Accommodations:  House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 8)

This is a three bedroom, two bath house on Hickory Pond in Seminole County, Georgia. It is connected to numerous other lakes (called ponds in this part of the county) and Lake Seminole, a total of 37,000 acres of water and waterways. Early spring and fall are great times for canoeing and exploring the waterways and ponds.

Lake Seminole is noted for its fishing and, in season, duck hunting. Wingate's (founded by Jack Wingate) in about a 25 minute boat ride through canals and across the Flint River. The state park is about 10 minutes by motor boat. There are two public boat ramps within a mile radius.

The house has a master bedroom with two double beds and it's own bathroom (tub with shower curtain) and a walk-in closet off the bath. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and a large closet with a bath across the hall.

The third bedroom has one double bed and an ample closet. Bath is out the door in the hall and immediately on same side of hall. The main area of the house is a great room with living area (two sofas, a recliner, two sofa chairs with footrests; Kitchen with a breakfast bar, fridge, stove, microwave, double sink, and a dishwasher.

Dining area has a table with seating for eight. There is a sun room overlooking the large deck and the water. We have a two-man canoe that guests may use to explore the lakes and waterways.

  • Our week's vacation was very much enjoyed by our party of five. House is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. We spent most of the time on the sun porch facing the lake, enjoying the view & playing cards......since the fish were not cooperating this week. Quiet neighborhood in a beautiful nature settng. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone...can't get better accommodations for this price. We hope to visit again.

  • My wife and I spent 3 days here in the later part of March 2009.The home and location was everything we expected. Nice home and furnishing, everything to make you feel at home and cozy. We only had one problem, mother nature was not nice to us!! It rained everyday we were there,all day long. It cleared up on Sunday, and was a beautiful day, but we had planned to leave on Sunday to return to our jobs on Monday.The owner was very hospitible, he even offer us to stay through Sunday because the weather was so awful.It was all good though, we did do what we had planned and that was to rest,relax,and spend some quality time together. Was well worth the money we spent! Thank you Mr. White!
