Elegant, huge Harlem, NYC mansion for rent. Every conceivable amenity available including HD flat screen TVs, elevator, garden (with dining and lounging furniture, gas grill and beverage refrigerator), gorgeous rooms, full designer kitchen access (GE Monogram appliances, farmhouse sink, quartz counters, copper ceilings), museum-quality furniture and artwork, fully air-conditioned and heated. Each of 4 bedrooms has its own elegant private bath with sink, toilet and shower and/or soaking tub. Billiards room, media room with huge flat screen and full laundry room.

The home is a landmarked brownstone built in the late 1880's and gut-renovated to Architectural Digest standards in 2006-07. It is located in the landmarked Mt. Morris Park section of trendy Harlem, at the corner of Mount Morris Park West (a/k/a 5th Avenue) and West 123rd Street. Convenient to the 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 trains, 5th Avenue bus lines and easy ability to hail a cab anytime of the day or night. Safe, free on-street parking. The neighborhood is very safe and very pleasant and boasts numerous beautiful brownstones, churches and parks. Renters have access to the entire home (5 floors including exclusive use of elevator, LR, DR, kitchen, billiards, media and laundry rooms, garden, 5 bedrooms, 5 full and 2 half-baths, sleeping up to 12 guests). Rentals are for the entire home and are for a minimum of 3 nights at $600 per night.

  • This was my first time utilizing a vacation rental but it was amazing. PROS: The neighborhood: quiet and safe. Two blocks away is the hustle and bustle of Harlem but as soon as you turn on this street, it was quiet. Very convenient walking distance to many restaurants, the subway, a hospital and park. The apartment: absolutely gorgeous. Everything we needed was provided. The beds were very comfortable. I loved the art and lived-in feeling of the apartment versus a hotel. The linens were clean and fresh. We had 8 adult women but there was so much space, there was room for everybody. The owners: Joyce was very helpful. The instructions were very helpful. The only thing we didn't know about was the recycling was required. My mom is on oxygen and uses a cane, sometimes a wheelchair and was very comfortable the entire trip. One of the ladies left a special memento and Joyce mailed it to her. We rented a wheelchair but the pharmacy was closed when we tried to return it. Joyce returned it for me. Paul provided detailed directions for us to relay to the taxi driver. You can't ask for nicer owners. CONS: The only issue was the apartment's WIFI wouldn't work for my sister or I. However, Harlem has a free WIFI that we were able to connect to so it wasn't that big of a deal. All in all it was an excellent experience!

  • Great home away from home rental. Our entire party of eight women were very impressed with the luxury and comfort of this rental. I would strongly recommend this property versus a hotel stay. It offered all the daily amenities of a home environment, is conveniently located to numerous restaurants and shopping areas as well as easy access to public transportation. Try it, you'll love your stay!

  • I would highly recomended this property to anyone who is looking for a luxury apartment to rent while in NYC. Everything is top of the line. You can not find a hotel with all the anemities for this price. It was a wonderful place to stay and I really enjoyed it.

  • We stayed here for a girls weekend getaway Memorial Day weekend. This place is fabulous and so close to everything!!!!!! You can walk to 125th street to experience Harlem or walk to the subway to get to any other NYC attraction. Plenty of restaurants also within walking distance. The brownstone easily accommodated our party of 8 and we had plenty of room to spread out.
