The Lake House at Cedar Point located on the Cedar Point Chausee lies in the strip of luxury waterfront homes between the south shore of Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay.
A total architectural redesign and remodel was completed in 2009. The ground floor boasts an open floor plan with breathtaking panoramic views of the bay. The gourmet kitchen, multiple eating areas, teak boat bar, flat screen TV, gas fireplace and full bath/laundry make it ideal for family gatherings and entertaining. The walkout patio leads to a manicured lawn on Sandusky Bay with a gas grill, fire pit and abundant outdoor seating.
Up the stairs to the second floor you’ll find four open air bedrooms with cathedral ceilings and two full baths. The master suite has a large in-suite bathroom with a luxurious Jacuzzi tub overlooking the bay and separate shower. The walk-in closet also has a second laundry. This king suite has a small kitchenette with refrigerator and coffee maker, a TV, cozy fireplace and private bayside deck. The second king suite is large and comfortable with a TV, ceiling fan and soft accent lighting. This suite has a large unique three-quarter round window ideal for watching the sun drop gracefully into the bay. The third queen suite is a private and cozy retreat with a vaulted natural wood ceiling, TV and a ceiling fan. The fourth suite is conveniently located adjacent to the full bath and third bedroom. This child friendly room offers a full/twin built in bunk bed and has a view to the north of beautiful Lake Erie. The second floor common full bath is spacious with a jetted tub and separate shower. Continuing upward is a private loft with a TV and fold-out queen sleeper sofa. A large round window offers views to the Lake while three power skylights let in the Lake breeze.
Now on to the beach… A short walk down the driveway past the historic “1937 Michigan” wooden sailboat nestled in the landscape is the beautiful, sandy, private beach. Enjoy swimming and basking in the sun while sitting on one of the eight beach chairs provided. If you prefer the shade, relax under the natural canopy of willows on the large two person hammock.
On the Bay side… enjoy croquet, volley ball, bocce ball, horse shoes and other family activities. Or, paddle out onto the sheltered waters of Sandusky Bay and encounter the unique wildlife habitat or enjoy a cruise up the coast for a self-guided architectural tour of the waterfront homes in the canoe or row boat provided.
