The pictures don't do the view justice. Great view of the beach and pool. Problems with the internet at the beginning of our stay, but that was due to the building and not the room owner. Easy access to a grocery store and multiple restaurants. Would definitely inquire again if we took the same trip.

We enjoyed staying in this condo. It was awesome. My kids LOVED the tvs in the bunk areas. We had an awesome view of the beach. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Everything was so close to us. We were also given a map of the surrounding area with suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We used that a lot. Thank you so much and we look foward to coming back to your condo!

Daniel and Wendi, Our visit to your beautiful condo has been a FANTASTIC experience, from easy booking, easy communication and beautiful accomodations. Our family has had a wonderful time so far at your condo. We look forward to coming back and staying here. It was great having such comfy environment to lounge at night and watch movies with our kids with the surround sound system (thanks for all of the wonderful little "info" notes throughout the condo. It helped the "technologically challenged" to be able to know exactly how to operate what. The pools are great for our kids, not too deep but just right for them. The beach crew are all so friendly and helpful, constantly checking to make sure everything is ok and that there isn't any problems or concerns. Helped that we found an "Alabama Boy" working. You guys are great and we are again, so thankful for allowing us the opportunity to rent your place. The McCain Family

We had a wonderful time in Waters Edge 214. It was exactly as advertised. It was clean and had everything that we needed. Only complaint is the coffee maker was not big enough, but that was no big deal. The amentities were outstanding and the beach was glorious. The week we were there was not busy, the beach was very quiet and no waiting at the restaurants. It was an awesome time.

Many thanks to Daniel and Wendi for giving us the oppurtunity to stay at their beautiful condo on the sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. The view was spectacular, the maintenance crew extremely helpful and the Owners made the rental experience one that is unforgettable. We hope to be back to enjoy southern hospitality at its best...next time for a longer period.

We booked only a few days before arrival and were very pleased to find such a well-furnished, quiet place so convenient for the beach (a good beach too; even swam with the local dolphins!). Highly recommended!

This condo is great!

Due to a tropical storm we could only walk on the beach, but we still had a very good time. We loved sitting on the balcony watching and listening to the waves. Besides the restaurants right up the road, there is plenty of shopping and restaurants within about 10 - 15 minute drive. The condo was very clean and comfortable. What you see in the listing is truly what you will get. We will be making this our vacation spot.

This was our 2nd vacation at this unit in the past 12 months and again it was a great experience. The owners are extremely easy to work with and the communication couldn't be better. This is our second year staying in Daniel and Wendi's condo. Once again we had a wonderful time and as before the unit is clean and more than met our needs. You can't get a better location than a unit that faces right out to the ocean! Daniel and Wendi are very easy to work with and friendly! Just spent the week at Daniel and Wendi's beautiful condo. Every aspect of our stay, from making the reservation, checking in, and our week long vacation was perfect. This unit has to be one of the nicest, most well equipped in the building. We have been coming to Waters Edge for 6 years and we have found our new "go to" condo. Everything in this condo is a step up from others. And the view...the view is absolutely gorgeous! Our mornings were spent on the balcony with coffee and our evenings were spent on the balcony with a glass of wine. Additionally the building itself is very well maintained and the pool is huge, so it is never crowded.

Clean, Convenient, and As Advertised

Our stay at Daniel and Wendi's condo was very pleasant. It was clean, easy to get to, and exactly as the owners advertise. The beach service was great. We went down each morning and saved our chairs with a towel and no one bothered them all day. Even though we were there on Memorial Day weekend, the beach was not overly crowded or noisy. The views from the balcony are beautiful with emerald water and white sand as far as the eye can see! The condo is well stocked with everything you could need for cooking. And the master bed was quite comfortable. The only reason I give this condo 4 stars instead of 5 is that we weren't thrilled with the fact that the balcony is directly over the gate to the pool. Each time someone enters the pool the gate bangs very loudly...plus you have a lot of noise from all the kids swimming and people on the boardwalk. We would've enjoyed sitting on a quiet and peaceful balcony, but that was not the case here. If this sort of thing doesn't bother you, then you'll love this condo! Everything else is great.

Owner response: Waters Edge is a family friendly complex offering the largest swimming pool on Okaloosa Island. The swimming pool is visible from all of our Beachfront units. Sitting on the balcony at such close proximity watching the children play is a plus in my opinion but maybe not for all.

