Duck & Pug Lakeshore Suites has a variety of pet friendly units available to meet the needs of dogs. It was the first property in the Okanagan to receive premier certification from Pets can Stay Canada. We continue to provide our pet guests with considerate care and attention.
Our lakeshore unit is on our main floor, with it's own lakeside patio and adjacent to our new courtyard that features a soothing water feature with fountain, and sitting areas under the pergola.
The Unit is a fully self contained suite with a full kitchen that includes a fridge, stove, dishes and cutlery and all necessary bedding and linens. A small private marina is in front and beside us and provides a beautiful view of the harbor, lake and mountains beyond. On the other side of our property is Peachland Waterfront Park, a wonderful area for children, picnics and a stroll along the public waterfront. Just across the street are charming shops and a variety of excellent restaurants. We even have a restaurant at the end of our driveway!
Just a short walk away there is an excellent off leash doggy beach for our pet guests. Peachland also has lots to offer our people guests, with winery tours, both in Peachland and to the North and South of us, golf, tennis, hiking and biking, watersports, boating and fishing, and of course just soaking up the sun of our long warm summer days and evenings.

Year Purchased: 1994
About the owner: Hugh and Irene Simpson - owners. My husband and I are on our 2nd career. As my husband was an electrician, he has been appointed all around handyman.. He is also our major renovator and gardener. As I spent my career mainly in nursing administration I take care of all business activities . Considering my husband takes reservations on 2x4's, it was decided I would also handle all telephone and internet responsibilities. Hugh's favorite things to do include hiking, trails riding and 4x4ing in the crown land just 5 minutes drive from our property. He also loves to spend 2 shifts per day at the coffee shop across the street. His other interests include music, movies and books. Irene - Based on the principle of 'If you can't beat them - join them' I enjoy a long morning coffee break as well. I also love spoiling our cat 'Precious', shopping the discount stores, and for all the neat things we buy for our units. I absolutely love our location - sitting on our deck overlooking the lake every day and hosting friends for lunches and dinners.
Why the Owner Chose Peachland:
We had a 10 room B&B Inn in Banff, Alberta for quite a few years. We found Peachland and decided it would be a wonderful place to retire. Since we love the accommodation business it was a natural transfer for us. We now can go away for the winters and work in the summer in the only place we want to be.
It's semi retirement with perks!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
We have the best of both worlds. We really have no neighbors as there is parkland on one side and the Marina and Restaurant on the other (although having a restaurant at the end of your driveway is hazardous to the waist line!!) We are also right across the street from all of the downtown Peachland businesses - like coffee shops, restaurants, stores, pharmacy, doctor etc.
It is also wonderful to walk along Beach avenue which follows the waterfront for a long way. The town has enlarged the sidewalks to enhance the experience, along with many lovely plantings. Peachland is the most beautiful little town in the World! That's what we think.
