Our cottage is located on the St.Lawrence River at Schermerhorn Landing in the Thousand Islands. The cottage is on an Island across from Schermerhorn Landing and requires a boat to get there.
Pets Welcome. We dont mind a dog or two, as long as the dog is not a vicious breed. We have neighbors, who have dogs. We want compatibility. If you wish to bring along a dog, please consult with us first.
Schermerhorn Landing is an ideal vacation area and provides additional amenities for your use. The waterfront area, in front of the cottage is not suitable for swimming. At Schermerhorn is a convenience store, full service marina, parking and marine gas pumps, as well as Wi-Fi Internet service.
We encourage you to bring your own boat. Our dock can accommodate up to 24' boats. Boat rentals are available at Schermerhorn. They have pontoon boats and small bass boats. You need to reserve one in advance. We do not provide use of our dock slip @ Schermerhorn Landing.
Our cottage has 3 bedrooms, located upstairs. All are newly finished in Knotty Pine. 2 of the rooms have new, queen sized beds. The 3rd room has 2 twin beds. Two more people may sleep on the sofa sleeper in the living room. All rooms are equipped with fans.
Down stairs features a "fully equipped" kitchen. Gas stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, cabinets and plenty of counter space along with a pantry. An additional refrigerator/freezer is located on the rear deck, great for storing liquids. Coffee maker, coffee grinder and complete array of utensils / dishes / silverware are included.
Downstairs also features a separate living room with fireplace, furniture and TV/DVD/VCR. We have DirectTV.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a large family room, complete with Bar (Not Stocked).
The cottage has 1 bathroom with shower. Very spacious and well lit.
Outside we have a large spacious deck with outside dining table & chairs. We also have additional Adirondack Chairs for your relaxation. The gas barbecue is conveniently located on the deck.
A fire pit is not far off the deck for an evening campfire. Wood supplied.
Our family and friends has spent many enjoyable days here. We are making available appox half of the available weeks. We still want to enjoy time here ourselves.
When you are not at the cottage, there are a lot of things to do, such as Boating, Jet Skiing, Fishing, Dining, shopping and boat tours. Grocery store & Kinney Drug Store in Alexandria Bay. Hair & Nail Salon at Schermerhorn Lndg. Public Golf course & Library.
Our goal is make your week at our cottage the best possible. We live in Syracuse (90 min). We are close by to respond to any adverse situation.