Wonderful accomodations and property

This was our first family beach vacation to this area. We cannot compliment the owners, condo and property enough. The reservation process was very easy and Daniel was very timely with any questions we had. Also Daniel gave us several tips on different area restaurants and attractions. Once we arrived we were very impressed with the cleanliness and nicely decorated condo. The LCD tv's in the kids bunks, granite countertops and bose stereo were really nice touches. The furniture on the patio was also nice quality and not some cheap plastic as seen on some of the other patios. The kitchen had about any appliance and cookware you could ask for. The unit was very close to the boardwalk leading out to the beach which was convenient. The beach is a lot closer than the pictures make it appear. Waters Edge staff had a presence throughout the day - cleaning and keeping an eye on things, which made the place feel safe, even though we did get in trouble once for hanging towels on the patio railing. The pool was clean and very large. The beach service was included with this unit. The beach attendants were very friendly and helpful. Like other reviews, if you want to have a specific chair set, you'll notice people carrying towels and stuff out to reserve, so get your butt out there to get your pick (around 7:30 am). The beach never really seemed crowded at all, however we did go the last wek before peak season. Still I cannot see the beach ever becoming overcrowded due to the smaller size of the condo (only six floors). The condo is actually on Okalsoosa Island along with several others. The access highway to the resorts is very quiet. But you are only a few mintues from several restaurants and stores. It was very easy getting around. Even though we were determined to eat mostly seafood, the Helen Backs Pizza restaurant was probably one of our cheapest and best meals. If we were to make any recommendations, we would probably suggest installing over the door hooks in the bathrooms and a series of hooks at the entry for ease in keeping things dry and tidy. Also we felt like the master bedroom comforter had seen better days. Our family had a great time and we would like to thank the Dupuy's for such nice accomodations. Our children are 9 and 6 and they never had a dull moment. They sure got a kick out of watching their own personal tvs to unwind at night or when they awoke. We will definitely return to 214 on our next visit to the area

The condo, beach and pool were first rate. The rental process couldn't be easier; Daniel was super helpful and offered many welcome tips for my stay. The condo was super clean and even better than advertised. Lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. This property is convenient to everything and a mere 10-15 minutes from Valparaiso airport. Very much looking forward to another stay here!

This was our 2nd stay in this unit. It was wonderful, I didn't want to leave! The view of the ocean from the balcony is beautiful and the condo was clean and comfortable, with all the comforts of home. Everything you can think of is provided and probably somethings you wouldn't think of. We were surprised to see beach toys under the sink. The beach is amazing, and the pool is great too.The location of the condo is nice, close to everything. Daniel makes the rental process a breeze, very helpful and accommodating. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone. Looking forward to returning next year!

Owners were very accomodating and have a great process for their rental. At least as professional as a property management firm, in my opinion more professional and more personal. I would absolutely rent from them again. Owners were also very prompt with responses to questions and very helpful in helping us find a Catholic church over the Easter weekend.

Great Stay!

The weather could have been better but the condominium and complex were top notch. the place is well maintained and has security and management people around from daylight till dark. This was our first stay in Ft. Walton and really enjoyed it. I realize it was probably a little off season but the place is away from the hustle and bustle of Destin but close enough to get there by a short drive. Quiet and relaxing!

The owner was very easy to work with. The condo's was clean and furnished well with everything you need for a comfortable stay, GREAT VIEW of the gulf also. Waters Edge complex is in an excellent location, with stores and restaurants near buy. My wife and kid are trying to get me to book our next years vacation right now in #214. The condo exceeded my expectations. The photos actually do not give a true picture of how nice it is. We sat out on the balcony all the time as it is perfectly located right in the center of the building; great view. Loved the location; close to everything but not sitting in traffic all the time. My new "go to" place for the beach. The owners were lovely to deal with and the fact that they are fellow "Who Dats" made it even better. I will DEFINITELY be back and will recommend to others.

We stayed at Waters Edge #214 From Saturday March 27th to Friday April 2nd. We had an abslute magnificent week stay in Daniel and Wendi's condo. This unit was loaded with amenities. My daughter loved the bunk beds with the built-in wall tv's. I was very impressed with the bose surround sound speaker system. The kitchen was very nice and came in very handy. The view from the balcony was exquisite. We were extremely pleased with our stay and we definitely hope to return. We stayed at your beautiful condo from 9/13-9/17 and had a wonderful time. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The view was breathtaking. When I asked my 7 yr old and 4 yr old what their favorite part of the trip was they both said the bunk beds ! =) We hope to come back and stay again next year!!

TV's in the bunk areas were nice , 3rd different unit here that we've stayed in, everything here was a "step-up" from the other 2 units . Last years unit had K-mart plastic chairs on the patio which 1 was broken , 214 had nice patio furniture . A few issues with pesky ants all week and not very clean upon arrival (dirty floors throughout and sand still on the couches!) Besides that , all was good ! My advice would be to BRING YOUR OWN LAPTOP! PC in the room is basically WORTHLESS unless you want to check weatherbug . It blocks 90% of what you try to go to i.e. , checking your bank account , paypal , any site that requires active X to run . Luckily one of the kids let me "borrow" theirs for a little while LoL . Owners very helpful .

Owner response: Although we received a positive response, I'm not happy to hear that we had a guest who wasn't completely satisfied. These issues could have been resolved with a telephone call. Unfortunately that didn't happen. The computer had been restricted due to a previous guests inappropriate downloads. That has now been corrected. Please allow me the opportunity to correct things if you feel something isn't right. I supply my cell number during your visit and am available 24/7 to correct any issues. Our goal is for you to have an enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Just completed a nine day stay at the condo and we were blessed with great weather and wonderful accomodations. The beach was fantastic as were the folks who work at Waters Edge. We will definitely plan on returning next year. Daniel & Wendy have a beautiful condo and we appreciate them sharing it with us. Add the High Tide as another great place to eat while on the Island.

This place is awesome. Kid friendly but grown-up friendly too. Decorated beautifully and the granite countertops are a nice touch. Huge pool and such easy access to pool and beach. Water's Edge seemed like one of nicest condos in the area. We'll be back.
