This home is on Douglas Lake front (not a pond) with 28,420 acres of water surface.
DESCRIPTION
The Chalet is located on Douglas Lake front in Sevierville, Tennessee - in the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains. It is a short 10 mile drive to all the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
The outside features a private dock for boating, swimming or fishing. You can relax in the hot tub on the deck, or sit in the gazebo and have a picnic. Have a summer time cook out with the brand new gas grill.
If grilling is not on the menu, cook a meal in the fully stocked kitchen with all new appliances. We have provided everything you will need to create a grand family meal – including serving dishes.
The private second floor king master suite features brand new furniture, mattresses, bedding with 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and satellite television. Escape the day with a soak in the large Jacuzzi tub. In the fall and winter step through the French doors to the private master deck and watch the sun rise over the Smoky Mountains.
The second queen bedroom also has all new furnishings, bedding and satellite television. A sofa for lounging that converts to a full size sleeper and attached half bath.
The kids will love the brand new rustic bunk beds with cozy and colorful Tommy Hilfiger sheets and comforters. After a fun filled day out the kids can pop a DVD in the portable television and relax before bed.
The living room features brand new overstuffed sofas, gas fireplace, DVD player, 42” HD TV with satellite (AND ESPN FOR HUBBY). Family game night doesn’t have to be cancelled on vacation, because we have plenty of board games to keep you entertained.
This charming 1400 square foot home is just the perfect place to escape.

The Unique Benefits at this Chalet
While staying at the property we love the convenience of walking out our door and being able to jump right on the boat. There are no worries about packing cars, coolers, hooking up trailers and launching boats. We just step out our door and go. We don't hear complaints from the kids saying, "When are we leaving?" They wake up in the morning, throw on their suits and swim off the dock or fish until we are ready to go. We love waking up in the morning and walking out on the master deck and looking at the lake. There are always turtles swimming across the lake in the morning and it is so tranquil to watch. To feel the warm sun on your skin and hear nothing but quiet is a lovely way to start your day.

This was an awesome vacation spot! The location is wonderful and the owners are availabel for any questions via cell phone. They don't scrimp on anything: granite counter tops in kitchen, new washer and dryer, whirlpool tubs in both bathrooms as well as hot tub outside! Lots of cooking supplies. Wonderful gazebo to eat in with large gas grill on property. Lots of movies and the kids enjoyed the double bunk beds. All the beds were extremely comfortable. Large bath sheets were provided too not those small hotel size towels. Place was extremely clean too! The directions were perfect and well detailed. its in the country but so close to gatlinburg and everything else we were able to enjoy the lake and the city! The marina is close by to launch the boat. The lake was so pristine. great restaurants on the water too (unlike norris)! No one was on the lake during the week so there was a lot of room to tube, ski, and swim. Personally I loved it here better than Norris and we will be back!!!

Directions to the vacation home were exceptional, considering the narrow winding roads. Owner provided a detailed map with photos to guide us to our destination. This was very much needed. House and amenities were very nice, and as they were represented...but, really could have been cleaner. Dishwasher was loaded with dishes...clean dishes. First floor toilet desperately needed cleaning. Hot tub was filled with clean water, though dirt particles laid in the bottom corners here and there. Mirror and windows needed cleaning. Furniture needed dusted...I could write in the dust on the table in the Master bedroom. The lamps above the kitchen counter were covered with dust, too. Not good in a kitchen where you cook food. It took a little guess work to figure out how to use the coffee machine and television. Would have been nice to have directions available. The deck and furniture on the deck could have been swept and cleaned prior to our arrival. It was a very nice vacation home and all the sleeping accomodations were nice...it just really could have been a lot cleaner.

We completed putting in brand new floors, kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops the week before your arrival, that may explain the excessive amounts of dust you describe. I will certainly bring it to the attention of our new cleaning crew and apologize that you did not find it satisfactory. During construction all of the directions for TV's, remotes and other items were taken down. I will be certain to have those put back up A.S.A.P I understand how someone may mistake the gritty feeling in the hot tub as dirt particles. That is actually the calcium particles from our well water, and unfortunately there is no way for me to correct this problem. If you feel there are any other items that should be brought to our attention, please feel free to contact me directly at the email address provided on your rental documentation. Again, thank you for bringing these items to our attention so we can provide you with better service in the future.
