My husband John and I, Diane, built Alaska Creekside Cabins in 2003, starting with 3 cabins at the Cottonwood Creek location. The following year we built 2 more cabins in a nice secluded spot on Wasilla Creek, & an additional 2 cabins on the other end of Cottonwood Creek, the Shady Nook location. I believe we offer something very unique within the Matsu Valley, as each of our locations are on salmon spawning creeks. We offer the convenience of being only minutes from downtown Wasilla or Palmer, yet the seclusion most people are looking for.
As locals with knowledge of the community, our objective is to diligently assist you in meeting your vacation goals, while making sure you are as comfortable as possible with your lodging. We love Alaska & love to share our knowledge of this great state too!

My wife & I went to Alaska to experience a "real" winter & thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alaska Creekside Cabins. The cabin was very clean & comfortable and was just like described. We loved the location, as we were only a 10 min. drive to the grocery store. We even got to see the northern lights. Our cabin was perfect for viewing them.The host's were great and even helped us plan some day trips too. One thing to remember if you are visiting in the winter - not all attractions are open, so keep in mind while doing your planning.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Great Location, private and secure. Very nicely equipped kitchen, linens etc.

We stayed at the Chinook Cabin for two nights. It is on the owners property but quite a distance giving adequate privacy. The cabins are very nicely equipped with cable tv, wireless internet, full bathroom, deck, and all linens, utensils etc. There are three cabins next to one another, but we still felt that it was very private. My family really enjoyed the location and the privacy. The cabins are nicely lit outside on the deck and in back of the cabin where you park. The cabins were very clean and ready for use. The only thing you need to bring to this cabin is your food. I recommend this cabin to anyone passing through or extended stays.
