Very nicely appointed lake house with cozy fireplace. Three levels allowed our family to have plenty of room. With the pool table downstairs, several deck levels, and even a canoe to paddle the lake with the kids stayed entertained. Especially nice is the Master BR with sitting room, direct access to deck and a beautiful en suite with whirlpool tub and glass shower. Other 2 BRs are spacious and comfortable. We had local family over for Christmas Eve and they were duly impressed as well. Family room and large dining table afforded us lots of room. Natural area with wildlife galore (e.g., saw a woodpecker family up close from the upstairs deck) and beautiful lake views. Our 2 dogs loved being allowed to come along this time too. Didn't catch any fish but certainly caught plenty of fun! We've stayed in several VRBO homes and this is the one we'll most likely return to time and again. Highly recommend!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family of young adult children and grandchildren met here for a long, late summer weekend. The house is wonderful- well-designed and beautifully decorated. The location is beautiful, in the foothills with beautiful mountain views and a great lakefront. We enjoyed the canoe, fishing, and the pool and tennis courts at the nice community center just a short walk away. The kitchen is lovely and well-equipped with a great dining space for large group meals. We enjoyed side trips for hiking at nearby state parks and golf at a wonderful course nearby. There is a small market a mile away, but real grocery shopping is quite a distance away. We took most all of our groceries from home. The owner was congenial and very easy to work with.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This home was perfect for my family. We had 5 adults and two children and were incredibly comfortable. Loved the large dining room table and the kitchen had everything we needed. The screened in porch was perfect for breakfasts and enjoying the incredible thunderstorms. The beds were very comfortable and all three rooms were spacious. The posting said the upstairs bedroom has a pullout couch, which we didn't find, but luckily we didn't need it. The pool table downstairs is not level and there were no working pool sticks so we couldn't enjoy a game of pool. The kayak's rudder was broken but it is still usable and very fun. We enjoyed the canoe as well. My husband had to do some maintenance on the canoe to make it safe for kids as there was some missing wood and screws were sticking out, but it works great. The lake was warm and provided hours of entertainment. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and people we saw were friendly.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Our family stayed here for a week in late June this year. The owner was very easy to work with and always friendly. The area of Keowee lake was absolutely beautiful. The house is situated on the northern part of the lake, which was great because there was less boat traffic than further south. We rented boats several of the days and took the kids tubing and water skiing - they also spent alot of time swimming. The water was great. The house was very much like the description - right on the water, nicely kept and furnished. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 (with teenagers). It was a great getaway vacation. Do larger grocery shopping before you get there, but there is a nice grocery with alot of items about 10 minutes from the house (which just recently opened). We would definately go back again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This was our family & friends second trip to Lake Keowee. The north end of the lake and more specifically this location is our preferred spot to stay. The home is tucked back in a quite cove that protects the swimming as well as the docking of our boat. The view of the mountain-scapes just outside of the cove to the north is unbelievable. We spent a lot of time skiing and tubing with the kids and if you have the nerve, there are two beautiful spots to try jumping from cliffs into the lake. If you bring a boat, the preferred ramp is down the lake at Falls Creek Landing. It is busy on weekends but easy to launch from. Keowee Falls gets taken over during the weekends so if you are there with a boat try to hit this spot during the week days. It is worth the look but not worth the headache of trying to anchor or beach a boat in a limited space with several other folks that are usually pretty well "sauced". Also on the boating side of discussion, there are Wild Life Officer's that patrol the lake. Make sure you have all the required boating safety gear on board. If they stop you, they will check everything. The adults took over the screened in porch for our morning coffee and reading. The dining table and kitchen served us well when friends that live on the south end of the lake came up for dinner and we needed space for 10. The bedrooms are all laid out very well and provide what you need for a comfortable vacation. Bring all your supplies with you, there are limited places to go grocery shopping as we learned during our first trip to the lake last year. It is a beautiful place and we hope to return for future vacations.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I and our 2 dogs had a lot of fun at the house and in the lake. We walked to the clubhouse and the dogs had easy access to the lake using the boat launch area. We arrived late....the nearest large grocery store is 16-20 miles away, so anyone should stock up before arriving. We rented a pontoon boat from Stephanie (her info is provided at the house) and loved cruising the lake with it. Try the boiled cajun peanuts!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

As a new retiree and Clemson Alum, we wanted to escape to Clemson and mountain area for Clemson activites, mountain exploring and just plain relaxation. We accomplished all three by staying in this bueatiful house strategically located equal distance from Clemson and Cashiers.. The house offerred everything we needed and was spacious for our needs. A little fishing off the dock( actually caught a few), walking throughout the neighborhood and sitting on the deck with a good book added to our enjoyment of the home comforts. We would recommend this listing to anyone wanting to get away on bueatiful Lake Keowee.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

