This apartment is quiet, clean, well equipped, and well maintained. It delivers everything that it promises. The location is within walking distance of the financial district, the BART, and hundreds of restaurants to suit every taste and budget. (Shalimar on Polk suits my taste and budget for example.) The owner is unobtrusive but responsive. We would make this apartment our first choice for any future extended stay in San Francisco.

We had an excellent time and enjoyed our stay at this apartment very much. It has a great location, just a few blocks from Union Square. The apartment was very comfortable, furnished well and had all of the items you need for day to day living. We found it to be very clean and well maintained. It was a much better alternative than staying at a hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

Firstly and most importantly, everything which Peter (the owner) posted on VRBO, including photos, was totally accurate; and you couldn't ask for a finer owner/manager than Peter - he was courteous, prompt, responsive, reliable, hospitable, informative and, generally, a really nice and sincere guy. The apartment is spacious feeling, cheerful looking and uplifting, done in a Swedish modern, simple design. It was meticulously cleaned for our check-in. It is not only fully accessorized with many of the items you would have in your own home, but the kitchen is also equipped with most of the spices, oils, condiments and other goodies you'd need to whip up and serve any nice meal. The queen bed was comfortable for lots of zzz's, but firm enough for sore backs. The building is a modern-looking high rise with good and friendly front desk security, and includes a well-equipped small gym with treadmills, elliptical trainers, weights, mirrors and large-screen TV - that, together with lots of downtown walking, helped me maintain good physical condition, even after eating at many of the scrumptious restaurants close by! The building laundry room is clean and contains plenty of machines. The location was really perfect for us - it was close enough to Union Square, downtown, the theaters, Chinatown, the Polk Street restaurants to be walkable (5-15 minutes) without many steep hills, but far enough from the action to be relatively quiet. We used our car to make more side trips than we expected, so the protected in-building garage turned out to be a valuable amenity. The views from the apartment are of the lush, rear building gardens and the swimming pool. Every home or apartment has some drawbacks, but the only one that we found at Peter's was occasional exterior noise generated by ambulances or early trash collection. All in all, though, the apartment is very quiet and well insulated, with almost no noise coming from other apartments or the corridors. When we're back to San Francisco next, we will definitely try to stay at Peter's apartment again.

My husband and I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. The photos are accurate but the apartment surpassed our expectations. It's immaculately kept, thanks to Regina. While we did not meet Peter, we found him to be attentive and responsive to our needs, as well as a friendly email correspondent. The location is superb for walkers, which we are, close to must-see SF sights like Grace Cathedral and Chinatown, with convenient bus routes nearby if you don't want to brave the hills. Other amenities - restaurants, dry cleaners, grocery stores and neighbourhood bars (like Zeki's on California between Leavenworth and Hyde) also make for a positive experience. We'd go back anytime. I can't say enough about the apartment! Upon entry, I took note of all the amenities. The unit is bright, airy, clean, and extremely quiet. It is well furnished with a complete kitchen to serve the needs of potential clients. It commits to comfort that is a priority for vacation rental seekers. The apartment is centrally located with easy access to Union Square. There are places to eat right out the door of the front lobby. There is a grocery across the entrance. For me it was like a "home away from home." I highly recommend this unit. Peter is easy to work with. He makes sure that each individual is happily settled upon arrival and for the entire duration of their stay. Thank you, Peter!!

We recently returned from a five-week stay at Peter's apartment. The apartment is quiet, clean, comfortable, spacious, filled with natural light, and has everything that one needs for a long stay. We would recommend this apartment for anyone spending some time in San Francisco. The location is perfect (close to many attractions) and great for anyone who enjoys walking in this beautiful city. We look forward to a return visit!

I was very happy with my visit and staying in the apartment contributed greatly to that. It certainly felt like a home the one month I was there. The location was fantastic and I found myself just walking everywhere. The people in the reception were especially helpful in helping me find my way. I was very happy that your kitchen was fairly complete. My vacation became a "cooking holiday" and what a combination with amazing California produce. I also met Regina and she was very nice, thorough and efficient. There was a minor concern regarding the tub but Peter helped with that and that's greatly appreciated.

We stayed at Peter's apartment for vacation during the month of August 2010. The location is perfect to stay in downtown: safe, at walking distance to Union Square, Chinatown, Powell and Market St., with all the public transport as Bart, Muni, cablecar and buses. Supermarket is very close. The apartment is new, very quiet and incredibly clean. Everything works and we liked the simple and good taste style, large spaces and also very functional and convenient. From the beginning we felt like at home. We didn't use the swimming pool, San Francisco weather does not help, probably in September it must have been great t have it. Doing buiness with Peter was easy and reliable, like dealing with a friend. He was also very helpful with any question we had on visiting the city and environments. We strongly recommend the apartment, ideal for two people but even with two children sleeping in the convertible sofa bed it would be the best choice if you like to be in downtown. The quality-price ratio is unbeatable.

This is our second stay at this condo...It is the perfect choice. We were even more pleased second time around. We arrived to find it well cleaned and every detail addressed. This owner does this rental thing perfectly...I doubt we could find a better, safer, cleaner place to stay. Great location...beautifully decorated and as clean as the finest city hotels we've stayed at. No negatives at all. JUST LOVELY...

I stayed at Peter's apartment for a business trip during the month of July 2010. The location is easily accessible to San Francisco downtown shopping center, supermarkets, and all public transportation ( i.e Muni, cablecar and Bart) The apartment is very modern, new, organized, quiet and always clean. It's also extremely spacious, and if you have any guest, or traveling with children, the living room has a comfortable convertible bed. All the Kitchen appliances work, you don't have to worry in bringing anything extra, except to buy food. The same goes for the bathroom appliances ( i.e. towels, blow dryer and so on) A good tip is to buy groceries from Safeway ( the 1st time registering, the delivery is free) I loved Peter's place, I felt comfortable and always safe. Peter was always available and it was a great pleasure to work with him. The apartment has a doorman, swimming pool, gym and laundry. So, it makes it very conveient, for those who stay for business trips. I highly recommend the apartment, either for vacation or anything else, it's a great deal and quality-price.

We found this condo to be even more beautiful than the pictures or as described. It was clean and spacious and in a wonderful location and very secure building. All you could want or need in a vacation rental. The owner was most helpful and gracious..the mid-month cleaning was so nice to have. We were close to everything you would want to see in the City...lots of restaurants and markets..cable car....just perfect. The owner of this property does it right...nothing is over looked. Beautifully decorated...bed was comfortable...plenty of linens etc. Nothing was missed..... We are already booked for next year....just a great place...lots of windows...friendly staff at main entrance...could not have made a better choice. It was a sad day having to leave.

Living in San Francisco for several weeks it was very convenient to find such a nice place with all the comfort of a well managed building.I felt save and at home immediately in this spacious, light and tastefully furnished apartment.Although there are nice cafes and restaurants nearby the kitchen is so generously equiped for more than a breakfast, and a grocery store is just across the street. Extra nice and helpful is the internet access for the laptop. I also enjoyed using the gym in the basement, and hopefully next time I will get to use the swimming pool, too. It is so close to Union Square,the Market,my favorite Museums.the Opera and Concert Hall.The local buses for further goals are only one or two blocks away.
