A beautiful and clean condo complete with everything needed for a family vacation. Located at one of the very best spots on the island. Grotto Beach is the very best beach on the island and in our entire week there, we had the beaches of this island to "ourselves". The owner was extremely helpful in every way and went above and beyond. The neighbors and the islanders couldn't be more friendly. Thank you to Derek for providing a comfortable "home away from home". Our family would highly recommend both this condo and San Salvador. If you are looking for pristine water, excellent fishing and snorkeling, a getaway that is truly in touch with nature, then you will be very happy.This condo is a very special place indeed!

Derek & Michelle: I love your place in San Sal....3 trips later and I`m craving more!!! I love all the amenities (a/c, laundry facilities, latte coffee maker, etc) and its beautifully decorated. The SUV comes in handy too! San Salvador has some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen (and I have visited many of the Caribbean Islands). And those sunsets....no adequate words to describe them!!! I love Grotto Beach, its within walking distance but I also like to hop in the truck and drive around the island. On my last trip (Dec 2010) I discovered a new beach and its gorgeous (aren't they all?). I met some of your neighbors and made friends with some of the local people....all are super nice and friendly. I hope to go back this year stay at your place again. Just spent a week. Enjoyed it very much. This was the most well-appointed condo we have ever stayed at. Everything we needed was there. The suburban gave us the freedom to explore the whole island. It was comfortable, clean, and well located with a great beach just steps away. The beach was great for kids and snorkeling. We loved it and would DEFINITELY go back

Very relaxing vacation in a wonderful condo!

Fully remodeled, functional and new kitchen, sparkeling bathrooms(bigger than ours at home!) and new and well cared for furnishings made this the most comfortable vacation rental ever! Derek had all of the good information in our hands well before the trip so we knew what to expect from the get-go. The 88 Suburban is a beast! You will love driving it all over the island; it goes anywhere! East Bay and Dim Bay (east side of island) were great for days when the wind was coming from the west. Beatiful pink sand and calm water. Beware, the hike from Dim Bay to elusive Green Bay (thru the woods) is longer than you think! Wear long pants and take extra water and you might make it. Unfortunately, we did not. pout! French Bay's snorkeling was fabulous! Caves and rock formations are a site to behold! Club Med was fun, though we only spent 1 day there. Everything's included so it's worth the cost to spend at least 1 day hanging by the pool and eating off of a fabulous (4 room!) buffet. If you plan to stay for dinner, bring a change of clothes - the Club Medians all go back to their rooms, shower and dress up a bit for dinner. We didn't know this and were just in our beach clothes for dinner. No worries though, they're no better than we are just because they're wearing sparkly clothes. :-) Paradis Restaurant (north of airport) is really good! Very reasonably priced and if Angela (owner's mother) was any sweeter, she'd be made of sugar! "Seasoners" are in the condos as well. Bill and Norma were super helpful and couldn't be more friendly. Sara and Joe went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. Very comfy house for just myself and hubby, but could easily sleep more. The 2nd bedroom sleeps 4 very comfortably. Next time we head to the Bahamas (been to Eleuthera and Cat Island as well), it will be very difficult to decide if we want to try a new island or head back to San Sal. Hi Derek & Michelle, Ingrid and I wanted to thank you both very much for having us stay at your San Sal pad. We had a great time and really loved the island. Grotto beach was awesome, and I loved the rock formations along the beach. We drove around the island and saw snow bay and the lighthouse. Hey, by the way thank you also for the use of your SUV - I made sure we didn't run out of gas and filled up a couple of times - so the tank was left on 3/4 for future guest reference. Before I forget, Ingrid did one load of wash in the washing machine, no dryer use. The place was left very clean. You guys did a nice job on the finishes and furnishings - it looks nice. The TV with DVD came in handy also for Philip's cartoon movies. Thanks again, we will give you guys a call tonight or tomorrow to catch up. Gotta get ready for a meeting now. Kind regards, Bruce

Hi Derek, Everything went fine, thanks a lot for inquiring !!! We got very nice weather the first week, next one was so and so with some heavy rain also on two days. We left the condo clean and the truck with more gas than on arrival but you should have confirmation from the person who takes care of this for you on the island. Nothing requires attention or repair and we just can say that your condo is fully equipped !!! Thanks again Best regards Christel & Bruno

The Condo was absolutely perfect, we had the most amazing time. The weather was great the entire time we were there, and Bill was a great help to us with all our questions. We really can't think of anything that could have possibly made our stay better, honestly everything was perfect. We did leave our floaties in the shed, so that the next groups of people can use them. The only problem we had was trying to find a liquor store that was actually open, but it was an adventure!! We have and will continue to spread the word about the Condo, and will give out the website to anyone who asks, and even those that don't ask! Thanks again for everything, it was truly the best vacation that we could have ever hoped for. We look forward to staying there again in the very near future! Richard

My girlfriend and I stayed at this location for 3 awesome days June19-22/09 which ended up being a runaway winner on the highlight of our trip category! The Bungalow its self, wow! it is completely locked & stocked brand new and has everything you need and then some. It's also only a stones throw away from one of if not "the best" secluded beaches on the island so you don't have to go far to get in the water or relax on a ultra quiet beach. The suburban that comes with the property is key, options of travel around the island are next to none so it came in handy getting food, beer other supplies & site seeing around the island. As an added bonus the couple that own the property are really cool and down to earth. We highly recommend this spot to anyone considering a getaway for seclusion, amazing sunsets, and beautiful white sandy abandoned beaches. We would love to go back anytime we got the chance! cheers- James and Rachelle
