This 800 sq. ft. house retains some period fixtures from when it was built in the 30’s but it has been updated for modern comfort. The house is furnished with new and vintage furniture and Southwestern art. Our guests have included families, couples and singles.
The house is located in the heart of Tucson’s furniture district, which is also home to art galleries and garden stores.
This is a very central location from which to explore all of Tucson’s attractions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Tucson and we were extremely comfortable in the Bunkhouse. The hosts do an excellent job of stocking the bunkhouse with every essential and many additional comforts. The house is very quiet while being very central. There are many great eating and shopping venues right around each corner. We couldn't imagine a better value anywhere in Tucson. Wonderful hosts and a wonderful cottage in a beautiful garden setting. The fresh citrus was an extra bonus!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Thank you for your kind words.

I can't believe what you get for your money at this delightfully homey casita in the desert--delicious organic grapefruit and oranges to eat, a fully stocked kitchen in which to cook or serve up Tucson's fabulous Mexican take-out, luxuriously comfortable beds, and fabulous western appointments that make you feel like you are family. Comfortable, clean, great central location that makes it easy to get all over Tucson, and an all-round great property. You feel like you are in your own little desert haven with lots of privacy while being in the center of town. Great place, helpful hosts, very nice. I definitely recommend this place.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This is a very comfortable casita located very close to both the Rillito River Bike/Walk path and the University district. We stayed for a month in 2008 and loved our visit, we were able to bike everywhere we wanted to go It is set up with care by the owner so all you need for housekeeping is available. What is particularly nice is the home is decorated with lovely artwork and furnishing.Did you find this review helpful? I stayed in this house in summer of 2008. The hosts made me feel very welcome and cared for with many special extras. The beds are comfortable and the facilities also (very important in Arizona).Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
