Home of the University of Kansas, Lawrence is a 50 minute drive from the Kansas City airport (MCI). It is a vibrant community of about 80,000 situated along the banks of the Kansas River. The city features the University's lovely campus, many shops (both funky and upscale), a top-notch regional music scene, many small art galleries, biking trails, the state's only hydro-electric plant, two top-rated University Museums, and a variety of fine restaurants (including the Free-State Brewery, known for its brews). Forty miles to the east is Kansas City, nationally known for its Nelson Gallery of Art and its World War I Museum.
The penthouse apartment is located on a property established by one of Lawrence's original settlers. The historic and beautiful property has been occupied by one family for a century. The pool, originally the basement of the first farmhouse, is heated and open from May through September(weather permitting). The outdoor spa is available from September through May.

- The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a prairie-style 1914 home and on an historic 15 acre property. Access is an outside circular 2 flight stairway or through basement entrance to elevator. Penthouse also includes piano and treadmill. Both beds are double. Second bedroom bed is a pull-out.
Rate Details (In US Dollars)
One bedroom: $350 for initial 3 nights; $50 for subsequent
nights. Subsequent weekly charge is $500, including cleaning and change of linens.
Two bedrooms: $400 for initial 3 nights. $75 for
subsequent nights. Subsequent weeks are $600 including cleaning and change of
linens.
Two night stay for one bedroom:$250.
Two night stay for 2 bedrooms: $300
Washer-dryer available for stays of one week or more.
