This 3 story spacious home has been completely remodeled with attention to detail and is the perfect Home-Away from-Home for couples, families, reunions, and friends getting together to enjoy one of the most beautiful areas on the Monterey Peninsula...Pacific Grove- home of the Monarch Butterfly and nicknamed "America's last hometown."
This charming turn of the century house is only two blocks to downtown Pacific Grove with award winning restaurants, cafe's, bakeries, numerous coffee houses, a movie cinema, art galleries, a bookstore/coffee house with live entertainment and many specialty shops including vintage clothing, antique stores, an ice cream shop as well as a Monday Farmer's Market with organic produce, local crafts and food.
It is an easy 4 block walk to Lover's Point Beach and the breathtaking regional trail that winds along the Monterey Bay connecting Asilomar State Beach, The famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf.
There you will find one great restaurant after the next, Local wine tasting with amazing views of the Bay as well as many tourist attractions including whale watching, sailing, kayaking and chowder sampling.
We are only a 5 minutes drive to the Pebble Beach Gate and 17th mile drive and 10 minute drive to Carmel and another 20 minutes to Carmel Valley. Big Sur is a 45 minute drive South with some of the most breathtaking views in the world.
Located on a quiet street this light filled home has been restored and remodeled by a local architect and has many special features such as traditional oak floors, high ceilings, and is tastefully decorated to give a warm ambiance.
There are numerous bonus rooms to gather together or to pick out a private spot and curl up with a book, write, listen to music, paint or even take a nap.
On the first floor there is a solarium with views of the gardens and fountains from both ends as well as an open floor plan that includes a dining area with a large wooden table perfect to share a meal or sit around and drink coffee and enjoy good conversation.
There is a formal parlor-living room, a fireplace room crafted from local Carmel stone and is perfect for sitting on the comfortable couch and relaxing with a glass of wine or curled up with a good novel. There is also a game room/library, and a fully equipped kitchen along with a laundry room and full bathroom with a claw foot tub.
On the second floor there is a TV room with a sectional couch large enough for everyone to watch a movie or sports game and includes a pull out sofa bed. The billiard room has a full size pool table and is located next to the TV room making it perfect for socializing and having fun.
There are 3 bedrooms that include a queen bed, one with a double bed, and one also with a double bed and sofa bed (single). There is a full bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower that is accessible to all three bedrooms.
The third floor is the Master Suite and this space is like being in the tree tops with beautiful sunsets and sunrises that can be seen from the windows and balcony. The master suite has it's own large sitting area, master bathroom with deep soaking tub, and wonderful bay views.
The queen bed has a heated mattress cover pad and a select comfort bed air mattress. Both are dual controlled and optional. You can count on a great night sleep high above the tree tops with the salt air smells rafting from the near by Bay.
This space is as big as a studio apartment.
Guests will love the special treats and amenities such as the bottle of wine or sparkling cider(upon request),tasty cheese and fruit plate
Guests may choose to have daily cleaning service, in house massage by some of the best professionals in the area, private chef/catering as well as concierge services.

- Double Bed : On the second level there are is a double bed in bedroom #2 There is also a single couch. There is another double bed in the pull out TV Room which can be closed for privacy
- Twin/Single Bed : There are 2 single beds located in first floor that is presently considered the owners room and not included in rental. If however renting this would make a difference the flat fee of $100 will be added

My wedding party stayed here for 3 nights during the weekend of our wedding. The house is very spacious, comfortable and well-stocked. Everything you could possibly need, they probably have it. The kitchen in particular was very large, which was great for cooking meals together. There are also plenty of entertainment options (pool table, TV room, a closet full of games as well as walking distance to shops and the beach). It made for a great bonding experience! The owner and their assistants are extremely helpful and accessible. I would definitely recommend this house for a large group!

9/5/11 We enjoyed your home. It seems to be unique among Pacific Grove properties in that it’s very large but also allows visitors to have some privacy! There are so many rooms that we easily spread ourselves out among them. The master suite is truly exceptional- huge but cozy, secluded from the other two floors, and beautifully furnished. In fact, the entire house is tastefully decorated and restored- a very warm, comfortable home. The center of the house for our family was the game room with pool table. We always had a least two players shooting pool and a cheering section around. The TV room was another favorite gathering place where we rooted in vain for the Giants to win. And finally the large dining table and counter with barstools held all of us comfortably as we prepared and ate our meals Thanks so much for making our stay so wonderful!

We had a mini family reunion with 8 adults in California, including 3 nights in this wonderful, clean, interesting, historic home. The owners have transformed it into a a charming and welcoming getaway with plenty of room to spread out for eight people who occasionally like some privacy as well! The location is also terrific . . . walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants (try breakfast at Toastie's), and just a few minute drive to fabulous sightseeing and world class golf. We even took a horseback ride on the beach. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property.

Travelling form the UK to a wedding in Carmel. This house provided an excellent base for a fabulous few days. We enjoyed the freedom of using such a large house. Great Fun!

We traveled all the way from Geyserville Ca to pacific grove for our senior trip. The house was so much fun we will never forget it. We had live music from our band Los Gatos, awesome movie times, and fun pool tournaments. We also met ruffle duffle and little orphanita, who we will never forget. But most of all we made everlasting memories, and our hearts will all ways and forever be in pacific grove. Till next time from the Senior class of 2011.

Altogether we had 10 people staying here and it was wonderful! We couldn't have had a better time! It was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and had a ton of charm! The online pictures don't do it justice! We had such a great time that we seriously contemplated buying a place and never going home! Thank you for such a great trip and vacation! We'll be back!

Great house, only blocks from adorable downtown Pacific Grove, and the beach. The trail along the beach that ran all the way to the aquarium and beyond was the highlight of the trip! Mornings began with walking the dog downtown, getting coffee and walking down to the beach. The house was great, the layout is fantastic for teens and older kids, with lots of space for everyone to do their own thing or congregate in one room. House had all the amenities necessary, and whatever we needed was a short walk away to the little store down the street.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, families with teenagers.

My daughter was getting married in Pacific Grove. We had family coming from all over the country. It has been 40 years since my family and my wife's family sat under the same roof and shared a meal together. This house is so big, everyone could fit in here. The kitchen is well stocked. I cooked breakfast and dinner for the whole crew, we sat and ate together, laughed together and it was a unique experience. If you have a large group and you enjoy cooking, this house is a value. The owners go out of their way to making this a wonderful experience.
