Fabulous Pool Home with Fantastic Views! Pristine Beaches!

  The house was as advertised, so we were not disappointed with that. However, it suffered from owners who live in Orlando and were unaware of the maintenance issues we encountered. Examples: Cable TV didn't work the night we arrived, although the owners got that corrected immediately. There were no batteries in one of the TV remotes, and the battery in the thermostat was old and didn't work, requiring us to find replacements. The coffee carafe was broken, and the owners sent us out to buy another. And perhaps most disturbing was when a smoke detector went off at midtnight one night because of a battery that hadn't been changed, causing everyone a sleepless night until WE went to get another battery. All this was compounded by endless excuses and delays in getting our security deposit returned, which we eventually received more than a month after the lease required it to be returned! So our advice is simple: The house is great, but before renting be sure you cover these type of issues with the owner.

  Owner response: We take great pride in the care and condition of our house. The home is meticulously maintained. It is difficult to plan for unforeseen incidents like batteries, ect., but we do our best to make sure the house is perfect for your stay. In regards to the deposit; it was returned once the utilities and gas usage were verified. I know this family enjoyed their stay at our house and created some wonderful, lasting memories. It is our hope that anyone who visits will love and appreciate the home and Ponce Inlet as much as we do.

• Great times, Great House!

  After an exhausting search for homes on/near the beach with proximity to Disney, we were lucky to find this place! Kathy was incredibly helpful and resourceful in helping us plan our trip! Ponce Inlet was a GREAT area...a treat of a beach town that is not yet spoiled by over-development. The house was gorgeous and SUPER clean, with incredible views of the ocean, especially during meal times, and of the Ponce de Leon lighthouse! We had very young children (5 under age 6) with us and it worked out well to bunk them all together on the futons in the kids' rec room--they had a blast! We did see some spiders, but after researching them a little, we found them to be harmless--when you see the surrounding foliage, you will understand why they are around! (Very new neighborhood with lots of greenery and therefore privacy.) We also had a bunch of super cute little frogs in the pool area that the kids LOVED and we even saw the neighborhood tortoise out for a stroll. It was an easy commute to Disney for the day though the kids were every bit as content playing in the pool (loved the shallow end for our little ones to play!) and enjoying the beach...the ocean was very shallow also for a good distance and our kids all surprised us by how much they wanted to be in the water! We had a great trip and would absolutely consider renting this home again!

  We recently rented this house out for my husband's birthday. We came with 3 other couples so we had 8 people total. Kathy and Mark were great to work with and were very helpful with every little detail. The house was absolutely amazing. (The pictures do not do the home justice). The open layout is perfect for entertaining, whether you are in the kitchen cooking, sitting at the dining room table, or in the family room, you will be involved and a part of the conversation. There was also so much there to keep us busy. The area is great and we honestly had just an amazing time. We will DEFINITELY go back.

  The house is neat and spacious with some good views. Be on the lookout for spiders in the garage attached bunk bed room. One night we killed 8 spiders total, 3 wolf spiders and one brown recluse in the count. Hopefully they got rid of the spider webs under the beds. We no longer had the kids sleep in that room, which was a big inconvenience. Also make sure you are explained how to adjust the pool settings: The heat went off in the jacuzzi and just pushed the button to light up the jacuzzi side of the heater. We were charged over $200 for something that could have been easily avoided with instructions from either the owner or the person who checks you in. Has this happened to anyone else? Besides this, great time, great beach and you have to go to Aunt Catfish's.

  Hello Reviewers, I just want to start out with WOW! This place was beyond nice. This home was very well furnished and beautiful. My family and I a total of 8 people stayed here from 10/9/11 to 10/15/11 and we loved or visit to this home and Ponce Inlet. The beach is quiet and clean. There is very little traffic in this area since the road leads to a dead end or I guess you could say to a jetty which we enjoyed walking out on and watching the waves and surfers. We had a fabuluos time at the Marine Science Center which cost 5 dollars and is less than a mile down the road. The Marine Science Center was small but very neat for my family and myself. I would love to volunteer there. Kathy was very helpful and great to work with. She gave my family a vacation we almost didn't get to take due to unpredictable conditions. I highly recommend this vacation home to everyone that wants to enjoy a relaxing beautiful location. I have no negatives to say about this property. But I do have a suggestion if you are looking for a place in Florida that is close but not at your door step than this is the place. I stayed a week in Orlando last year and yeah everything is at your door step but you don't have that feeling of relaxation. Disney is not but an hour drive and is well worth staying here and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city not to mention you get the beautiful home and beach. Once again I just want Kathy to know Thank You for given my family and I a second chance for our vacation.

  This house is even better than we expected! We stayed here with another family (8 people total) and found it very spacious and comfortable, even on the rainy days. The location was great, mostly residential, and just a short walk to the nearly empty beach. The view of the ocean from the third floor balcony was wonderful. When we weren't at the beach, someone was looking at it. All of us want to go back to this house! Kathy was very helpful with information on local activities and restaurants. Only one minor issue was the drain in the soaking tub needed repair but honestly, we didn't miss the tub with the huge shower in the master bath.

  What a wonderful beach house. Very clean and all info given was just as we found it. I worked with Kathy and found her to be most helpful with everything. I would certainly recomend this to anyone wanting a perfect place to stay. All of my family enjoyed living here for a week just wish it could have been longer.

  This vacation was made perfect with our stay at this beautiful home. We felt comfortable and relaxed and really enjoyed all the "extras"! The pool was everyone's favorite retreat. The kitchen was great for cooking our meals. The master shower was wonderful! Views were spectacular and the walk to the beach was short and easy. I just love the way it is decorated- lots of attention to details for comfort. The elevator was handy for move in and out too. The owners are great people to work with also- very accomodating. Everything was very clean and maintained well. We loved be so close to the lighthouse and the inlet park where lots of people surf.

  This house offers the absolute best...from the view and decor to the linens....everything is top quality! We went for a week with 2 other couples. The only disappointment was when our vacation was over. In the past, we always had to give up luxury to be on the beach...with this house you have it all! Ponce Inlet's beach is beautiful, and the town is so charming. We will be back!
