A friend and I spent 4 relaxing nights at Snail's Pace. The house is in a great location....close to the beaches and the shops and restaurants of Seaside. We walked everywhere. The house is well furnished and was a perfect getaway. It certainly provided a much-needed relaxing atmosphere. Certainly hope to return to Snail's Pace.

Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This was our 2nd trip back to Seaside and our first at Snail's Pace. The location is awesome, the house was clean, well stocked and in good working order. Sandpiper Rentals were awesome to work with, already looking at booking a month later in the year.

Could not have asked for more. House was so well equipped...easy walk to the beautiful beach and the town. Big plus for us was the DVR so that we could still easily record TV and watch our shows when staying in! Very well located.. We will be back!

My husband and I have been vacationing in Seaside for 17 years now. We have stayed at many different places and rented through many agencies. This vacation was by far our best experience. The rental agency was freindly and helpful. They even came by to check and see if we needed anything. Snails Pace was neat and clean and had every thing we could need. The front porch and third floor t.v room were our favorite places to hang out. We had a wonderful stay at Snails Pace and will definitely stay again. Best vacation yet!

I would really rate this "Very, Very Good". Everything was as promised; the cottage was in excellent repair and very clean. A few tiny problems - a quirky coffee pot with a broken part and not enough toilet paper. We had a wonderful, restful vacation and will return, if possible. We would also recommend to friends. Thanks to everyone involved in providing this lovely spot for our use.

My husband and I were so sad to leave the peaceful, beautiful ambiance of Snail's Pace. Upon arrival, we found everything to be neat, clean, and easy to use. Although the cottage is pet friendly, and we took our beautiful and well-behaved dog which we had just bathed, we were delighted to find that the cottage was just as we'd hoped--no residue or odor, either masking pet odor or left from another tenant's pet. Snail's Pace is removed just enough from the main street to be quiet, yet so close to the beach pavillion that we walked up and enjoyed our morning coffee at the beach. We only used our car once: to drive to Santa Rosa Beach to have lunch at another one of our favorites, the Smiling Fish Cafe, right on 30A. Other favorite restaurants during both this stay and other visits are the Bud and Alley's; the crab cakes are some of the best we've ever had, and we've tasted many; the lobster roll at the outdoor cafe is delectable, chock-full of lobster and not diluted with onions, celery, or mayonnaise. Perfect recommendations for the seafood lover! Not only are we highly recommending this cottage, but we're planning to return. A bit too large for just us two --although we used the extra bedroom as a dresssing room--but perfect for four or five, adults or children. Our only concern was that we couldn't ever find the washing machine, which we didn't need on this trip but would like to have for a lengthier stay.

My family booked this place at the last minute for a quick get away and loved it!!! The place is clean, very convenient to the beach, and provides a great feel for the life in Seaside. You feel more like a local than a tourist after being there for a few days. Wait till you see the view from the third floor!! We will definitley be returning next year!!

We had a wonderful time here. Location was great...an easy walk to the beach, yet far enough from the main street. Quiet environment! I did not hear any unwanted sounds (other people's music, etc) Will come back. The top room is awesome...breezy with a great view. Property manager was very responsive as well.

My perfect Vacation at Snail's Pace

We drove for 6 hours in the rain. When we reached Seaside, we turned in Savannah St. There, a mere 4 houses down on the left was the Sweetest Little Cottage. More beautiful than the pictures ever showed. The house, the color of the Gulf, and the porch and upstairs deck, the color of Sunset as it fades into a wonderful lavender haze. I brought a 14 and a 15 year old, and chose this location for it's proximity to all that Seaside has to offer, and to the beach. If you have young teenagers, this is the place to rent them bikes, relax, and give them a reasonable curfew. You know they are close, you know they are making friends, and exploring in an incredibly safe environment. Snail's Pace was the perfect location. Merely across the street from the Savannah St. beach access, and the quick walk to Modica's Market for a treat. I have been coming to these beaches for well over 20 years, always staying in other properties strung along the Emerald Coast. We would visit Seaside for meal or shopping. There is absolutely no replacement for actually being in a fabulous place like Snail's Pace! The living room was very spacious with wonderful furniture in soothing colors. The newly done bath and shower was a delight for us all. It was clean, well loved and an absolute pleasure to spend a week. I can't say enough about the response from the manager's to any question or comment. Trust me, after 20+ years, I feel I will never stay in another cottage or rental. Snail's Pace made my vacation the experience I needed. Quiet, lovely, comfortable, well decorated, fabulous mattresses to rest on, and the wonderful screened porch. A delight! This was my family's 11th year in Seaside and we have rented several different homes. This was our first year in Snail's Pace and we loved it! Our favorite room was the third floor living area with the great views and sunshine. Snail's Pace was clean, well maintained and in good condition. We would definitely stay here again. It was also our first year to rent through Sandpiper Vacation Rentals. They were professional and quick to respond whenever we had questions. We had a good experience with them and would recommend their company.

