No Lines, No Check-In. Keys are in Secure Location at Front Door. Private Parking for 3 Cars. No Need to Drive or look for parking once you’re there.
There is a dedicated shuttle for Westridge Rd. that will take you from the cabin to the village at Snowshoe (about a 2 minute ride). The shuttle is free and you can take it as often as you like. Just stand right outside the cabin on the parking pad--the shuttle runs continuously until midnight on weekdays and 1:00 am on weekends. When you are ready to go home just wait for the shuttle in front of "The Depot" at the village. The Western Territory Slopes are just down the street from the cabin, but it’s a long walk in ski boots. There are 25 steps from the Parking Pad to the Cabin deck.
Cell phones rarely work at Snowshoe and everyone hates buying and using expensive calling cards, so we have Included Free Long Distance to anywhere in the Continental US. Just dial direct for No Charge. Also, Bring your Laptop as there is Free Wi-Fi High Speed Internet.
The cabin features Indonesian Olive hardwood floors throughout the main floor and carpet in the loft. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including full size refrigerator, full size gas cooktop and oven, microwave, small dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, crock-pot, and stackable washer and dryer. Dining will be a pleasant experience at the 8’ long table which comfortably seats 8.
The living room features a stone fireplace with remote controlled gas logs, a 37” Flatscreen TV, and a sleeper sofa. There is also a granite top desk for your laptop. All Westerly facing windows including the kitchen/dining, living room and loft have magnificent views of the valley and amazing sunsets.
Each of the 4 TV’s have DishNet Top 100 Channels. The bedroom TV’s each have built in DVD players. The bedrooms feature log beds and dressers. The loft features a double bed and twin bed, plus a reclining leather couch.
Linens are included in the price with sheets for King, Queen, Full(2), and Twin, 10 towels and washcloths. We have left a variety of board games, cards, DVD’s, etc. for you to enjoy. There is a large deck to enjoy in good weather and this is where all smoking will be done. There are no pets and no smoking in the cabin!
Great Rate: $300/Night, $400/Night on weekends and holidays; 2 night minimum weekdays, 3 night minimum weekends. 2 lift tickets/night included! ($150 value per night!). If you assume that 2 people were going to buy lift tickets at $75 each/day, our rates are really $150 midweek and $250 weekend and holiday. That's cheaper than most 1BR condos! Plus, nights 4-7 are 25% off even on holidays! The cabin is like new inside, cozy, and easily accommodates 8 for sleeping, but there is currently only 1 bathroom. 12% tax and $100 cleaning fee additional.
With no offense meant to the West Virginia Mountaineers or any other fine school in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, the owners were roommates at Virginia Tech and made this purchase together 12 years after graduation. Thus it seemed fitting to be the “Hokie Haus" Cabin. However this is NOT a college Party House. It is where we bring our families for vacation and we look forward to having you as our guest! Minimum age for rental is 25.
100% refund 30 days prior to check-in; 50% less than 30 days. All rental proceeds are being reinvested directly into upgrading the cabin, adding a mudroom, another bathroom, and we’re even considering adding a Maroon metal roof and painting the trim Orange. GO HOKIES!

Why the Owner Chose Snowshoe
We love to ski and we think this is the best skiing in the region. There's always something going on. The mountains and the weather are beautiful in the spring, summer, and fall.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
A typical day for us at Snowshoe starts with a big breakfast at the cabin. By 9 am we are on the shuttle for a 2 minute ride to the slopes. After a long day of skiing, the kids enjoy games at the Shaver Center and/or swimming in the pool. Then we cook a gourmet dinner back at the cabin and finish our evening drinking wine around the fire, while the kids play and watch TV in the loft. The cabin is perfectly designed for 2 couples and children. We also able to stay in touch with our business's while we're away with the high speed internet and unlimited nationwide long distance phones.

Cameron and Angie were married in 2003 and have two small boys, Alexander and Aiden. They live and sell real estate at Smith Mountain Lake, VA. Summer is the busy season, but they're able to get away in the winter and really wanted a place where the boys would remember having their family vacations.
Cameron and Brett went to the same high school and were roommates at VA TECH. They lost touch for a few years and then ran into each other in their hometown of Staunton, VA. Angie introduced Brett to Kim and they were married in 2008. Brett owns South River Irrigation in Staunton,VA and Kim is the Administrator of a continuing care retirement community in Lexington, VA.
In Feb 2007, we went to Snowshoe for vacation and decided to look at places to buy. In Feb 2008, we went again and found our cabin. The furnace had caught fire. The pipes had frozen and flooded the entire house. It was foreclosed and looking very rough! Much to the disagreement of our wives, we knew this would become "The Hokie Haus Cabin". We closed in the spring of 2008 and hired a contractor to gut and remodel the entire house. As the season got nearer, it became evident it wasn't going to be finished, so we ultimately had to finish the project on our own. We finally got it ready to advertise and rent on 1/7/09. We were very pleased with the rentals we got our first year in spite of getting a late start. We were also very pleased with all of our "guests". Everyone was very friendly to work with and took great care of the cabin. We returned 100% of our deposits.
For the 2009/10 season, we decided to add free lift tickets with all of our rentals! All of our rental proceeds stay in Hokie Haus, LLC for upgrades.

The Hokie Haus is the perfect spot for a ski getaway. The view from the cabin is amazing. My husband and I went with another couple and had a blast. The shuttle service is great for couples on their own schedule. We love to cook and the kitchen was well equipped. I would highly recommend the Hokie Haus to anyone. We will be back.
Recommended for:Families with young children, romantic getaway.

We really loved staying at the Hokie Haus even though we are Georgia Bulldogs. Warm and cozy fireplace and room for the kids to have fun upstairs. The shuttle comes so quickly you hardly notice you aren't slopeside. We have allready visited twice and intend on coming again this year. PS Love the Backsplash Tile! =)
