island, which is a great beach to take people to. If you have the time and desire, Red's Icehouse at Shem Creek is a favorite. The only downfall of the entire weekend was that there was not a lot of water pressure in the showers, and there is no freshwater for cooking and drinking. This house is a definite on our list for our annual trip to Charleston!
