This four-season expansive house has a spacious living area, five good-sized bedrooms and 3 baths. Fully equipped kitchen features a granite-topped island and corian countertops. Has open-spaced dining and living rooms, with field-stone fireplace and card-playing area. First floor bedroom has double bed and a double futon. Second floor has a bedroom with king-sized bed; one room with a double bed; and two rooms each with a set of twin beds. Master bedroom has deck overlooking the lake. Stay where Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward lived while filming Empire Falls.
The large finished basement has a double futon, an air hockey table, TV viewing area, refrigerator and bar. The two-level deck has two dining tables and an informal seating area to view one of the calmest sections of the lake. Two charcoal grills are available. Has 3 car garage and ample parking.
The sandy beach with shallow inlet is ideal for small children. The kayaks and canoes provided are great for enjoying the lake or you can bring your own boat. The dock seats six comfortably with plenty of room to tie up boats. Nice yard has a hammock and plenty of Adirondack chairs to place on the dock, fire pit, or deck.

This house has all of the modern amenities, where vacationers can completely relax and need only worry about which part of Great Pond to investigate for the day. Boats (1 canoe, 2 single kayaks, and 1 double kayak)are provided. A bird estuary is within paddling distance. Airplane tours are available, taking off from Great Pond. If available, you can motor into the town of Belgrade Lakes for a morning paper, a cup of coffee, or fudge at the local grocery store. The town of Belgrade Lakes also has an internet café, gift shops, and a wonderful Sunday morning farmers market. The Belgrade Lakes Golf Club, which is the only five-star public golf course in Maine, is only 15 minutes away. Waterville is 20 minutes away, with movie theaters, health food and retail stores, restaurants and Colby College, which has a fabulous art museum that features many well-known Maine artists....morecollapse
