The Cottage in Kenwood is a spacious yet cozy wine country retreat located in Kenwood Village in the heart of the Sonoma Valley in the famous Valley of the Moon.
The Cottage in Kenwood is exquisitely furnished and includes a deluxe master suite with king size sleigh bed, down comforter and luxurious designer linens. A comfortable bath with shower, plush towels and spa robes await you.
If you like to cook, there’s a fully equipped kitchen complete with gas stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker and other essentials. During the summer enjoy an outdoor gas grill and dinner under the old redwood tree. Other amenities include wireless internet, a Sony 27” TV with DVD, an iHome for your iPod, and CD player.
The Cottage is just a few blocks from Hwy. 12 at the east side of Kenwood Village. You can stroll around Plaza Park and walk to nearby shops and wineries. Kenwood has four excellent restaurants from "chic to Sonoma Casual” all within walking distance. In the morning head over to VJB (a local favorite) and enjoy a latte and pastry with Victorio the proprietor.
And the Kenwood Market has all the essentials for a picnic in the park or a quiet dinner at home.
The renowned Kenwood Inn and Spa provides a wonderful experience and is just 5 minutes away by car. If you’re a wine lover with a thirst for adventure, we highly recommend a tour of MacLeod Family Vineyards. Meet John and Marjorie MacLeod and hike to the top of their mountain vineyard to enjoy the view and a glass of their family’s Zinfandel.
The Cottage in Kenwood is conveniently located near 3 state parks offering an array of outdoor activities. Sugarloaf Ridge State Park has excellent hiking as well as the Robert Ferguson Observatory.
If you’re into mountain biking, nearby Annadel State Park offers miles of world-class single track riding. For a taste of history, visit Jack London State Park in nearby Glen Ellen.
One of the best things about Kenwood is that it is centrally located with hundreds of Sonoma and Napa Valley wineries all within easy driving distance. For shopping and fine dinning the town of Sonoma is only a short drive away.

- The cottage is conveniently located in Kenwood Village across the street from a quiet park. You can easily walk to many unique shops and wineries or ride your bike. If you are an avid bike rider, Annadel State Park offers outstanding mountain bike single track riding close by. We invite you to take a private vineyard tour with our friends John and Marjorie MacLeod at their family ranch. Hike to the top of the hill above the vineyard, enjoy some wine and cheese and take in the breathtaking view of the Kenwood Valley and mountains.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2005
I work in wine industry while my wife is a real estate agent in town. We purchased this property from the original owner and have gradually brought it to life over the past few years. The Cottage was actually the original home and was never used again once the main house was built. In fact, when we bought it, the dishwasher was brand new but never hooked up -that was around 1958. Since then, we have created a quiet retreat for our guests to use and enjoy while visiting the Sonoma Wine Country. Please feel free to ask us about all the things to do and see while you stay with us.
