  I stayed here for four nights with three friends (all female). It was our third time visiting Lisbon and easily the best apartment we've stayed in. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Chiado shopping district and an easy walk to Baixa, the Bairro Alto, the waterfront, etc. In addition to being very central, it also felt very safe. The lift was a huge bonus as it meant no lugging of heavy suitcases up and down several flights of stairs. The apartment itself was very clean, well equipped (even has a washing machine) and comfortable. The two big sofas were ideal for lounging when we weren't out exploring. From one of the windows there is a lovely view of the cathedral in the distance. The only (tiny) fault we could find with the apartment was that there were no hooks in the smaller of the two bathrooms, which meant nowhere to hang towels, etc. - a minor nuisance that would be very easy to remedy! Siliva, who met us on arrival, was very efficient and helpful. She anticipated that we might need taxis for the airport on the day of departure, noted the times and sent us an email that afternoon to confirm that they had been ordered. The apartment has wifi and also a phone for incoming calls, which we didn't need but could come in handy. In short, a great place to stay in Lisbon - highly recommended!

  Clean, ample space, well appointed are just a few of the ways to describe this apartment. The location could not have been more convenient. Taxis available at all times. Shopping for groceries and just about anything else within a short walking district. Chic elegant neighborhood. The apartment was clean and provided all items necessary to make our stay comfortable and convenient. Will definitely return I my next trip to Lisbon.

  Staying at 26 Rue Garrett for 3 days was absolutely wonderful. Our experience there surpassed our expectations. The apartment was described perfectly in the listing. It was beautifully decorated, well-equipped, clean and well-maintained. Mifalda, Paolo's associate, was there to greet us with a hearty welcome and a grand tour of the apartment. She was bubbly, warm and full of information. The location was phenomenal !! We loved the neighborhood, the restaurants, the convenience of having everything we needed so closeby. We ate at Sacramento, a fantastic restaurant right around the corner on Sacramento Street. We sat and ate at the outdoor cafes along Rue Garrett. We took a quick cab ride to the Gulbenkian Museum, which we loved. We and the friends we shared the apartment with would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. We hope that we have the opportunity to stay there again in the future. Paolo, the owner was friendly and very responsive to a small problem we had with the air conditioning. He came right over and solved the problem.

  The apartment was clean as could be and exactly as advertised. We are a family of four, two teenagers and it worked perfectly. The location was absolutely perfect. We walked to almost everything including meals, shopping and sights. The tram was a couple of blocks away. The energy in the neighborhood was great and fun! The company that rented to us was very helpful with names of restaurants, maps, suggestions- even called us a cab for our early departure to the airport. They were lovely. Our only complaint was a faulty air conditioning system which did wake us up at night when it went off. This is the only reason for my "good" and not "excellent" rating. Otherwise, we loved it all and would definitely recommend the apartment.

  I recently stayed at this lovely apartment with my husband, son (8 months), mother, and father. It was a perfect location for sightseeing as it was centrally located and close to stores, cafes, restaurants, and museums. It was spacious enough for the 5 of us and they even provided a crib for the baby. It had everything we needed: air conditioning, internet access, washer/dryer, and an elevator. Paulo and Sylvia were incredibly friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this apartment to almost anyone. We can't wait to return!

  Stayed for 5 days here at this wonderful, spacious apartment. The location is absolutely perfect. Few breaths away to the coolest shops, mall, cafes, everything. If we ever need to take the train, we just have to go few steps to the right, if we need taxi, it's just few steps to the left. The apartment is well kept, and has all the facilities we need ; iron, washing machine, hair dryer, towels, wi-fi,...and ELEVATOR. (believe me, after searching thousands of apartments online in Lisbon it is pretty tough to get an apartment with great location, great price AND elevator). Paulo and Silvia have been great with us and made sure that our entire stay is worry-free. Love that the apartment has so many balcony doors, we didn't even use the air-con because the breeze was enough to ventilate the entire place. I'll definitely stay in this apartment again if I ever come visit Lisbon again...Thank you Paulo and Silvia, we are so lucky to have found your apt!

  We stayed in this excellent apartment situated on Rua Garrett for a fortnight. It sits between Chiado, Baixa and the Bairro Alto making it a brilliant base for exploring many of Lisbon's highlights on foot. The apartment was well appointed, very clean and the furnishings were in good condition. For us as a couple the apartment was extremely spacious and there would have been plenty of room for a couple of friends! The communication with Paulo was prompt and informative and Sylvia was very helpful. The transport links were very good and Sylvia gave us a good tip about getting a renewable travel card which saved us some money. Although the city is hilly you can save some energy by careful use of elevators and escalators. We found the shopping centre one useful when returning after a tiring day!There are numerous restaurants and cafes in the area which we enjoyed, and there is a very high standard of street music to be enjoyed (mostly). Highlights of our visit were the Carmo Convent and the Gulbenkian Museum but there are so any delights in the city that we didn't get round them all. We would certainly recommend this apartment and would use Chiado apartments again next time we are in Lisbon.

  My wife and I were first timers to Lisbon in late March, 2012, arriving after a 10 day transatlantic cruise, and we were somewhat apprehensive about our booking and stay in the 2 bedroom flat that was managed by Paulo and Sylvia on Rua Garrett in Chiado. In the end, we could not have been happier with our choice. Paulo was very accommodating in the booking process, assuring us we would be very satisfied with his flat and being very flexible with the payment process. With this being our first time in Lisbon, we were very concerned with finding the best choices to eat, drink and be merry. That concern was never realized as Sylvia was very knowledgeable in all things concerning Lisbon, even making sure that we took a day to visit Cintra (another "must go" for anyone finding themselves in this part of the world). She had great restaurant recommendations in a city where food is King. The flat itself was spacious, with an open concept living room/dining room and 2 very adequate bedrooms (one of which we used to store all the luggage). The feature we found most appealing, however, was the wrap around balcony that we spent lots of time with a glass of local wine just "people watching" on the streets below. The very minor drawbacks included somewhat insufficient lighting in the baths (although we got used to it) and too little dishwashing and laundry detergents for the time we were there. In defense of Sylvia, she delivered more when asked. All and All, we will be back to Lisbon and we will definitely stay with Paulo and Sylvia.

  The apartment is wonderful and perfectly located in the center of the city. It was perfectly cleaned and the kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to cook for the kids. There is also a dishwasher so you don't have to bother with dish washing. The apartment is even better than in the photos with two bathrooms. There is also a free wifi connection that is an advatage. Nearby you can find plenty of restaurants, a supermarket just a few minutes away and a wonderful bakery just round the corner. Everything was perfect and we had a wonderful stay. I definitely recommend it.
