Very well-furnished -- like a home rather than a rental. Quality appliances, furniture, beds, glassware, dishes, silverware, linens, etc. Exposed wood beams, wood floor and detail work throughout include Cherry, Maple, Walnut, Ash, Oak, and Pine.
Year Round, enjoy the many cultural and dining attractions in the area, including the great outdoors with a large wrap-around patio, views of the mountains and very large pond, +30 acres of privacy. Local attractions include many restaurants, the performing arts, a movie theater, shopping, antiquing, and artisan shops, all within a 10-minute drive. In the summer, the farmers' market on the Waitsfield Common should not be missed.
In Spring, Summer, and Fall, the stone patios, lawn, and deck that surround the home provide great places to relax, barbeque, and enjoy the gardens, woods, and pond.
The pond is very large and great for swimming, kayaking, and for kids to spend endless hours catching frogs, salamanders, fireflies, and other creatures. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water!
The fire pit, large stone tables, and peeled-log benches around the property and pond provide many places to escape, relax, and enjoy some down time.
You can walk out the door and hike in the surrounding woods, whether on the 32 acre property or in the hundreds of surrounding acres of undeveloped land.
Minutes away by car are any number of hiking or biking trails, swimming holes, waterfalls, lakes, etc.
In Winter, you can relax in the warmth of the radiant-heated floors and fireplace or venture outdoors to cross-country ski, snow-shoe, and sled right on the property. For downhill skiers or snowboarders, the two Sugarbush Mountains are 7 miles away and Mad River Glen is about 8 miles away.
For a change of pace, you can also ski at Stowe, 40 minutes away. Cross-country skiing is also available at nearby Ole's or Blueberry Lake.
