Large, private three story farmhouse style home lovingly maintained by same family for over 100 years. Enjoy sweeping views of one of the most photographed bays on scenic Lake George from wrap around second floor porch rocking chairs and hammock. Children will enjoy picnics by the water, swimming to the raft from your private dock, building sand castles at the small private sandy beach, and safe swimming in the five mile an hour "No wake zone" bay. They can also walk to day camp at the nearby Silver Bay YMCA for archery, swimming, tennis or sailing instruction or play shuffleboard, make new friends or access WiFi while Mom and Dad enjoy some quiet time. Bring your own boat or rent one nearby.
First floor of home has open kitchen and large indoor and screened outdoor dining tables to accommodate family meals in any kind of weather. Laundry room, screened sitting area and 1/2 bath are also on the first floor. Second floor features huge great room with wood floors and large stone fireplace, and master suite, with king size bed and bathroom. 2nd floor wraparound porch offers fabulous view of the bay, and a wonderful spot for reading, cocktails, or visiting with friends. Third floor contains three bedrooms including a king bed, a dormitory style room with three single beds, a small dormer room with a single bed, and a bathroom.
Nearby attractions include historic Ft. Ticonderoga, quaint Middlebury, VT, the elegant Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, Great Escape theme park,outlet shopping in Lake George Village and many Adirondack hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts. Montreal is approximately 2 hours north. Lake Placid Olympic Village, and Saratoga Performing Arts Center and racetrack each approximately one hour drive. The Adirondack Museum on Blue Mountain Lake or the Shelburne Museum also make nice day trips.
Please note, we rent by the week, no daily or "weekend only" rentals. We also do not rent out for weddings or large parties. Requests for exceptions will not be responded to. Check in time is Saturday at 3 PM, check out time Saturday at 11:00 AM to allow for housekeeping and turnover inspection. Weekly rates are discounted for two week or longer stays.
