My family and I stayed at this home for Christmas and New Years. We loved the home and enjoyed spending the holidays there. From the minute we arrived we felt at home! The owners take pride in their home and it so well equipped that you will feel right at home. The highlight for me was that I was able to take my dogs. It has a fenced in back yard and it is perfect for the dogs to be able to run free. It has a beautiful fire place and the kitchen is outstanding. Especially, if you enjoy making special meals. I can't say enough about this place but I hope if you make the choice to stay here, that your stay is as memorable as mine was. Brian thank you for your hospitality and for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Whisper Lake Cabin is beautiful! The owners have meticulously decorated and furnished this cabin so that you feel like you are at home instead of in a vacation rental. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of and placed for your convenience, comfort and enjoyment. The cabin is convenient to multiple site seeing venues and other amenities. We viewed the fall foliage and water falls at Glenville Lake by a pontoon boat. Tom Sawyer Tree Farm was another great way to view the changing of the leaves and take in a great pancake breakfast. If you are interested in horseback riding, we would recommend Arrowmont Stables. Nearby, Cashiers, Glenville and Highlands were a must to add to your trip. We would highly recommend this area for nature lovers! The owners are very personable and aim to please. Your pup will enjoy the big fenced in back yard! I wish for you a vacation as memorable as ours! Thank you so much for opening your home for others to enjoy it.

A Great Mountain Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed Whisper Lake Cabin as well as the entire Sapphire Valley/Cashiers area for the five weeks we spent here. The cabin was very spacious and was exactly as described by Brian, the owner. It accommodated our family in every respect and easily slepted all seven of us. Our grandchildren loved the bunk beds and playing on the large deck and in the fenced-in back yard. The cabin is perfectly situated to take advantage of the many amenities offered by the Sapphire Valley Resort as well as to experience the natural beauty of the mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway and the many federal and state forests with hiking trails, golf courses, waterfalls and fishing streams. There are several restaurants on the resort and our personal favorites were The Four Season Grille and the Brewery. The close by town of Cashiers also has several restaurants. We especially enjoyed The Cornucopia and the BBQ at the Farmers Market. Brian has been a fountain of information and he was so easy to work with. We will fondly remember the time we spent here and will return here again whenever we vacation in this area. We highly recommend Whisper Lake Cabin for families with children, seniors, and for all those who love the natural beauty of the North Carolina Mountains.

Superb Mountain Home

We had such a wonderful time at Whisper Lake Cabin. The home is so beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. Everything in the description is accurate and does not do this place justice. We have been here for 2 weeks and do not want to go home. The yard is level to gentley sloped which is unusual in the mountains. We woke up to hummingbirds every morning with our coffee on the porch. The forrest view is beautiful. This home is appropriate for children, adults or seniors. Thank you Brian for being such a joy to work with and for sharing your home. John, Cindy, Cheryl and Kim

Blissful Holiday week in an amazingly well appointed home!

Granted, not everyone goes to the mountains in the middle of Winter, but we did. And we loved it! The owners were amazing from beginning to end. The cabin is just spectacular and very well equipped. Most of the stuff we brought we did not even have to unpack since the kitchen had every gadget we needed. It is spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and in a perfect location with easy access to many local attractions. Our Christmas/New Year's stay allowed us to experience the beauty of the area and the comforts of a great cabin home. We hope to be able to visit in the future again!

We almost don't want to write how absolutely wonderful everything was because we'd like for this cabin to stay our secret! Brian was wonderful to work with and the cabin was everything listed and much more. It is beautiful, very clean, has a perfect layout, amenities galore, and is close to everything. Perfect family vacation house

We just spent a week at this wonderful Whisper Lake Cabin. The house is just what we wanted and was exactly our taste...cabin comfortable with nice high end finishes. The kitchen is beautfiul (loved the dishes) and the bathrooms are all awesome, especially the master! The loft floor plan was great for our family and the covered deck off the back of the house has a pretty wooded view. The private lake is just down the street. The location is convenient to anything you would be doing in the area and the Sapphire Valley restaurants (Brewery was our favorite), lake and Recreation Center are all great and really close. Buck's Coffee shop in Cashiers is the best! We will definitely stay at this property again next time we visit the area!!

Wonderful Mountain Vacation Home

Wow, what a wonderful home. We had everything we needed and more. Lots of storage for your gear. very comfortable beds. Great deck to have morning coffee or twilight dinner. Very well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful forrest view and gentle slopping yard. Short walk to Whisper Lake. We had a great time for our month's stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Beautiful home and surrounding area. We used the Sapphier Amenities alot. We will be back! Owner anxious to please and a pleasure to work with..Thanks Brian!

A True Retreat

This mountain cabin was an excellent setting for great couple getaway weekend. The cabin is nestled neatly in the woods providing a feel of escape from home. The amenties such as the remote control fireplace, hottub, outdoor deck overlooking the woods, widescreen TV, and super-comfy master bed provided the spoils we wanted to unwind. The full service kitchen and decorative touches is sure to impress any spouse. It is also large enough and friendly enough to bring the kids (if we had to). The cabin is brand new was very clean and well maintained. We would recommend this to our closest friends. We enjoyed the true beauty of this area of the country and took advantage of convenient and scenic trips to Whitewater Falls and Whiteside Mountain. The Brown Trout restraunt proved to be a charming mountain lodge experience for great food and a relaxing bottle of wine for a couple celebrating life together.
