Our spacious art-filled primary home in the Berkeley hills is supremely comfortable, full of light and a pleasure in all seasons. Beautiful living room with fireplace and canyon view, large comfortable dining room, eat-in kitchen with doors opening to a private deck.
Enjoy the master bedroom/sitting room with king-size bed, fireplace and French doors opening to the garden terrace, the sybaritic 2-person master bath with its own deck, a second bedroom with queen-size bed and view of treetops, the book-filled library/TV room (which can be fitted for use as a 3rd bedroom), a large office with 2 desks, file cabinet, printers and fax, wi-fi throughout, and a second full bath. Laundry room with washer/dryer, garage with automatic opener. Excellent quality linens, kitchen ware, tableware supplied. Responsible house cleaner available at extra cost.
We are within easy distance of UC Berkeley: about 1 1/2 miles if you like to walk or bike or a direct bus which stops one block from the house. Direct bus to San Francisco stops one block away as well. BART rapid transit station also close by. San Francisco and Marin County are less than 30 minutes away. The Napa and Sonoma Valleys are less than an hour away and offer wine-tasting, shopping, gourmet eating. Nearby Tilden Park has a lake, hiking, children's zoo, riding. San Francisco Bay offers sailing, windsurfing, fishing, and the gorgeous coastal beaches are only a short drive away. Lake Tahoe, with sailing in the summer and snow sports in the winter is only a few hours drive.
Berkeley's excellent food shopping is nearby, also many good restaurants, movie theaters, libraries, museums.
We are looking for someone who will enjoy this lovely house in its pleasant and convenient setting for a minimum 3 month stay.
