My family of four recently stayed at this condo for 10 days and could not have been happier. The view of the ocean allowed us to see whales every day (binoculars made it even better). The condo is well maintained, has everything you need to prepare meals at home (which saves a lot of money), the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of room for everyone. Living in the condo made us feel like residents rather than tourists, there is privacy and it is quiet. Designated parking space is a plus. The beach is an easy walk. The location in Kihei is perfect for exploring the entire island, no destination is "too far". Driving to Kahului was easy where Costco, WalMart, KMart and many other chain stores and restuarants are available. The listing is detailed and accurate. Do not hesitate to rent here if your itinerary takes you to Maui, and believe me, it should.

When I first reviewed this property on VRBO, I thought the pictures were totally beautiful, little did I know that when I saw it for myself, just how perfect it really was! It is really hard to describe just how wonderful this condo really is. I felt so comfortable, unlike a hotel. There were five of us, all women, and we all had plenty of room to do what ever we wanted and never felt as if the place was to small. The owner is a very down to earth person and made sure every question or concern I may have had was answered quickly, even after we left. I have told anybody and everyone that if they go to Maui, they really need to stay here. The access to the beach was perfect and within walking distance of many great resturants and shops. There is even a bus stop located really close. I would definitely love to stay here again when I return to this island. Thank you both for opening your home to us and making us have a wonderful home away from home!

The ammenities, and location of this property made our trip very comfortable, and safe. Being walking distance from the beach, made it possible to witness many sunsets. The peace, and tranquility of the complex makes it very easy to to relax... What a FANTASTIC place to stay! From the moment you step through the door of this wonderful condo, you will feel welcomed, comfortable, and lucky to be there. If you want a place that is very private, quiet, clean, and comfortable, then this place is for you. The owners have done a superb job of making their island home the perfect place for your Maui stay. Working with Joseph was a pleasure--he was courteous, helpful, thoughtful, and prompt in all communications. He truly wanted us to enjoy our stay, and it showed in every aspect. The condo is exactly as advertised; actually, the photos don't really do it enough justice. Everything was immaculate and worked great. The kitchen was well-stocked with all appliances, cookware, and dishware that you could need. The large living room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the high, vaulted ceilings were a treat. Throughout the condo there were very tasteful, attractive furnishings. There were even several board games and books available next to the second bedroom, as well as a cooler, beach toys, and beach towels for use. The large master bathroom was super to use--double sinks really come in handy. In the living room there is a large "welcome" binder, chock-full of information. Thoughtfully included in it are menus of many local eating places, as well as suggested activities, local stores, and MUCH more! We couldn't get enough of the great views of the West Maui Mountains. I found myself always staring out the many, large windows, as well as sitting on the breezy lanai as much as I possibly could! The only sounds we heard were of tree-trimmers giving the palm trees a tidying up, plus the tropical birds. At 5 a.m., you will not mind them--they are delightful to hear, and you get used to them. At any rate, I wanted to get up early--I wanted to enjoy every single minute I could and didn't want to sleep long since I might miss something. I wanted to drink it all in when at the condo and not out doing activities! The building is scrupulously maintained--every day we saw the groundskeeper many times. One of Maui's best beaches, Kam III Beach Park, is a two-minute walk from your door, great for wading into the water, exploring the tidepools (fascinating!), or snorkeling. You can walk to several restaurants. We particularly liked Cafe O'Lei. (Try the Asian-Braised Shortribs.) We also grilled local fresh fish by the pool and then ate on the lanai. "Mahalo nui loa," Joseph and Marlowe!

outstaning condo

This was our first time staying at a condo on vacation and this condo was a winner.The condo had everythiing we needed and more. The kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed and the rest of the condo nicely decorated as well. We ate breakfast every morning outside on the lanai and just observed the breath taking views. Several restuarants and the beach are in walking distant. The weather was great, we had no rain at all and the temperature was about 85 each day, who could ask for more. Our only concern was that the hot water heater couldn't keep up with everyone taking showers, we had to give it time to recover.

Exceptional Condo!

Hello Joseph, We are back in rainy Vancouver after spending 11 nights at your incredible condo in Kihei! Everything we needed was there as said in the listing discription, only it was better! The photos do not do the property justice, the high ceilings and decor made it feel like our home. The property is clean and very well maintained and very nicely remodelled. You were very good to deal with from the first time you called me at home, to the nice welcoming phone call at the condo the day we arrived to make sure everything was as we expected, that was very nice! The condo is on a busy street, but this unit is set far enough back from S. Kihei road that you don't get the traffic noise but you also don't loose a view. We had a great view of the sunset everynight from the lanai. We snorkled everyday sometimes right down the street ( east walk even with all the "equipment!), but most times we drove to some of the most amazing beaches! Olowalu Beach by far the most amazing snorkleing! The water was crystal clear, the coral was HUGH and very colourful. I rented a kayak there from Olowalu Kayak's and saw reef sharks, whales and a "turtle cleaning" dock as my guide told me this is where the turtles come to be cleaned by the fish. Other great snorkle beaches are Ulua/Mokapu and Polo Beaches. The only beach we did not get to this time was La Perouse, which I heard is the absolute best snorkling beach and worth the effort to get there, but go early! We did find that Food Land was the best and cheapest place for groceries other than Costco! Costco had the best fresh fish at very good prices you can't beat. Make sure you stop in there on your way to the condo, it is right at the airport very easy to get to. We did choose to eat at the condo more that out but a night at Fred's is a must! We also had a fantastic dinner at Mala Wailea at the Marriot, very, very good! Without a doubt, we highly reccomend this propery, it has been the best condo we have rented in the last 4 years we have gone to Hawaii. Mahalo Joseph & Marlowe, we'll be back next year!

