Historic Beach Haven is the ideal location for a family vacation. Our house is located ocean side in historic Beach Haven / LEHYC area with a fenced in playground across the street for the kids (free & open to the public), public tennis courts at the end of the street, the bike/jogging trail outside the front door and, of course, a lovely beach with lifeguards. You can easily walk to the best restaurants, shopping, amusements including Fantasy Island and Surflite Playhouse. The house is very clean with high 8-1/2' ceilings, spacious rooms and an open floor plan that give it the perfect relaxing beach feel. There are 4 bedrooms, 1 full bath, 1 half bath and an enclosed outdoor shower. There is beautiful new wide plank wood flooring throughout the house. The living room has all new furniture and HD LCD TV with full HD digital cable. Living room & all bedrooms have window air conditioners. Outside is newly landscaped and includes a large new paver patio in a private courtyard setting.
The kitchen is brand new as are all of the appliances including refrigerator/freezer, microwave hood, coffee maker and toaster. Kitchen has all cookware, flatware and all dining essentials. The bedrooms have one queen bed, one full bed and 5 twin beds. There are duvets and pillows, please bring your own sheets and towels. There is a new full size over / under clothes washer and dryer.
There is large outdoor gas grill and all patio furniture. Ample parking including 2 car parking in front of the garage in addition to 2 street parking spaces along Marine street. Marine Street is lightly travelled with the church property / playground occupying the lots across the street and the public tennis courts and baseball fields occupying the entire bay side of the island.
Newly renovated 1920's historic bungalow in Beach Haven New Jersey. This was the carriage house to the Baldwin Hotel, the original Beach Haven attraction. The house is completely renovated and has an addition to the original structure.
The bird sanctuary is just a few miles to the south and the just relit Barnegat Light House is fun to see on the north end of the island.

Why the Owner Chose Beach Haven
This is a great family vacation destination. The area is quiet yet has lots of amenities close by. The beach is beautiful year round. The island is close enough to where we live that we can go for weekends and enjoy a nice change of pace.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The best part is simply the fact that you can park the car and walk everywhere you want to go. There are a lot of great restaurants nearby including the Engleside, Sweet Vadalia the Gables and many more. We enjoy walking on the beach, jogging and riding our bikes on the bike path and playing tennis on the public courts at the end of the street. The kids will tell you their favorite part is exploring on the beach, playing on the playground across the street and going on the rides at Fantasy Island the slides at the water park.
Great food Also has an outdoor restaurant & bar that has a beach entrance

We rented this house last summer and cannot say enough good about it. Clean, bright and well equipped.There were 3 adults and 2 children ages 6 and 3 in our party and there was ample room. The location was perfect and the outside area was just fabulous. We are sad that our vaction this coming year does not conincide with availabilty, but hopefully in years to come. The owers are extermely responsive and obviously take prinde in their home. Lastly, having a fenced in yard with two small ones is a huge bonus.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

My family and I just returned from our week's vacation in this home. The house is definitely larger than it appears, and during our busiest couple of nights, we had 5 adults and 3 children. There was still plenty of room. For us, with three children ages 4, 4, and 2, the single floor plan and fenced in yard were very important. The game room allowed our kids to have a spot to play but to also be in ear/eyesight. The walk to the beach was easy and short as was the walk to restaurants, shops and Fantasy Island. I also liked that there was access to the outside patio area from the master bedroom. Overall, we had a wonderful week in this house. While we will probably look for something "pet friendly" next year (because we hated leaving our dog at home), I would highly recommend this house for anyone with small kids and for anyone looking for a kid-free weekend away.

This property was exaclty as represented in the photos, but is bigger than it looks. It was very clean, super close to the beach and only a couple blocks away from shopping. It was also a very quiet neighborhood. The owners were great to deal with, very prompt on all inquiries. We enjoyed our nightly bike rides and daily trips to the beach. Will be back! Thanks!
Owner response:Thank you for your review. The picutes do make it look smaller than in reality which is a result of trying to get as much of the house as possible into each picture. It is very comfortable in the house for the number of people we allow to stay there.

A great house and all new and clean inside. Loved the courtyard for hanging out at night. The beach is very close and we walked to everything - resturaunts, shopping, amusements, groceries. Highly recommend and will be going back.

This was my family's first experience in LBI with an 18 month old and it was great. The one level layout is great for children. Plenty of room for our extended family. Great location to beach and Beach Haven attractions. Would stay again!
