It's located a tad northeast of here on the north side of 24th, West side of Washington. An easy 5 minute walk. Closed on Sunday.

o iRock Utah, a huge indoor rock climbing and bouldering complex

Restaurants on 25th Street
1. The Union Grill - A few steps to the west inside Union Station.
2. Jasoh - At the southeast end of our block upstairs. A new and welcome addition here on 25th. They have a sit down white tablecloth side and a pub side. Both offer great choices and nice views out many of the seats. They say they serve "New American Cuisine".
3. Rovali's Ristorante Italiano - On this side of the street a few steps to the east. Good solid food here.
4. Tona Sushi - On the upper block (one to the east of ours) there are a bunch of choices.
Tona might be our favorite restaurant on the street. Sushi in Utah? Take our word, it’s excellent. You'll be surprised.
5. Roosters Brewing Company - Also in the upper block, across the street. We like the food a lot and the beer too!
6. Bistro 258 - Across the street from Roosters. One of the better restaurants on the street.
7. The Athenian - On the upper block is OK. They make a decent gyro for lunch.
8. Great Harvest Bread - The closest thing we have to a national chain on 25th (upper block). They make great bread and good sandwiches. You can smell the bread being baked in the morning clear down here at The Grand.
9. Sonora Grill - Over in The Junction. Excellent Mexican food. Be sure to get the guacamole, made fresh tableside.
10. Iggy's Sports Grill next door to Sonora Grill if you're looking for a sports bar kind of place.
Location - Ogden sits 35 miles north of Salt Lake City. It is an outdoor and cultural destination and boasts a Sundance Film Fest venue. It's easy to see why the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Ski, Sunset, Forbes and others have called Ogden "one of the ten places you gotta go" and America's next high adventure destination Mecca.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2007
Two of my great grandparents were born in Ogden in 1867. My mom's maiden name (Woodmansee) appears on at least two still-standing buildings in Ogden. There were many others in the past that have since been torn down.
I love the area for its natural beauty and its recreation. The mountain biking in the summer and the skiing in the winter are world class.
Restoring The Grand brought me a great sense of pride and accomplishment, and ties me back to my deep roots in Ogden.

Great VRBO!

Just got back from a long weekend of skiing at Snowbasin. This loft apartment is beautiful, clean, modern, huge and well located on 25th Street. This is our 5th VRBO and have yet to be dissapointed. I really enjoyed the history of the loft (from a newspaper article about the buildings redevelopment), the garage parking and entry into the unit, and the great restaurants right at our doorstep. Ate at Sonora Grill, and Roosters...both very good. Great Harvest for scones and muffins was perfect. This VRBO could have been a 5 out of 5 with a few subtle changes and information. The kitchen was gorgeous and well supplied. It would have been nice to have had a microwave so we could re-heat leftovers for a snack after a day skiing. Saturday night was a little loud as a band was playing below us in the bar until 10:00 or so. Nothing huge, but might have bothered some. All in all a great stay...thanks Thomas

Skiing Snowbasin Christmas Week

My family spent the week between Christmas and New Years in Ogden and spent the week in the two bed room. Our kids are 15 and 12. The last couple of years we have stayed in a ski in/out room. This year I was looking to save some money and we decided on Ogden and Snowbasin. Snowbasin is a 25 minute ride through Ogden Canyon in good weather and about an hour in heavy snow. We had four wheel drive so the 18 inches we got on Wednesday didn't slow us down and Thursday was and epic powder day. We are from the east coast so we don't see many powder days. My kids screaming and screeching through the powder was great. The apartment is great. Modern, clean and quite a few restaurant choices a block or two away. Being able to have breakfast and cook a few meals in helped save on the budget. Having the garage to pull into every night was great and alleviated any car cleaning in the morning. We would highly recommend the grand for a family or a group.

We recently stayed at The Grand and everything was perfect! Gourmet kitchen, comfortable yet stylish loft, music, unbelievable atmosphere. The owners do an amazing job with every detail. The write-up and recommendations for what to do and where to eat - spot on! And, yes, you can smell the bread baking from Great Harvest down the street. I highly recommend this rental - location is perfect, accommodations are breathtaking, and the owners are so helpful and insightful - an perfect vacation experience!
