My family was looking to get away to a place near the beach and this condo was the perfect spot! We have 2 children and they were very pleased to have their own rooms with their own televisions and we were very pleased to have a stunning master bedroom where you could relax and hear the ocean. The condo is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful kitchen with everything that you could possibly need. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach everyday and going to Disneyland in the evening!! Yes, we went to Disneyland four evenings in a row! The kids thought it was the best week ever and we look forward to making it an end of summer tradition!

Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Perfect getaway for a family

The pictures do not do this condo justice, it was stunning. We spent a month here this summer and had a wonderful time, walking distance to the beach and not far from many resturants, Salt Creek Grille was a favorite as was Stacks. The condo was very well kept and the kitchen had everything we needed. I would highly recommed this condo to a friend we will definatly be going back next summer. The owner is very helpful and prompt in returning calls. There were 6 of us sleeping here, 4 were children, and we had plenty of space.

Nothing short of lovely

Our family (two adults, two young kids) were completely at home during our week-long getaway in Dana Point, thanks to this tastefully and comfortably appointed condo with views true to the photos. The amenities were perfect and plentiful for adults and children alike. The rental process and follow-up were seamless and professional. We enjoyed downtime at the pool (very short walk away), the beach (short walk overall but on the longer side for toddlers/preschoolers, be sure to have a stroller depending on the situation) and other nearby attractions including Dana Point harbor for dolphin/whale-watching cruises and sailing charters and Disneyland for our young ones, just a 35-45min drive away. Getting groceries, eating out in the greater Dana Point/Laguna/Newport area, shopping and other errands were easily accomplished too given the very convenient location. You would be hard pressed to not enjoy a stay at this lovely condo and locale, there are things for all ages and interests.

A True Gem

Never would I have ever thought, that with a click of a button here on the East Coast, I'd be booking one of the most amazing vacation spots ever! I could not have hit it better if I tried. When my family and I arrived we were in awe, the condo is simply beautiful decorated with total comfort in mind, it's all about relaxing for sure. The views from the patio are breathless, some of the most incredible sunsets settled right in front of us. Hummingbirds visited every morning while we sat on the back veranda having coffee and watched the boats go by. Dana Point is just a lovely area, with great little restaurants right near by, and one of our greatest evenings after walking the beach was having drinks next door on the rooftop Terrace of the Ritz Carlton...just breathtaking. The location of the condo allowed us to visit many of the nearby beaches within a quick car ride, but I'd have to be honest and say the Cove at Dana Point was one of the most beautiful. My kids actually made it to the Caves - and loved the exploring. The amenities of the condo complex i.e. the pool and hot tub made it complete after a day at the ocean. The grounds were so meticulously kept, the flowers, trees and growth were just beautiful to view during daily walks. Every morning we took hikes at the Strand, where the lookout points allows one to sit and just take in the Southern California views, one nicer than the other. We will definitely be coming back - my kids - ages 24 -15 can't wait! We had the greatest time ever. Bev, thank you so much for opening up your home to us, it's created memories that we'll treasure forever.

Fabulous Location + Meticulous Interior + The Best of Southern California = A Vacation We Look Forward To Returning! Who knew this tucked away little gem would become our favorite California vacation spot? No, it is not right on the beach, because there is a row of multi-million-dollar beach-front mansions by the water, but this property’s location cannot be better positioned because it is perfectly on top of a small hill that gives it a marvelous ocean view that any luxury hotel would charge a leg and arm for. Two exits onto the gorgeous Dana Point beach are within 3-minute walking distance. In the beautiful autumn weather, every day we enjoyed swimming in the ocean, running on the boardwalk, exploring the hillsides off the beach, and strolling in the charming neighborhood. We especially loved taking a dolphin and whale watch tour right off the beach in front of the property – within only one mile off the shore we saw hundreds of wild dolphins and even two gigantic mommy and baby blue whales! Staying at the property feels completely like home. Not only do we have our own covered parking, we also have access to the swimming pool. With a long list of fine restaurants and so many other wonderful places of interest nearby, one is tempted to live here :-)

My wife and I recently took a west coast vacation from LA, Palm Springs, to OC. The highlight of our trip was the stay at Beverly and Paul's Dana Point property. The location is unbeatable – we can see the deep blue Pacific Ocean from not only the balcony over cocktails but also the bedroom while lying down! The neighborhood is both quiet and high end, while the pristine beach is a short stroll away. A look at the map, anyone will recognize just how perfectly situated this property is; but it is the interior finishes that are hard to appreciate without physically being there. The owners have clearly taken not just great care but equal pride in decorating this beautiful property. Throughout, one feels surrounded by a professional designer’s fine touches. From the living room to bathroom, from the kitchen appliances to home electronics, to call it 5-star hotel quality is an understatement, because it is hard to imagine it is a vacation property rather than someone’s main residence. We loved the whole experience!
