We could not have been more pleased with our extended stay in this home! The house is so impressively clean (i'm sort of a germaphobe so this says a lot), the furnishings are very comfortable and tasteful, the kitchen has basically everything you need for cooking, baking, and even storage containers for your leftovers. The beds are super comfortable with good pillows and soft linens, and I LOVED the big soaking tub in the master bathroom. The house is well stocked with firewood and we loved having the living room fire going every afternoon and evening. I also loved the mudroom entrance from the garage- so nice to be able to pull off all your gear and boots, hang everything in one place and not clutter up a hallway or the front door foyer. Another perk that sets this house ahead of others is the size of the garage, were were able to park our large SUV with a Thule cargo box on the roof inside the garage no problem. Overall we LOVED this home and it honestly felt more like we were staying in our family's house- not your typical rental by any means and the owner was a dream to work with!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was the first time we had ever used VRBO. From the onset, the experience was terrific. The owner, Linda, is a very nice lady who took care of every detail. The house is ideally located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the Village but close enough that you can walk or take the shuttle bus and be at the village in less than 5 minutes. The house is immaculate, well stocked, open and spacious. Every detail was thought of to make your stay warm and comfortable. The layout is ideal for either two families or just a family that wants to have some privacy but not feel excluded from the rest of the house. The kitchen is more than well stocked, the bedding is very nice and comfortable, and the hot tub has excellent access from the house. We would definitely recommend this rental to anyone and will definitely be returning more than once a year as we now have a wonderful place to stay! Thank you Linda for everything you did to make our stay wonderful!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We have had the pleasure of spending two family vacations at this beautiful home over the past two summers. Finding a location for a family vacation when the kids are young adults is increasingly challenging but given the superb Shuttle transportation to the Village and rec center, everyone could be as independent as they wished, to the relief and enjoyment of all. The fact that the lower floor has its own family room allows separation if so desired. This would also work well for more than one family. The home is beautiful, comfortably decorated and thoughtfully stocked with whatever one could possible need in the beautiful, spacious kitchen but given the wonderful summer weather, the outdoor grill did the majority of the cooking for our stay. Linda, the owner, is a delight to deal with and we all feel more like we are staying at a friend's home than just a rental house. We all had a wonderful time and hope we can repeat this special family time in the years to come.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My extended family of six, with two young children, spent a wonderful long-weekend at this property. The home is beautifully designed and appointed, very spacious, has first class amenities, and a fully stocked kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and there are two separate living rooms that allow lots of space for family activities. The upstairs and downstairs can be separated by closing one door which makes it very flexible for multi-family occupancy. The Northstar transportation system is fantastic for getting to and from the Village with virtually no wait-time. Super for skiing. Linda, the owner, could not have been more accommodating and gracious in making our trip a success.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

WOW…what a jewel! One of the great things about Northstar is having so many amenities so close by (the ski slopes, shopping, dining…and a great rec facility with a huge workout room!). We’ve rented homes at Tahoe for 25 years and for many of those years at Northstar – this is our all-time favorite! This home is just gorgeous –beautifully decorated with a very warm, open and expansive feeling – the cathedral ceilings are just majestic! After an active day on the ski slopes, being able to come home to this stunning home, soak in the spacious hot tub and take in a starry night makes for such a perfect vacation. And after hot tubbing, being able to prepared some fantastic meals in this huge, very well equipped kitchen…wow…all five stars! The beds were very comfortable, and with 2700 sq ft there was plenty of space for all of us. Another plus was that the owner was just a delight to work with…and just couldn’t have been nicer! There seemed to be something here for everyone and we’re looking forward to our return visit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