BEAUTIFUL CONDO!

When my husband and I walked through the door, our first words were “WOW!” We were impressed with: the cleanliness; tastefully decorated; very open and spacious with high vaulted ceilings; large master bedroom and bathroom; large lanai and windows all along the one side of the room with a spectacular view of the ocean, mountains and pool and garden area down below; and the kitchen well stocked with dishes and cookware. Be prepared to wake up to the sounds of birds at 5:00 AM, but this adds to the charm of Maui. The condo is very close to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We loved it! Thank you, Joseph and Marlowe, for sharing a piece of your paradise. We definitely would recommend your place to family and friends and we hope to return soon.

The most striking thing about this condo is how tastefully decorated and unusually clean it is. During our stay, two couples shared this condo and found it very comfortable. The beautiful "sliding wall" makes the second bedroom and adjoining bathroom a private space at night, but can be opened for spaciousness during the day. The vaulted ceilings are beautiful and make the condo feel spacious. The lanai is the best in the complex as it is on a fourth floor corner. it overlooks the pool and the ocean beyond. It is a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal. We are avid cooks and found everything we needed for any dish we chose to prepare, yet the cabinets are well organized and not over-full. In fact, at every turn we found things that we found helpful: a cooler, beach chairs, umbrellas, and even a garlic press! Inside the condo is a binder full of information about the condo and its features including "how-to" info for the TV, etc. It also provides info about the local area and Maui in general. Reading it on arrival made life much easier for us. Joseph, the owner, makes renting this condo a pleasant experience in every way. He is the friendliest, most efficient and conscientious owner I have ever had the privilege to work with. One call to him sealed the deal for us--what a great guy. In summation, we highly recommend this condo and are definitely planning another stay there ourselves. Enjoy!

Lovely Maui Home

My sister and I spent a heavenly week in Joseph's beautiful home. It's elegantly decorated with a nicely upgraded kitchen. The pictures don't do it justice! The penthouse level allows for a beautiful view and gorgeous sunsets, and the lanai was a peaceful place to relax and soak in the sweet Maui air. Even though the temperatures reached the low 80s in January, we didn't need the air conditioning because of the fresh tradewinds. We wondered how the shoji screen would work to give privacy to the second bedroom, and we were very pleased with its function and appearance. Joseph was just a phone call or e-mail away to answer questions and help with any problems, and the on-site managers were very responsive. The location is ideal for visiting great beaches, including the one right across the street (Cam III) for swimming, snorkeling and sunsets. The birds are a little noisy at sunset and early morning, but they are part of the Maui charm. We're keeping this one on our list! Mahalo, Joseph.

We stayed in this wonderfully updated and renovated unit with our two adult children. The main advantage to this property is the perfect location-directly across from Kihei's best beach areas. The common pool and BBQ areas are well utilized but well maintained. The spacious lanai has a great view and enough space for all four of us to comfortably take our meals outside, while thr vaulted ceilings add to the spacious feel of the living space. The entire unit had been renovated with great care and small touches like a mini soundsystem, desk area, and functional furniture. A big highlight is the amazingly well equipped kitchen, with every kitchen implement needed within reach and great new appliances. Waking up to the pleasant sound of morning bird calls is so nice-like being in a treehouse! We'll be back.

What a fabulous place to stay! As soon as we stepped foot through the door, we felt at ease. Everything is so clean, neat and beautiful. We loved the decor and style of it all. We noticed that even the tupperware was all tidy. We were very impressed with the place. No complaints. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this place to anybody. Whether you're trying to have a romantic getaway or simply taking your family out on a much needed vacation, this place is perfect! Foodland is about five minutes away so we right away went grocery shopping and stocked up for the week. It was great. Additionally, the beach is walking distance away which made it very convenient. A couple of the nights, we walked to the beach after dinner to watch the sunset, although we were also able to watch it from our balcony! So beautiful. Also, the weather in Kihei is pretty consistent. We would drive to different parts of the island and often times, it would be windy but as soon as we'd return to Kihei, clear blue skies! Excellent location. Lastly, if you would like to know of a great place to eat near the condo, go to Kihei Cafe! It's about a mile and a half away. We went three times and we were only in Maui for five days! Order anything on the menu, you won't be disappointed, but the banana macadamia nut pancakes are a must!:) Wishing you all a great stay. Excellent property.We would highly recommend this property to relatives and friends.It has all the comforts of home,from a fully equipped kitchen and full sized LG washer and dryer, to flat screen TV.The condo was immaculately clean and very comfortable.The lanai offers fabulous sunsets and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy an evening meal. It is located centrally across from the beach ,close to stores and a few miles from Wailea. We really enjoyed our stay in your Maui home and cannot wait to return next year.

