This upbeat sunlit home has phenomenal marsh and canal views and also views of the Pamlico sound across the street. It has exceptional views for bird watching! The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed and then some. Many guests have commented on the comfortable beds and furniture in the guest book, which is VERY important. There are mahogany floors downstairs. Plenty of Disney tapes for the kids to watch and tons of films for the family. There is total privacy from any other homes. Come on down, kick back, and enjoy the Ocracoke lifestyle. Ocracoke is a wonderful and beautiful Island, still with a pristine beach. You'll fall in love with it the 1st time you come

After a second vacation at Sisters within a year, this is our "go to" place on Ocracoke. Sisters feels like our own place at the beach, tucked among trees and beside a small, tranquil pond. The house is spacious and well equipped, especially the kitchen, making meal preparation (with same day catch seafood) a breeze. A big plus for our family is two king beds (sometimes hard to find on the island), one of which is on the main floor. Spacious covered and open porches encourage outside living. We enjoy walking or biking everywhere in town with its close proximity to Silver Lake, the restaurants and shops. We have many memories with our children and their wives and look forward to many more!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We loved our "Spring Break" at the Sisters house. The house has a great layout. The kitchen was well equiped with everything a chef would need. The beds were comfortable and the linens were very nice. We loved the 3 porches, sun porch, screen porch and covered porch. No matter what the weather we could find a great place to relax and hang out. We were able to rent bikes and ride all over town. We could walk to the end of the road and see the sunset every day. The only wish was if we had a neighborhood kyack access. Otherwise the house was great and we would definitely stay there again.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We were very comfortable in this charming home with its beautiful wood floors and antiques. The marsh on three sides gave us plenty of privacy and some wonderful bird-watching opportunities. The owner, Riggsie, was friendly, and helpful when we needed advice or had questions. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.
