  This was an awesome vacation spot! The location is wonderful and the owners are availabel for any questions via cell phone. They don't scrimp on anything: granite counter tops in kitchen, new washer and dryer, whirlpool tubs in both bathrooms as well as hot tub outside! Lots of cooking supplies. Wonderful gazebo to eat in with large gas grill on property. Lots of movies and the kids enjoyed the double bunk beds. All the beds were extremely comfortable. Large bath sheets were provided too not those small hotel size towels. Place was extremely clean too! The directions were perfect and well detailed. its in the country but so close to gatlinburg and everything else we were able to enjoy the lake and the city! The marina is close by to launch the boat. The lake was so pristine. great restaurants on the water too (unlike norris)! No one was on the lake during the week so there was a lot of room to tube, ski, and swim. Personally I loved it here better than Norris and we will be back!!!

  Directions to the vacation home were exceptional, considering the narrow winding roads. Owner provided a detailed map with photos to guide us to our destination. This was very much needed. House and amenities were very nice, and as they were represented...but, really could have been cleaner. Dishwasher was loaded with dishes...clean dishes. First floor toilet desperately needed cleaning. Hot tub was filled with clean water, though dirt particles laid in the bottom corners here and there. Mirror and windows needed cleaning. Furniture needed dusted...I could write in the dust on the table in the Master bedroom. The lamps above the kitchen counter were covered with dust, too. Not good in a kitchen where you cook food. It took a little guess work to figure out how to use the coffee machine and television. Would have been nice to have directions available. The deck and furniture on the deck could have been swept and cleaned prior to our arrival. It was a very nice vacation home and all the sleeping accomodations were nice...it just really could have been a lot cleaner.

  Owner response: Thank you for your review and bringing these items to our attention. We recently switched cleaning companies and your feedback is greatly appreciated. We completed putting in brand new floors, kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops the week before your arrival, that may explain the excessive amounts of dust you describe. I will certainly bring it to the attention of our new cleaning crew and apologize that you did not find it satisfactory. During construction all of the directions for TV's, remotes and other items were taken down. I will be certain to have those put back up A.S.A.P I understand how someone may mistake the gritty feeling in the hot tub as dirt particles. That is actually the calcium particles from our well water, and unfortunately there is no way for me to correct this problem. If you feel there are any other items that should be brought to our attention, please feel free to contact me directly at the email address provided on your rental documentation.   We had a girls weekend at the Chateau for July 4th and it was absolutely amazing! The house was immaculate inside and out with a wonderful master suite! The deck, jacuzzi, and floating dock were perfect for the occasion and we cannot wait to go back! Thank you so much for having us!

  Hi,just wanted to let you know we are local in the area and love to get away for our days off.We have a boat slip and enjoy getting away. We fell in love with your place and have stayed several places, Your decor was out of this world. I would have done it the same way! I never felt better or my family. I appreciate your taste in comfort. I will recommend It to my customers for sure. Thanks for the wonderful weekend! Hope to be back soon.

  The view is fantastic and the accomodations were excellent. Loved the decorating, cozy and classy. Good bathrooms and kitchen. The house was immaculate...I will be back!!

  Thank you so much for sharing your comfortable home with us. This is the first time in a long time I was able to get my dad to come somewhere with us. He was able to fish from the dock and had a great time doing it. The views were wonderful and it is so peaceful by the lake. We hope to be coming back again soon. Cynthia - 5/1/2009
