The house has vaulted ceilings in the main living/dining area. The entire house has wood floors, and the master suite on the main level has wood walls as well. There is a stone fireplace, Corian counter tops in the kitchen, a separate card playing area and a grilling deck.
In addition there are two big decks 52'x10' with porch furniture to enjoy sitting or eating outside. The bedrooms are spacious and can accommodate air mattresses or sleeping bags for kids. Along with 2 master suites with full baths is a Jack & Jill bath with a separate toilet on either side. There is a half bath on the main level. The master bedroom is on the main level.
This house can be enjoyed in the summer months with hours of sunning or swimming from a large dock 20feet X 26feet(approximately 50 yards on a gradual gravel path to the dock) or sitting around a blazing fire in the winter. The dock is shared with one other cabin, which is also available for rent for larger groups.

This is a wonderful place to spend time with family. We were there for a family wedding and really enjoyed it. The house is so well appointed: mattresses are excellent; furniture is comfortable and clean; kitchen is well stocked with everything one would need for cooking. The "Mac's" were overly accommodating, and if ever we go back, I will definitely try to reserve their home again. One note of caution: we were in a big crew cab truck and turning into the drive was difficult. We found it best to back into the driveway. Next time we'll drive a smaller car. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely home.

We loved our stay at Lake Nantahala! The lake is gorgeous. The house is beautiful -- new, very clean, very comfortable & well-appointed. We had everything we needed. Our 7 and 9 yo children loved the house, surrounding property, and swimming off the spacious dock. The canoe and pontoon were an added bonus. We hope to come back!

Rented this home for a week's vacation!! Found it to be exactly as described on this site. Excellant accomadations. We found it to be very peaceful to enjoy our coffee on the deck in the morning while watching the hummingbirds feed. The pontoon boat was another plus. It was a joy to be able to venture out on beautiful Lake Nantahala.

This beautiful home has every amenity that you could possibly want! All of the bedrooms are fit for a king and there is room to spare. The modern kitchen is to die for. A short winding trail leads to the crystal clear lake and the owners provide a canoe and pontoon boat so you can enjoy it to the MAX! We spent many an evening grilling out and relaxing on the huge deck overlooking the forest and lake. It was so peaceful and quiet, and the surrounding landscape provided numerous hiking trails and/or places to stroll. We loved the nearby whitewater rafting which can be as wild or tame as you wish, and the Rivers End Restaurant at the takeout is the perfect ending to a fun day. This is a place that you and your family will want to return to year after year. No log cabin here; this is a home that you would love to call your primary residence! Bonus: it was at least 10 degrees cooler here in July than it was in Atlanta . . . which alone made our visit a big hit with everyone!
