It's difficult to decide where to start this review. John and Karen made us feel like we were family. They welcomed us to Boston and to the area and to their home with open arms. They made and delivered a great breakfast every day, they had great and insightful recommendations for us regarding restaurant s and places to visit. They even drove my wife to the start of the Boston Marathon. The houseboat was the perfect size to accommodate us and had everything we needed and more, a stocked refrigerator. The boat rocked us to sleep every night and protected us from the hustle and bustle of the city, but convenient to the many modes of transportation. We would definitely stay there again. It was a great 2 weeks with Karen and John and we are anxious to stay on their 2 new yachts.

The Green Turtle was everything we expected and more. The Inn was easy to find by car and would be very easy by water taxi from the airport. Our room was luxuriously comfortable and we slept like babies with the boat rocking us to sleep each night. Other than the sound of the ocean the boat was very quiet with no city noise even though the city was just across the harbour. We were brought a great breakfast each morning. The Inn is within walking distance of the ferry, bus route, tours and the North End. We will definitely return for many visits to come.

This place was an absolute gem and turned out to be the unexpected highlight of our trip to the States ,so much so that my husband was very reluctant to leave!! The suites are beautifully and thoughtfully furnished right down to those little extras like snacks for your afternoon drink on the pier. Karen and Jon were such delightful hosts who catered for your every need and made our stay so special. We have recommended the Green Turtle to so many people back here in Australia and to those we met on our trip. Not to be missed! Cushla and Ian

Wow, this place is amazing, we stayed 5 nights, June 11th - 16th 2010. The innkeepers ensure your holiday expectations are met and totally exceeded. The decor, the brilliant breakfasts, the house boat itself are outstanding. The bed was so comfy, in fact imagine being gently rocked to sleep, how better can it get. Ideal location to get everywhere in Boston. Can also recommend the super duck upper deck trolley, shows all the points of interest. We will most certainly return!

We live in Boston proper but were looking for a change pf scenery without too much travel hassle. Someone in the office suggested the Green Turtle B&B and it fit the bill perfectly. The weather was gorgeous, we sat out on the floating dock and fell asleep in the sun and to the gentle lull of the water. The room itself is simple and perfect. High quality linens, coffee, and simple breakfast of an egg/bacon sandwich. We slept like babies and loved interacting with the community of full-time boaters. Highly recommend this as a getaway - even if you live in Boston. You will love the view of Boston and feel like you went away.

We arrived at the pier and Jon greeted us, explained how everything worked and Karen greeted us on the boat house and explained transportation into Boston, very easy we took the ferry which cost us $1.70 each way what a deal to get into Boston. My husband spent his 40th B-Day and it's one he will not forget. B&B was everything and more, it was a wonderful way to go to sleep and a beautiful way to wake up. The view of Boston from the Boat was spectacular and the location was perfect. The B&B was very clean and quiet everything you would need and want was there. The boat was far enough but yet very close to all of Boston's activities and restaurants. We are looking forward to sharing another 40 birthdays there.....

Even though we live 20 miles north of Boston our stay at the Green Turtle was just what the Doctor ordered. Beautiful views and a wonderful walk last night to the North End was heavenly. Perfect weather for January was an extra bonus. The hospitality made our stay bring out the comforts of home. Everything from the snacks, comfortable bed, coffee on the dock and being cradled in a house on water was to put simply "very relaxing". We just loved our stay

I stayed at the Green Turtle for a total of several weeks spread out over December - March. The inn is charming and lovely and located in an incredibly peaceful, relaxing setting only a short boat or bus ride, or walk, from downtown Boston, the skyline of which sits impressively across the harbor. The rooms are well-appointed, efficiently laid out and infinitely comfortable, reflecting the innkeepers' impressive attention to detail and general warmth and thoughtfulness. Everything one could possibly need is provided: from the strong shower and luxurious bed to the wine glasses and cheese board. The included wireless service is a particularly welcome touch. The Green Turtle is a gem - close to the action if you want it, but providing a cozy, private retreat if you need a break from it all.