Would highly recommend this house, community and location. House is layed out very nice with spacious rooms, beautiful kitchen, nice screen porch and outdoor fire pit. We used the canoe, fished off the dock, swam in the pool, used the hot tub, played tennis and basketball all within the community. We did Zip lining (30 minutes away), go karts, batting cages and putt putt (20 minutes away). It is about 15 minutes away from the Reserves so for us it was prefect.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family spent 3 lovely days at this beautiful lake house. We were in town for our son's graduation from Clemson. The house was a perfect alternative to staying in multiple rooms in a hotel. We enjoyed being able to cookout at the house and also having plenty of room to spread out and relax. We used the canoe to explore the lake. The house is about 35 minutes from the University. The house is well equipped with anything you may need. I would highly recommend staying here for next year's graduation!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife, two children, and I enjoyed our three nights at yur home. The community center and pool, not yet open for season. We rented a boat and enjoyed Keowee. Gets a bit pricey for April. However, we did enjoy it, and left home as we would like someone to leave ours.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Fairly secluded home on Lake Keowee. Area is very pretty and extremely quiet. Only a few homes in the neighborhood by the lake. I rented the place so we could attend a Clemson football game. Roughly a 30 minute drive to Clemson. We really enjoyed the home and would return for another football weekend.Recommended for: Pet owners

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay. Home was as advertised, nice and clean, good interior design, and worked perfectly for our family of 5. Enjoyed fishing off dock, cooking out on deck, and playing games on screened in porch. Brought my boat and launched from neighborhood ramp. North part of lake is beautiful, and home is minutes away by water from a marina and nice waterfall. Also very close to Jocassee and Toxaway if interested. Neighborhood was very quite and just an all around great place to spend a week. Highly recommended and expect we will be back next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this house over graduation weekend. This house is beautiful, very roomy, cozy and welcoming. We hosted 25+ people there for a cookout dinner party on Saturday - there was plenty of room for everyone not to mention a gorgeous view from the deck and screened in porch. We were able to sleep 8 adults and 2 children comfortably. The kayak was so fun for the kids and we rented a boat from Keowee marina (south end of Lake Keowee - house is about 45 minutes by car and by pontoon boat) on Friday, which we docked easily at the deck. The lake is such a wonderful, beautiful amenity that everyone can enjoy not to mention the pool and tennis courts. We also brought our dogs. The whole place is hardwood floors, so if there is an accident, it's easy to clean up. You can roll up the rugs to make sure those are not subject to an accident. This is a great place to have a vacation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This lake house was just wonderful for our young family: safe and friendly in a small gated neighborhood that was very secluded. Our children ( 2, 7 and 9) had a blast. We spent almost all our time in the water in the private cove that hosted a dock surrounded by beautiful water. We took the canoe and kayak out daily. The cove opened up into a large part of the lake that was easy to navigate and explore the nostalgic landscape. Our kids felt comfortable swimming off the dock and jumping off the "funstation" float that we blew up. Whenever we needed a break from the water, the lake house offered everything we needed to unwind; tv's, couches, movies, and all the comforts of home. We cooked on the grill each night and never looked at the clock. The kids enjoyed fishing and exploring for turtles and small wildlife. We saw some deer in the neighborhood very close to the house. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet that the lake house offered. We sat on the deck each night and took in the atmosphere. The lake offered healthy fun and let us enjoy each other's company.. Bringing food was a big plus but when we needed some items, the store was not too far away to get whatever was needed. We took advantage of the community pool and hot tub as well. We had our young dog with us and he experienced his first "doggie paddles" from the community boat ramp. If you want to get away from the world and reboot, this is the experience for you; comfortable, safe and fun. We loved every minute of it. We will be back. The owner is great to work with too: returned phone calls and emails, answered all questions and very helpful and friendly.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed the turtles who came to visit too. Having a pool nearby was a plus! Would defintely rent this place again as it is on the most scenic end of Lake Keowee!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

Our family had a wonderful time at the lake house! Even our dog! We loved going out on our boat and swimming in the lake. My son caught his first fish off the dock. The house was great. It was well kept and spacious. It had many ammenities you would find in your own home (namely in the kitchen). There were many steps, but even my 2 1/2 year old was able to navigate them. Definitely bring in as much key food that you can. There is a store, but it is pricey. We found the BP close by helpful the night we arrived. (The Marketplace closes at 7pm.) And don't forget paper products! (Including TP) The owner was especially helpful with questions. We loved that we could bring our dog who loves the water! This was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

As many others have had to do this summer - our plans to go to the Gulf shifted due to oil. Lake Keowee was a short 2 hour drive from our house in Atlanta and we could not have been more pleased. This house sits in a quiet cove and with three floors, has plenty of room for everyone to stretch out. Our family loved the outdoor screened porch and loved playing pool downstairs - when we were home. The lake is huge and if you rent a boat you can tube, ski, or just cruise and look at all the beautiful waterfront property. Our girls really enjoyed a few days of tubing. Renting a boat from Lake Jocasse outdoor center was fast and easy. Another good thing about this house is that a pool was within walking distance. We had a baby with us, so being able to float in the pool was a good alternative to the lake on some days.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
