This 1930's cottage is a throwback to old Cape Cod and has been enjoyed by my family since then. It's been described as a real "Summer of '42" cottage if you've seen the movie. Sandy feet and wet towels are really no big deal.
With five bedrooms and 1.5 baths, it can accommodate a large family and is great for kids. The maximum occupancy is 10 people. There is plenty of room to spread out, with an eat-in kitchen, large living room, front porch, and a spot to lay out in the sun on the side of the house.
The house sits about 500 feet from a semi-private sand beach (shared with other houses in the area) where you can walk along the shore for miles, fish, or head down to the public beach in West Dennis for a more lively atmosphere.
The cottage is regularly served by ice cream trucks.

- Linens Provided: We can arrange linens for an additional fee or can refer you to rental companies that regularly deliver towels and/or sheet sets in the area. Without a request, no linens or towels will be provided.
- Off Street Parking: Parking available for 3 or 4 cars depending on size.

- Queen Bed: There is a queen bed in one of the two downstairs bedrooms.
- Double Bed (3) : There is one double bed in a downstairs bedroom. In the upstairs back bedroom, the double bed shares a room with a crib and a twin bed. In the upstairs front bedroom, it shares a room with a twin bed.
- Twin/Single Bed (4) : There is one twin bed in the front and in the back upstairs bedrooms and two twin beds in the middle upstairs bedroom.
- Crib: The crib shares the back upstairs bedroom with a twin bed and a double bed.

Year Purchased: 1933
Hi there! I am Steve Simpson and am the fourth generation of the Simpson family to have grown up spending summers in our cottage. Though I live full-time in Washington, D.C., we have family living less than a mile away (the second generation) ready to help with any problems that might arise when you're enjoying the cottage.
Why the Owner Chose West Dennis
The property was purchased in the 30's before the area was developed. Mostly settled by working class families seeking simple summer retreats, the cottage and many other original cottages in the area were built by our relatives by hand. Many of the cottages in the area still belong to the original families who first came to the area.
