Year Purchased: 2003
Hello, my name is Norm Goodfellow and my wife May and I have travelled with our children to various islands in the Caribbean, but we felt most at home on Grand Bahama Island. I have a contracting company in Ontario Canada and had been searching for the right property on which to build our vacation home.
Why the Owner Chose Freetown
The Goodfellow family has vacationed on Grand Bahama for more than 15 years and enjoyed the area and local people so much they built a home on Pelican Point in the late 1990's.
The demands of the construction industry in Canada kept the Goodfellow family in the North a great deal of time and they decided to try share their vacation home by renting it out when not in residence. This proved successful and when Norm decided to build a larger home, he looked for the best beach he could find on the island of Grand Bahama.
He located a large lot on Golden Beach and in 2003 completed work on his current home near Freetown.