Great Condo with beautiful view

Location: Great location, 2 minutes walk from the beach, 5 minutes walk from shops and food, 5 minutes drive to a super market (foodland, make sure to apply for membership card to get the members discounts) and all the rest is in 10-30 minutes drive. Also according to the locals, the weather in Kehei is probably the best on the island with less chances of rain. Amenities: Excellent. The condo is equipped with everything you need, from kitchenware to beach equipment (towels, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, sand toys and more) Facilities: The condo looks like new and highly maintained and really feels like home. The washer and drayer in the unit were very convenient, We used the full kitchen to cook and even bake. The complex itslef has a very nice pool and BBQ area (including a grill). Bottom Line: The condo has everything you need for enjoying a nice and relaxing vacation in Maui

Perfect location, pretty much close to everything. Beach is in walking distance...so are restaurants. What you see on the listing photos is really how it looks...the master bath is much nicer than the pictures portray...it has a wonderful Lanai...The property is very well maintained. They even offer Avacados by the pool at the sitting area. We would definitely come back again. Nice neighbors too!

My husband and I, along with our 3 children spent a wonderful 3 weeks at Haleakala Shores this past summer. We found the condo to be just as described; a clean, spacious and comfortable 'home-away-from-home.' The kitchen is modern and well-stocked with dishes and cookware; the furniture attractive and the bathrooms bright and clean. The location is very good - directly across from Kamaole 3 beach - and the grounds around the complex are absolutely lovely. Being from a northern climate, we marvelled at the oranges and avocados hanging above us as we relaxed by the pool. Joseph is a very considerate 'host' and we would definitely be happy to rent his beautiful condo again in the future.

My wife and I spent almost 2 weeks in this unit and were very pleased with the accommodations. The place was as advertised and all the features were top notch right down to the toaster and the dishes. The owners obviously take pride in their place and it shows. We would stay there again without hesitation. Especially good sunset views and it's only a short walk to 2 great beaches. The pool is nice too!!

Family Vacation Haleakala Shores

We recently had the pleasure of spending April in Maui. We chose to stay at Haleakala Shores and it proved to be a great choice. The condo was even better than expected! It is immediatley obvious that the owners take great pride in their p property. We felt like we were staying in a friends home - not a commercial rental property. The condo is spacious and well appointed. With fresh paint everything is clean and tidy. The kitchen is a delight - I never once reached for any utensils that weren't there. The view while making meals is amazing. We were on vacation with our grandchildren and we have many happy memories of sitting on the lanai with them enjoying the view or watching them swim in the pool with their parents. The owners are great to deal with -very professional - but also friendly. If we find our way back to Maui in the future we will make this unit our first choice and have already recommended it to friends.

This is the nicest condo that we have stayed in. We were there from Oct 10 - Oct 27, 2009 and had a fabulous time. The condo was spotless and had all the conveniences of home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything to cook with and had all new appliances. The cupboards were stocked with dishes for inside and out, glasses, wine glasses etc. The kitchen was bright with beautiful cupboards and granite counter tops. The rest of the condo was spacious and very bright as it has windows all around. The beds were comfortable with very nice linens and lots of towels. The two bathrooms were also very nice. It is in a great location and is about a block from Kamole Beach III which is great for swimming, boogie boarding and snorkeling. I even swam with a sea turtle right beside me. What we also really liked was that no condo has connecting walls as each condo was separated by a walkway and all the hallways were open and the birds and trees were so tropical. The grounds were kept beautiful along with the pool and BBQ's. Best of all the owner is a great person to deal with and if any problems will look after them right away. We loved this condo and will certainly return.

We've stayed in many condos in the Kihei area of Maui over the last 15 years and this is by far the nicest. Unlike most condos, there is lots of natural light and great ventilation. It feels like you're experiencing Maui without having to go outdoors! We can't wait to come back here soon.

We recently spent a week in this relaxing Kihei condo. The sunsets made you want to spend time on the lanai watching the beautiful colors as the sun went down. There is a family beach across the street great for swimming, nature walks, as well as boogie boarding. The pool is soothing after a day at the beach. The beds are very comfortable and a sea breeze cools you as you sleep. We would highly recommend staying at this condo to experience the pleasures of Maui.

This location was the perfect place for us to enjoy part of our adventure in Hawaii with our son. We have never been to Maui and we loved it.... The condo is lovely and comfortable and we settled in nicely. The weather was perfect.
