All this area offers a smart selection of bistro restaurants, cafés, boutique clothes and jewelry shops, delicatessen and specialized gift shops. This air-conditioned duplex-apartment (two Levels ) of 100 sqm, is located in a fully renovated registered 18th century building ("Hotel du Palais Gallien"). This apartment has been beautifully and totally renovated in 2008 and finished with all-new furnishings, fixtures and fittings. The apartment is full air-conditioned. I would recommend highly this rental property; it offered exactly what is described in the ad and more. We enjoyed not only the approximity to the heart of the city, which has so much to offer, but also the fact that after a day of sightseing we were coming back to a place where we had all the comfort and peace and were able to unwind, being very well aware that we were still in the city. We also enjoyed the fact that we had no need to rent a car, Bordeaux has so much transportations available. My granddaughter also enoyed the fact that every morning she could go down the street to the nearest bakery and buy her "pains au chocolat", she had the chance to practice her french, and by doing so, she feels ready to start the year with more confidence. I am very happy that I rented this apartment and thanks to Olivier my daughters, grandaughter and I, made wonderful memories which will stay forever. Thank You Olivier....
Owner response:Thank you a lot for your stay in Bordeaux. It was a pleasure to meet you and all your family. Have a nice trip back to your home. Olivier.

A very nice and comfortable apartment an easy stroll from the city center. Well stocked, clean, and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep (curved stairwell) and would be difficult for the infirm. Otherwise a very good rental that afforded location, comfort and a nice quiet neighborhood. I would stay there again if I returned to Bordeaux.
Owner response:Thank you for your kindness. You would be welcome if you stay again in Bordeaux.

Wonderful home away from home. I spent most of the month of December in this flat. The pictures don't do it justice. The home is clean, convenient and very very safe. Thank you Olivier for working with me and my wacky schedule. Would love to have you if you are ever in Oklahoma!
Owner response:Thank you for staying in my apartment in Bordeaux. Hoping to see you again. Regards, Olivier.

Olivier, We left the apartment this morning to get to the airport for our flight to London. Thank you for making the apt. available to us. It was very comfortable and very close to the sights of Bordeaux, as well as convenient for our day travels to the beach, chateaus, and other interesting places. We enjoyed Bordeaux very much, and will certainly tell our friends who may visit there about your wonderful place. With your well-equipped kitchen we were able to enjoy a few dinners cooked by ourselves, as well as lunches and breakfasts, using your patio to much pleasure. Thank you again. We look forward to another stay in Bordeaux in your apartment in the future. We left some maps and books that may be of use to future guests. Best regards, Alan Solomon

Dear Olivier, Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay at Bordeaux with its fabulous architecture and excellent food. This was made more enjoyable because you apartment was ideally located in the heart of town. It was a lovely, clean & comfortable apartment. Thank you also for waiving the E 1000 security deposit which I happily spent in Bordeax buying antiques and clothes ! We will be back at Bordeaux in future and will stay at your place again. Yes I will go into VRBO web and note my comments. Kind regards Moyra

This apartment is in the best location in centre ville Bordeaux. It is well furnished and comfortable. It is extremely convenient and has everything you need, including a peaceful place in the midst of a busy city. The two bedrooms are next to each other upstairs. A small grocery store (Carrefour City) is across the street. The post office is half a block away. Nice dining experiences are around the corner. Virgin megastore is across the Place Gambetta. Olivier was very good to work with. He was very responsive when we were planning our trip, was there to greet us at the apartment and to show us how to work everything. He has a useful binder with maps and recommendations for local restaurants, and free wifi.
Owner response:Dear "Gourmande", Thank you so much for staying in my apartment in Bordeaux. It was very pleasant to meet you. I am so happy you had great vacation. Have a very happy 2010. Take care. I hope to see you again. Olivier.

Dear Olivier, Happy holiday season!!! We are still dreaming about our fantastic Bordeaux vacation! In huge part thanks to you. We absolutely loved your apartment: architecture-former 18 century Convent, security-gated and coded compound with very friendly caretaker, private parking space, location . We admired your great taste in decorating, art and music. You thought of every little detail to make our vacation so easy and pleasant-from lovely cotton linens to fluffy bath towels, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, great appliances( I switched my old iron to the same model as yours). We loved very fresh, clean, brand new feel to your cozy apartment, everything was so nice and welcoming, very quiet as well. Terrace was great for breakfast and late night wine tasting...bright stars and Mozart music. Oh, too bad our stay was too short. Thank you for your two thick folders with all the maps, instructions, suggestions, business cards for the best places, restaurants, shops, attractions. We used them a lot and had a great experience in Bordeaux .We always felt your guiding hand. Business part was very pleasant, thank you for such a prompt refund. We are very grateful and happy that we had a chance to meet you and stay at your apartment. Hopefully we'll meet again. If you are ever planning to be in New York, let us know! HAPPY 2010!!!! Best regards, Lana & Alex
