This is not Destin or Panama City, no crowds, and the island has three wonderful restaurants, a bakery, Juana's Pagoda Bar and the longest pier in the Gulf with new patio bar right on the gulf. You can walk to each one without a problem.
Family friendly yet quiet and romantic. All that visit come back year after year, you will not be disappointed. The road between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach is one of the most natural and scenic drives in the Eastern US. Tiger Point Golf is within 5 miles and Hidden Creek Golf with full clubhouse and restaurant is within 3 miles. The National Naval Air Museum and The Blue Angels are close by in Pensacola. Hurlburt Field which is home to the Air Force Special Operations Command and the 16th Special Operations Wing, is in Mary Esther just before Ft Walton Beach. Every once in a while you will see one of the Air Forces "ospry" airplanes come by. This is really a cool area of Florida to decompress. A few miles up the road toward Milton is some of the best canoe and kayak outings as well as Zip Lines through the Florida terrain. Come Visit!!
