  My Daughter & I came to visit my Marine son who's in the Silent Drill Platoon. Easy walk to the Marine Barracks (8th & I) or one quick stop on the Metro. The apt. was perfect! So easy to get to metro and very a safe, charming neighborhood. The bed is super comfy and my son stayed one night, so we used the inflatable mattress and that was great. We went to the store to get food for the fridge which helped on saving $. The TV and Jacuzzi worked beautifully. Thank goodness for the washer/dryer, that way we packed light. Boaz was so accomindating to all of our needs. Quick replies and made sure everything was ok. Adjusted the air conditioner quickly that first night. It was so quiet being across the street from the park. I sat outside every morning and people/doggie watched and read a book. The Marine Sunset Parade was amazing! (Tues. evenings June-Aug.) We would definately use this studio again!! I recommend renting bikes for a few hours to tour the city, we had the best time!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Location is excellent for sight seeing, and owner was easy to access. The soiled/stained carpeting needs to be replaced, or rigorously cleeaned. Other disppointments were the comfort of the bed (memory foam reflects body heat and doesn't breathe) and the quality of the sheets ("nubby" and yellowed from wear/age ) While the place itself is clean and modern, these elements need to be addressed.

  We rented the studio for 8 nights. Positives: comfy bed, big bathroom (never found the switches for the whirlpool tub), quiet & safe feeling neighborhood, two blocks to Metro, easy walk to Eastern Market, lots of good restaurants, capitol & mall, well-lit basement studio. Next to Folger Park - pleasant walk & playground for kids. Not-so-great: if the upstairs is occupied you can hear every footstep (my guess is that there is no carpet). We read a review that mentioned this, but owner assured us it's not a problem (?). Thermostat for air conditioning & heater are NOT in studio. Owner has to come to adjust. There is a fan & space heater. Adequate for October. Bring mosquito repellent; no screen on doors. Owner responsive to requests, but you have to be patient. Don't plan to cook meals here. There are dishes/flatware, but you have to wash them in the bathroom sink & no dish soap or dish towels provided. Bfst. works if you want cereal/fruit/coffee. If you just need a place to stay two blocks from the capitol buildings this is perfect for you.

  My 8 year old daughter and I stayed in this Capitol Hill studio in October and had a wonderful week-long stay. We parked our car in front of the unit when we arrived and did not need to drive again the entire week. This is a superb location, very close to everything on the Mall, 2 blocks to the Metro and close to great restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet, the neighbors friendly and we felt very safe - even walking home in the evening. The studio is small but very comfortable. We will definately rent this space the next time we visit DC. Boaz was wonderfully helpful and had excellent recommendations regarding local sites.

  A beautifully decorated apartment in a great Capital Hill neighborhood. We were there for only three nights, but it was truly a home away from home

  What an absolute perfect location to "live" in while visiting D.C. It was my first trip there, and my husband and I couldn't have chosen a better place. The neighborhood is gorgeous! Boaz was so helpful before our arrival and throughout our stay. He made sure we had the parking permit for our rental car that first afternoon. It was incredibly easy to find a spot on "our" street. We barely used the car once we arrived, only to drive out to the suburbs for a wedding, and to visit Arlington National Cemetery the morning of our departure. Other than that we walked, walked, walked! The studio is very nicely furnished. Clean, comfortable, charming, and cozy. It is definitely small, but perfect for 2 people. The bathroom is much nicer than many hotels we've stayed in before. Our one frustration was the wireless access; we weren't able to use our laptop at times. Evidently the connection simply needed rebooting, but it was upstairs in the house which sometimes made it impossible for a quick fix. Boaz answered our calls promptly and tried to do everything he could to remedy the situation. Also, we could hear conversations and loud footsteps coming from upstairs, which was simply a reminder that we were staying in a basement studio. The price and location can't be beat! I highly recommend staying here... hopefully we will be able to visit D.C. again in the future, and my first call will be to Boaz. We would plan our trip around the availability of his properties.

  Great location, very safe, and only 2 short blocks from the Capitol. I walked to the mall every day and for places a bit further away the metro (Capitol south) is only 1 block away. The room is lovely I stayed 12 days and would gladly stay there again.

  this was a great place for me to stay while working on the hill, it was quiet, clean, relaxing, and convenient. i had a few questions when i arrived and although it was already late at night, my emails were answered right away. i really appreciated that. i would stay there again, without hesitation. thanks!

  My wife and I stayed in this studio for four nights in early Oct. The location is fantastic. As advertised, the Metro is 2 blocks away, as is the Library of Congress, and the Capital is 3 blocks away. There is a park across the street and a small grocery store is 2 blocks away. The bed is very comfortable and the studio is very clean. It is small but that's all we needed. There is no stove but there is an under counter refrigerator and a microwave. The studio is the lower level of a historic house and that means that you can hear people talking in the upstairs apartment. That's the only minor negative and it wasn't much. Everyone visiting DC is usually wiped out at the end of the day and in bed by 10:00 p.m. We had a great stay and would definitely stay there again.

  Thanks for a great week in DC. The location was amazing. Local quick shop, METRO two blocks away, terrific restaurants, friendly neighbors, safe neighborhood, and virtually next door to the Library of Congress and the Capital. Great linen and TV. Immaculate and perfect or the two of us.
