Hood Canal House is a private 1942 vintage home with 100 feet of low-bank waterfront and a small creek running through it. It is located three miles west of Twanoh State Park, on State Route 106. It is ideal for a vacation getaway or a great retreat for small groups and workshops*. The upper level and front deck may also be rented out separately to couples, who want to get away for a few days. It is a great alternative to a hotel, whether it be for business or pleasure.

The house has a very warm and inviting atmosphere with a beautiful view of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains from the spacious front deck, living room, dining room and fully-equipped kitchen.

There are four tastefully decorated bedrooms. Two are located on the main floor and the other two on the lower level. Each floor has its own bathroom. Also, the large recreation area on the lower level offers a variety of activities and entertainment. There is a pool table, dart board, television, VCR, DVD Player and a Radio/CD Player. Guests may choose from a personal collection of video tapes/DVDs, cards/board games, magazines/books and activities for younger children.

A 12 foot aluminum row boat (including life preservers) is available for the pleasure and safety of guests. In season, a crab pot can be utilized with the appropriate license. There is a large grassy area across the road for picnicking, lawn games or just relaxing in the sun. In the evening, enjoy beautiful sunsets and stargazing by the warmth of a campfire. "Hood Canal House" is like your own private mini-resort because you have the entire house and waterfront to yourself.

It is an ideal base camp for outdoor activities. Hood Canal is the Gateway to the Olympic Penninsula and a multitude of hiking trails and water sports await you. Local kayak (Kayak Hood Canal) and boat rentals (as well as, Hood Canal Charters in Hoodsport) and the popular Alderbrook Golf Course are just 2 miles away.

* Additional tables and chairs may also be requested for groups and workshops, to facilitate their activities and planning sessions. Perfect for scrapbooking, quilting, church or small business groups or Girls or Guys Weekend. You may even bring your laptops with you too! We have a number of Internet connections throughout the house.


ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:

* Sales and Lodging Tax not included. A Money Order, for 50% of the total, is due within one week of the confirmation, unless special arrangements are made. The balance is due one month prior to occupancy.
* A Refundable/Combination Security/Cleaning Deposit of $250.00, is due upon arrival, to cover any damage or loss and the cleaning service ($50-$100). House and property are to be left in the same original condition found upon arrival.
* Renters must be at least 25 years or older to rent house.
* Maximum number of Daytime Visitors: 10
* Smoking: Outside only.
* Sorry, no pets.
* Check-in time: 3:00. Check-out time: 12:00 (noon).
* Cancellation Policy: Fee of one night rental charge, if
cancelled prior to 30 days of arrival. Less than 30 days
cancellation, no refund given unless able to rebook your space
for that time frame.

* Avoid disppointment. Please note that reservations are confirmed only on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, because of the many inquiries, we cannot reserve a specific date without a deposit.
