Thank you for your stay at the Bungalow! It was the perfect place to stay for us. I like how you thought of every detail to make your guests feel comfortable, down to the little flash light on the bedside table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Loved how kid-friendly it is too!We really like your neighbors. We hope to stay again in the future.

The house was very nice and a great place to stay for a week. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Near nice parks and the fun Ballard area - a great place to get away from everything.
Owner response: We really appreciate guest feedback and thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay during your trip for the wedding. We hope to have a chance to host you again on future trips.

Our family of five found the Ballard Bungalow to be a convenient, super clean and pleasant pied-a-terre for our time in Seattle. There was a small problem with key access at first but the hosts (and their helpful next door neighbor, worked hard and fast to rectify it. The home is in a very quiet residential area but minutes away from pretty well any service imaginable as well as the lovely Golden Garden waterfront park. Oodles of great travel and nature books line the shelves along with the very well organized and helpful binder of information the hosts have prepared. The kitchen and bathroom are pretty tiny but work well for a family like ours that came to the city to be out and about. The back yard has a lovely deck and a hammock for lazing as well as a barbecue. All in all a lovely experience at very reasonable rates.

our family of 3 stayed here for 9 days while visiting seattle, and it was such a relief to come home to a sweet space of our own. access to the backyard was especially great given that we have a 4 year old, and she loved having a nice play space to unwind in. melissa & brian were welcoming and accommodating & very pleasant hosts. we'd definitely try to book the bungalow again & recommend it highly!
Owner response:We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay. We love being able to make a home away from home for travelers. And it gives us great joy to help our younger guests enjoy the space. We travel with our toddler frequently and know how helpful it is to have and entertaining environment for them when they are away from all their toys and play areas at their own homes. We hope to host you on a future trip to Seattle. Thanks for your review!

My parents stayed here over the holidays. It was fantastic! The bungalow is super cute and cozy. Every effort was made to ensure their comfort. It was the best of both worlds-my parents had space to themselves but were still super close to us. Thanks!

My husband and I LOVED our stay at the Ballard Bungalow! We traveled for the first time with our son and the Rice's provided everything we would need for our little one - stroller, crib, books, toys and more! The neighborhood is in a wonderful location not to mention the great park that is a few blocks from the Bungalow. The Rice's were very kind in making sure we were well taken care of. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a child-friendly, cozy, home away from home place to stay in Seattle. We plan on staying here again during our next visit to Seattle. Thank you so much!

We stayed at this bungalow for 1 week September 2010. This place is great! We especially appreciated the gracious owners, their beautiful garden with hot tub, candy on pillows upon arrival, flowers in a vase & fresh strawberries from the garden during our stay, kids movies and toys, toiletries & kitchen supplies & VERY cozy furnishings... (DID YOU HEAR ALL THAT MAJOR HOTELS!! hehe)... We'll definitely be back when we visit our grandkids in Seattle!

We stayed at the Ballard Garden Bungalow for a week with our 8 month old daughter. It was a wonderful experience. The Rice's catered to our needs as we are first time parents making our first trip with our daughter. They made sure we had everything we needed. We would recommend this home away from home for all and highly recommend it for families with small children.

The Rices knew the main purpose of our trip was to visit our daughter and grandchildren and, without our having to ask, they gave us everything we needed to entertain small children at "our place. The Rice's little red wagon, toys, pack-and-play and an excellent tot-lot a block away helped me to re-forge my bond with my twenty-two month old granddaughter--I was worried that my granddaughter would forget us in her move to the west coast. Instead, we got right back to where we left off. The Rices gave me the right tools. It was a wonderful! Many rental owners know the value of a wide screen TV and 400-thread-count sheets--and the Rices know this too--but very few owners know the power of a little red wagon. Their attention to detail is what separates them from the rest. Rent without hesitation--they really want you to be happy in their bungalow.

Melissa and Brain made our stay in Seattle better than anything I could have imagined. We were traveling with a baby for the first time since birth and were a bit nervous about staying in a new place. The Ballard Bungalow proved to be like home. Everything we needed was there. Apart from all the usual creature comforts, Melissa and Brain supplied us with all of the things we needed for our little one (baby gates, diapers, toys, books, stroller, and more)! The place was warm, cozy, and clean. We really felt very comfortable and very well taken care of. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for calm, peaceful stay-away.
Owner response:We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you and little Pasha again soon!

This was a great place for me to stay while visiting my son and daughter-in-law over the holiday while helping to prepare their apartment for a new baby! I look forward to coming back for grandma visits! It is a very cozy living space, comfortable bedroom and living area. The kitchen works for simple meals or heating meals. The shower is good and the hot tub a great touch. Loved the Spa robe and slippers. Nice touch! The bathroom would benefit from a couple of good hooks for robe, towel, etc. Overall, great space for what I needed. Thanks for allowing my inclusion of my sister from North Carolina for this holiday visit!
Owner response:Thanks Quess! We look forward to seeing you again once the baby arrives. We've installed some hooks in the bathroom for you. Thanks for the suggestion. Melissa & Brian

We have stayed at the Bungalow twice and heartily recommend it. It is exactly as advertised; the guest suite is very private, with its own entrance, and the bed is nice and firm. The neighborhood was friendly, and invited strolling. It was just ten minutes to the Pike market and the Space Needle. The hot tub was awesome. The owners were there, and they were very nice and helpful.

I had a wonderful time staying in this peaceful and lovely home - the neighborhood is quiet, very safe and in a great location. I enjoyed early morning walks and admired the lush landscaping and nearby parks, plus had delicious meals in the neighborhood restaurants.Any other area of Seattle is very easy to reach from here. Brian and Melissa are warm and helpful hosts, and had great suggestions about what to do in the area. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Seattle!

We have stayed in this terrific place several times. Melissa and Brian are charming hosts. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The hot tub is also huge and a great way to end the day. It is definitely nice to have a car to get around to the many terrific sites, although the neighborhood is lovely for walking. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We live in the midwest and we stayed in the Ballard Bungalow for an extended period in the spring of 2011 and found the accommodations to be wonderful. The property is very clean and well maintained. The owners are very considerate and helpful and did much to make our visit to Seattle pleasant. It is conveniently located for all kinds of activities. We would definitely recommend it to friends and relatives.
