We had a wonderful time here! I don't think the photos do it justice. We all felt like this was a home away from home. We have two young boys and the loft upstairs was perfect for them. Everything was very clean and the condo had everything we needed. All the beach supplies were great too. We plan to make this our regular vacation spot.

We decided to rent this property very much on the spur of the moment, but what a great decision! We just got back and the kids are already asking if we can go back next year. The view from the balcony is just as shown in the pictures - any closer and you'd be IN the ocean. As a matter of fact, from my daughter's bed in the loft, it looks like you ARE in the water, when the tide is in. The interior pictures are also accurate, but I really think they don't quite do the condo justice - that is, I think the the condo is even nicer in real life. For some reason I was a bit put off by the red carpet in the pictures, thinking it was wall-to-wall. It's actually an area rug over ceramic tile, and it looks really nice. The loft upstairs isn't pictured here, but it's really pretty, and my kids absolutely loved it. The storage locker downstairs was really handy, and well-equipped with chairs, toys and an umbrella. It really made a difference having it there - it allowed us to keep the condo mostly sand-free for the week. This unit also has it's own full-size washer and dryer, which is super handy. Also not mentioned in the write-up here is the pool area - the pool isn't huge, but it's got a nice deck all around it and it was a nice break from the ocean. My only caveat is that it's on the 3rd floor, so if you have trouble with chairs, you might want to go for something lower down. It wasn't a problem for us, though, and I would always want to be on the 3rd floor, as they're the only units with the vaulted ceilings/cool loft/extra bedroom. The condo complex itself was nice and well-maintained, and all the people were very friendly. We met several people who come there year after year, and we can understand why. The Topsail/Surf City area is pretty small and quiet, which we enjoyed. For entertainment, we played putt-putt once, nearby, drove into Wilmington (about 30 min) for a couple of movies, and dined out a few times. My favorite was Surf City Crabs - we ate lunch there once (simple, but good, with a very laid back and goofy decor) and bought fresh fish there another night to cook at home. My husband and kids rented a jet ski from Makin' Waves in North Topsail and enjoyed it very much. All in all, we had a very good vacation, and the owner was very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend it!
