This is that True Mountain Get-a-way with Room for Everyone… Tucked in the Heart of the Aska Adventure Area and Sought After Dial, just a mile or So away from Vanzandts Ole’ Country Store & Our Office, sits this New Beautifully Designed and Decorated Lodge with Lake View, just steps to 3 fishing lakes, and a short walk to the Rushing Toccoa River. You might want to hang out in a Rocking Chair on one of the Huge 10'wide Wrap-Around Porches or sit & Relax by the Fire Pit and listen to the Noisy Creek which runs the length of the lower boundary of the property. Nature & Wildlife abounds here as this area is surrounded by USFS and within a small rustic Private Gated Community. The cabin is located equal distance from Ellijay, Blue Ridge, and Blairsville. The cabin is also very close to Tennessee and North Carolina, making it great for day trips to those locations for white water rafting, hiking or sight-seeing. The cabin boasts 3 levels for your vacation enjoyment. The upper level is home to the master suite and loft/sitting/computer area. The main level has two queen bedrooms, full bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, and living room. The lower level has 1 bunkroom/bedroom and 1 full bath, as well as a game room with a pool table. It also has a 32" LCD TV with a Sony Playstation 2 hooked up with over 30 games which is sure to keep the kids busy. Just outside the game room sits the lower covered porch with sitting table, rockers and private hot tub. Just around the corner from the home is Sandy Bottoms canoe launch which is the perfect place to start a fishing adventure, or a tube, kayak, or canoe trip. You can also use one of the local services to furnish you with all the essentials for a water excursion. What ever your pleasure, Mountain Lake Lodge is sure to please everyone in your party. You may just want to stay home and relax, the home is large enough so everyone can find a little peace and quiet in their own little piece of heaven.

We decided to build a vacation rental in this area because we have been renting cabins in this area for many years. We think this area has a lot to offer. The landscape is breathtaking with mountain vistas, pristine mountain rivers and beautiful streams everywhere you look. This area gives our family a place to relax, unwind and enjoy the simple things life has to offer. If your looking for a vacation thats focused around quality family time and outdoor activities this is the place.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
We really enjoy relaxing around the cabin because it is so large it really gives us room to spread out. The kids really love to explore the surrounding area in our community and we feel safe and secure enough to let them. The cabin is situated above a meandering creek that runs the entire length of our lower boundary. The creek connects two nice size lakes that are within easy walking distance and one can be seen from the cabin. The community has access to trails within the forest that are only accessible if you own property there. Our community also has deeded access to the Toccoa River. We are a hop, skip, and a jump from Sandy Bottoms canoe launch, which makes a perfect ending or starting point for rafting, kayaking or canoe trips, or just a wading trip for a trophy trout. After a long day on the river we like to came back to the cabin, hop in the hot tub or maybe enjoy a game of pool while we unwind, enjoy a refreshing drink and enjoy each others company. Some days we like to get up early in the morning and head down to Vanzandts General Store for a big cup of coffee and enjoy some home cooked breakfast from Minnie while we enjoy the scenery from the front porch, they also serve home cooked lunches as well. This comes in handy if we are too "lazy" to cook! If you go there tell them we said hi, they are some of the nicest people your ever going to meet. Vandzandts also has an activities shack, where they sell bait and tackle, rent bikes, kayaks, tubes, arrange fishing trips, give kayak classes, etc. so be sure to stop in there!

We are a family of five that has been coming up to the mountains for a long time. This past year we were fortunate enough to be able to finally build our own cabin in the North Georgia Mountains. We decided to rent our dream cabin because we had nothing but positive experiences renting from others in the past. Now we are able to return the favor and help other families experience of the peace, serentity, and quality family time that we have had while vacationing in the North Georgia Mountains.