Where do we start?? What a fantastic way to start a holiday. The Green Turtle was everything it promised to be - and more! We enjoyed every moment of our stay there, from arriving in a water taxi from the airport to leaving with a fond farewell from Karen. The Green Turtle was beautifully laid out and soooooooo very comfortable (in fact the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in). The attention to detail was first class. The location of the houseboat was also first class. Karen (a tremendous hostess) and the 'neighbours' couldn't have been nicer or more friendly - even lending us their GPS having only known us for a very short time - it was difficult to drag ourselves away. Those breakfasts that were favourably reviewed lived up to their reputation - scrumptious!! The location was fantastic, easy to use the ferry into downtown Boston which was incredible and so very much more. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Green Turtle to anyone, we will remember it fondly - forever! An ideal way to celebrate an way to celebrate a very speical occasion. Given the opportunity - we'll be back!!!!!!!

The Green Turtle is exactly what it says a floating bed and breakfast. The facilities are first class from the quality of the breakfast, the bedroom sitting room kitchenette and bathroom. Each of the two rooms available are separated by a hall way which means you do not know your neighbours are there if you do not want to. The availability of WIFI is a plus. The breakfast is excellent and varied daily. The room was cleaned daily and fridge, coffee, snacks, etc. replenished. The view of the harbour and nearby city downtown is fantastic and most city hotels would fail to match it. You can relax on the marina and watch the ships and yachts go by if you so wish. The location is perfect for exploring Boston. It is near enough to walk to the T or take a water taxi and far enough to be out of the busy city centre environment. Probably the best thing about the Green Turtle are the people, not just John, Karen, Mary and Artie but all the residents and guests on the marina who make you feel and home and part of their community. This is customer service at its best. If you worry about movement on a house boat this is a minor issue given its mooring and the bed is so luxurious that any motion is eliminated. We stayed for 10 nights and cannot praise the Green Turtle and its owners enough. The overall marina facility is secure and safe. If you are planning on visiting the Boston area then this is the perfect location and worth every penny.

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to stay in this delightful B&B for four nights. The location was perfect for us as we could sit on the dock and view Boston across the harbor. We took the 10 minute ferry ride to Boston whenever we wanted to explore and could return to the suite the same way or walk across the Charlestown bridge. The Karen, John and Artie (the owners) live close by in their boats and couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay. The breakfast each morning was perfect. We are both vegitarians and the breakfasts we excellent. The suite is nicely decorated and extremely clean. We will definately stay here again when we return. Thanks for everything.

Never have I been away from home and felt so at home. The owners make sure nothing is missed right down to accomodating our lost souls in boston at 11:30 at night. Couldn't ask for nicer people. The bed is very comfortable. its so nice sleeping on the water. The most restful sleep you will ever have. The baked goods are awesome. We will definitely be back. The price was fair, as we stayed before the summer rates. Excellent time had at your house on the water!

Having been lucky enough to stay here for a month, I can't imagine being able to leave in less time! The sunrises over East Boston, tugboats and tankers passing silently by, the city lit up at night (my version of a Christmas tree this December) and mostly gentle rocking to sleep have made my stay here simply enchanting! I can't wait to return next summer to enjoy a cold beer on the dock. Thank you for your warm hospitality and this amazing spot.

We had a nice time at the Green Turtle. Our stay was great. The room was elegant and spotless clean. The bed was very comfortable. Privacy and security are important to us and the Green Turtle provided that with our own entrance and bath. The Innkeepers are right there with excellent service. The view of the Boston skyline is right there while you look out the window or sit and relax on the dock. A short walk brought us next to the USS Constitution and we took the "T" water ferry right over to the Aquarium and spent time at Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market shopping and sight seeing. But the best time was relaxing at the Green Turtle. Our innkeepers were very gracious and all our needs were taken care of. Boston is a city full of history and interesting sights which we have visited many times but we have never experienced from this unique marina setting.

We absolutely loved the idea of a floating bed and breakfast, and the gorgeous decorating really made this place feel like home. The goodies in the frig and delicious baked goods left outside our door contributed to that homey feeling. Our stay was definitely too short and we will be back and we will send our friends too!
