A wonderful surprise in East Glacier
A wonderful surprise in East Glacier
This is an excellent vacation rental. The interior is deceptively large with three nice bedrooms, separate dining room, living room, and reading (or extra bedroom). The master bath has two separate large sink units, and there is a separate shower and huge angled tub. There are several skylights in the house. The mattress in the master bathroom is really luscious - I want one. The owner left us some goodies that we enjoyed on the kitchen counter. The house was spotless, and the washer and dryer were really nice. We stayed on the West side of the park and the East side, but the East side is much more convenient for long hikes. You will not be disappointed with this vacation rental.

My husband and I, and my brother-in-law and his wife stayed for 4 nights. We had a great time. This house is comfortable and well stocked. It is very convenient to the west and east side of the park. The railroad station and the Red Bus/Sun Tours are here. You can see the snow-capped mountains from the back yard. Leo is very friendly and helpful and is just a phone call away if needed. We would go back and stay here again in a minute!

East Glacier Stay
East Glacier Stay
This property was perfect for a small group of retired women who came to hike the east side of the park. Close to but away from the crowded tourist areas. The property was exactly as described in the listing. Comfortable, spacious, well maintained, quiet with a fully equipped kitchen and pleasant back yard for dining after a long day of hiking. The owner was very friendly and accomodating. Big bonus was the bison farm just down the road from the house.

We spent four nights in the house before moving to the other side of the park. The east side is where you want to be and this house is perfect. It was even better than the pictures. Everything you need is there and the house is spacious and comfortable. We watched the Olympics on a huge tv (not pictured) and enjoyed the comfortable set up Leo has. He's just a phone call away and available for any help. We want to go back.

Great family vacation retreat
Great family vacation retreat
We recently stayed at this property and enjoyed the comforts and conveniences of this home in one of the most beautiful places in the country. The house was nicely furnished. the beds (and linens) were super comfortable, and we appreciated having access to a well stocked kitchen. The owner was very helpful and made our stay very comfortable attending to every detail. We loved it! We used this home as our base for hiking in Glacier National Park and exploring the environs by boat, bike and on foot. This area is a paradise and now a family favorite. The house was conveniently located in East Glacier giving us access to great restaurants, an art gallery (check out the local art) and family outdoor adventures. We saw lots of wildlife and had our share of huckleberry pie but we will never get our fill of the beautiful scenery. We plan to return and will definitely stay again, making this our annual family vacation retreat.

Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: I bought this house so that I could have room for my ever expanding family to come and visit. This spring brought the arrival of a beautiful grand daughter and I am expecting another grand son by the end of April. The little ones enjoy the big screen tv and the 'extra' living room for play. Otherwise, I live alone in my quiet and spacious home for about 10 months per year. During the summer season, I stay in a 24 foot travel trailer nearby or with my girlfriend in her beautiful West Glacier home.
Why the Owner Chose East Glacier Park:
This is my home I live in year round. I am a Montana native and have lived in the Glacier Park area for over 20 years. The area offers some outstanding outdoor recreational opportunities including hiking, fishing, river rafting, birding and just enjoying the spectacular scenery. Hunting big bull elk and mountain biking are among my favorites!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
My home is located on a quiet dead end street on the edge of town. The neighbors directly across all have 4 legs. On the short drive to the home you will pass by a paddock containing real live buffalo. Glacier Park has only one road bisecting this beautiful place. There are also a number of spur roads leading to trail heads and lakes. The east and west sides of the part are quite different and I believe that East Glacier is the most central location from which to enjoy the beauty of both worlds.
