Farnesi Apartment is located on the first floor (second to Americans) of a no lift XVII century palazzetto recently restored. It has been furnished with care by the owner with antiques, such as ancient tapestries, elegant tile floor, beautiful pictures and wooden ceilings.
The apartment, very quiet, consists of a large and bright living area where also is a unique round double bed, a dining area with an authentic Impero style table, a modern sofa bed and an antique fireplace perfectly working.
From the living area a nice door will lead you to a small corridor that, until the last century, was on open air. Most of the houses had those bathrooms, called pensile, they were separated from the house and only accessible through an outside passage.
The present corridor has now two nice gothic style small windows facing a small courtyard. At the end of the corridor there is a fully equipped kitchenette with washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and microwave. Here you will find some basic items: oil, vinegar, salt, spices, coffee, tea, soluble coffee, a moka for a perfect Italian espresso and everything necessary for cooking.
To complete this distinctive property there is a marble bathroom with shower where you will find a hairdryer, soaps, shampoo, balsam.

Michaela was wonderful and so helpful. The apartment is clean and charming. The location is unbeatable. My husband and I walked to all the major sites, and Campo di Fiori is a great neighborhood. I highly recommend it!

New Year's in Rome

We arrived the day before New Year's Eve to a wonderful, informative welcome from Michaela and were so surprised to learn we had the use of a computer, land phone and cell phone, as well as a fully stocked apartment. Michaela not only shared information about the apartment and her artist great-grandfather (whose amazing art fills the apt), but also gave us tips for restaurants, New Year's Eve celebration spots and good local restaurants. The location of the apartment was perfect, close to Campo de Fiori without the noise you get if you're right on it. Everything was close and convenient, in fact we only took a bus once, to the Borghesi Galleria, from which we walked "home." We would definitely recommend this apartment.

For a Great Time in Rome Stay Here

My wife and I stayed in this apartment during our honeymoon (June 2011) and it was everything we had dreamed it would be! The location is perfect (walkable to many, many sites) - the apartment was lovely, beautifully decorated, and romantic - and Barbara and her daughter were polite, helpful, and friendly. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! We highly recommend their apartment to couples on a romantic getaway, friends who want a central Roman location, or anyone that enjoys quality service for a quality price.

My husband and I stayed here in March. Sorry this took so long. The apartment is very large and beautifully done. Michaela was very helpful and welcoming. This is in the perfect location for all the major sites. We hope this is available when we come back to Rome, and highly recommend it.

Honeymoon in April

My (new) wife and I stayed here for 4 days/nights during the middle of April. As promised, Michela was there to greet us when we arrived. It was very nice not to have to worry about calling, etc--she made it very easy on us. Upon entering the apartment we were wonderfully surprised by all of the space! The apartment was much bigger than we had imagined and even niced than the pictures let on. We felt very comfortable staying there--Michela and Barbara have the made the apartment very homey while providing every possible amenity. We also loved the location, minutes from the river, Campo de Fiori, etc. We had a great experience in Rome with all the sightseeing but we were extremely grateful to have a nice, big, comfortable apartment to return home too each night. Thank you so much! Dave and Michelle

I stayed here with my two daughters for three nights and loved the apartment and location. Idealy two people would stay here but there is a sleep sofa for a third. The apartment is very nicely decorated with lots of interesting antiques. There is a working computer, TV, Washer / Dryer and outfitted kitchen. The bathroom is small but workable. I best loved the location! it is right off of Via Gulia and down the street from Campo Dei Fiori, a wonderful piazza that has a daily market that is written beautifully about in the new book 'Keeping the Feast'. Michela was a great help and made us feel right at home. I highly reccomend this apartment.