We annually trek to Seaside and this year we stayed Saturday to Saturday. Snails Pace is perfect! Our 8 year old daughter was close enough to the beach, pool, house to do the rotation several times a day without wearing out parents! The tower room was my husbands favorite place in the house! We will definitely be back! We were able to bring our family cockapoo and she was delighted as all of us! Clean, comfortable beds, great layout to accommodate early risers and late night tv watchers! Cannot say enough about how happy we were!

Perfect location. Within walking distance to everything in Seaside and a perfect biking distance to Watercolor and beachfront state park. This is a comfortable beach cottage, with some updates. Only complaint is some essentials were in low supply. Be sure to check toilet paper/paper towels, detergent, dishwasher soap, before you make a grocery run....or you will need to do a special trip like we did! Overall, a good vacation spot.

We had an amazing time in Seaside!! The location of "Snail's Pace" is really perfect being close to the beach and town. No need to drive anywhere. We are a family of 5 and were worried that there would not be enough space, however, the loft turned out to be a perfect space for our third child. Thanks so much!

Snail's Pace was exactly as advertised. Loved the top floor in the morning as the sun came up and in the evening when the sun set, very pretty. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great little neighborhood, even though we were there off-season and there were very few people in Seaside at the time.

The house was just a few houses from the beach. Perfect walking or bike riding distance to the beach and to the center of the town. Plenty of activities hosted by the town at night. Fun shops to entertain your spending habits. Driving distance to a few other day trip places like Panama City.

My wife and three daughters (ages 7, 6, and 1) all stayed here for a week and had a great time. It's our 5th summer at Seaside (each time we pick a different house). This was the nicest place we've stayed. So convenient that they have the high chair, pack and play, and all beach toys, chairs etc..The beds are comfy and all the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. We loved being on Savannah Street - very close to the beach, pool and to town. The owners were kind and answered all of our questions promptly. I highly recommend Snail's Pace.

We had a great time at Snails Pace. The layout worked great for families with children. We had lots of space for relaxing. The children stayed up top watching their tv and the adults had lots of room in the downstairs. We had more than enough room to have family meals in the kitchen. We also loved the grill outside. The location was great, we have stayed in several other houses and the walk to the beach was so easy. I will stay ay this house again. Thanks for a great vacation.

Just spent a week in Seaside. We walked or rode bikes all over town. All cottages are beautiful and the town and beach are immaculate. There are 9 pavillions that provide easy access to the beach. The town of Seaside is like no other place; it is an actual town with restaurants, a bookstore, clothing/gift shops, a post office, amphitheatre, church, 3 pools, a rec center, tennis courts, and various other shops. Each cottage is colorful and unique. Part of the fun is walking or riding bikes around to look at all the various cottages. The beach is litter-free and the water a beautiful emerald color. Our cottage was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay.

We had a wonderful week's stay at Snail's Pace! The location of the house is perfect. Close to the beach and town center, but far enough away for peace and quiet. We parked our car and didn't move it for the entire week. We walked everywhere. The house is nicely furnished, and we particularly loved the screened porch and the tower. We would definitely rent it again.

The location of this cottage was perfect for us -- easy walking distance to the beach, but also town square, playground and family pool. Having the portable crib, high chair and baby gate made it very convenient for us to have our one-year-old there.

Snail's Pace was the perfect place for our family of three plus a friend for my 14 year old daughter. It's proximity to everything makes it the ideal location and the fact that it's pet friendly allowed us to travel with our 7lb Maltese, Teddy, who enjoyed walks and bike rides in a basket around Seaside!

The cottage is cute and comfortable. We used the tower room as a third bedroom; my son slept happily on the large couch. The location is ideal. No soap/detergents/windex on hand, so remember to pick some up on that Publix run.

My husband and I just spent 3 days at Snail's Pace and didn't want to leave. Everything about this adorable cottage is perfect, from the relaxing decor to the at home amenities, but we especially enjoyed the sunsets and views from the tower and the walk to the beach and pavilion. There was always something going on in the square and who could bear to leave behind this quaint, Cape Cod type community. We are definitely coming back.

We had a delightful vacation getaway at Snail's Pace. It a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the extra luxuries the homeowners have provided for their guests. From the view of the ocean, seen from the tower room to the decor, it is among the nicest. The fun activites in the surrounding area make it a great place to vist and we are planning a return visit to this unique community.
